We have a segment on a fun show out here that gets English language songs translated into Japanese and then re-translated again. Similar results to what you saw.

Minus 1.6, nothing at stake and 10.26 to finish the season. That's a pretty good result.

Congratulations Christophe on a really outstanding season for your first year as a senior!

Other than the wind, we don't know anything about the conditions, but I think he must have run better than the time indicates. My reason for saying that is the massive margin of victory between Christophe and Wallace Spearmon (a top performer) in second. .21--that's a lifetime.

Also, a quick note to Mastermulti--Craig Mottram scored a win at the Great Northern Games yesterday. That was his first race in two years, so you have to be impressed.

I hope Guliyev will be in good shape as well. That will increase the competion level, and push both sprinter to run faster.

I love this kid. He is all about two things in life. Winning races and getting faster every year. I predict a 9.85 in the contest and that is what he predicts if he going to take down the European Record. Man would that be amazing. I feel he has a good chance but they have so much work to do in the off season. Again I think they should focus more on outdoors next season. He needs more time to rest, then put on some serious size, keep hitting the plyometrics, fix and start and continue to refine his form. The guy has so much upside if they can just fix his flaws. I'm still just amazed at how fast he can run with this many things not going smoothly. This is why he could just end up being one of the greatest sprinters in history before all is said and done.

Nice race by Ramil Guliyev and I'm happy that Lemaitre wants him to get back into shape to. If only Guliyev could run for France. Now that would really be special. To see the two greatest white sprinters in the world on the same team pushing each other!

he is a star in Japan and ASICS has made a big ad campaign on his name.
It's because he run sub 10, when 20. He proved that it's not a matter of skin color. (it's a big thing in Japan, as the NR is 10.00!).

great find, thanks LoLy. The Japanese have already taken him to heart.

That was easy, made the others looked pedestrian when he hit top speed. Wallace Spearmon has high top speed too but didn't make any impression at all.

Now he can go home, perfect his English/media/public skills while putting in the heavy work to get stronger. I'd think he's earned enough this year to make sure full time training isn't a burden on his parents purse-strings.

Fantastic year for him... the year he became a (at least mini)star.
We long timers here have waited an age for this!

They will make a movie about this kid someday. He just has that star aura about him. It couldn't happen to a nicer kid too. He is very humble and respectful while at the same time being the utlimate competetitor. I loved the video. That must have been the trip of a life time for him!

watch Ramil in lane 2. Slow away, popped straight up and din't accelerate very well. He did show the speed we know he has by taking the two Japanese sprinters in the last 15 metres.

He certainly looked like a man who hasn't sprinted much this year. Let's hope for a much better 2011 for him

A list of the top ten average 100 metre averages 168 deep.

Christophe's 10.028 puts him in the top 25, up there with Kim Collins.
Of course Bolt would jump in at 1st spot now with Gay 2nd and Powell a little further back.
Only other white in the top 50 is Shirvington

nice list but the last update is from 2002. I'm sure in the last 8 years at least 20 sprinter have done better than him.
the list also includes time that were later deleted because the guy get caught for PED (exemple 9.87 from dwain chambers...)
But anyway, it's interesting .
When he will rank with an average of 9.90 , we'll see his ranking! I see this within 3 years
