10.28 is not elite time. so Lemaitre is done in the 100 meters, mostly due to the lack of skill Caraz and his team bring to a Natural, very talented, once in a lifetime Athlete like Lemaitre.... And Lemaitre is much to blame for not wanting change or to leave his surroundings behind. Hopefully this wakes him up.

1st , that 10.28 was made with -0.8 wind and horrible start.
2nd With decent start and average ind (+1.0) Lemaitre is capable easily to run 10.10 in this moment.
3rd Only 3 runners by country in europen championship (UK)
4th Lemaitre has big enduance and manage rounds very good, another europeans NO.

Im totally sure that if Lemaitre is healthy will be 3rd-5th place in final 100 European Championship.

Regards ;)

20.11 is not 19.80, it also was not the winning time. HE has regressed in the 100 for sure. The 200? Has not run sub 20 in 2 years so seems like it.

Why you and Caraz strive for 2nd , 3rd, 4th place etc. is beyond belief. Lemaitre is talented enough to be #1 in both the 100 and 200 if he was handled properly from the beginning. You just dont want to admit to this because you and Caraz have some sort of connection or you are just another arrogant European Know it all

All of his training seems to be towards the 200. I don't know if that is on purpose or by accident but his 100 times have clearly regressed this season. At the Euro Championship he will be a lane filler at best in the 100 final. I know he is a racer more than pure time guy but 10.2X guys don't beat 9.9X guys even with better big race heart.

Hey RCSMAN. What are your expectations for Christophe for the rest of the summer? Be honest please. Also even though you like Coach Caraz, can you not see that Christophe has gotten slower over both distances? Whether it's coaching, injuries, or Christophe not executing the game plan, he has been getting slower. People on track boards say he is no longer a threat to medal. Yes they are just fans but please give me your honest answer as to why Christophe has ran slower for the last 2 or 3 years? Thanks in advance and I will await your answer.

One last thing. Do you know when his next couple of races are? Thanks again.

A elite sprinter is a machine of high precision, when you modify something, (body-building) it can create another problem (change of sensation, bad quality of strides)

Christophe has to master his new body, it is difficult for him

Christophe will un this week end

saturday : 100M
sunday : 200M

Bodybuilding? If He is Bodybuilding, he will regress to the 11 second mark. He needs to be Strength training. Muscle density and a little size is the after effect. He needs heavy weight with low reps and mixed with Olympic lifting and some Plyos. The only high rep weight training should be done with moderate weights during the in season to maintain strength. In the winter he needs to train like an Olympic Weight lifter. This will will build power and fix his start speed and acceleration out of the blocks. His top end speed wont go anywhere as it is natural. That comes with his speed training sessions. Please Pass this along to his amateur coaches, will you.

PS: I have a Jesus fish on my car so I wont be going to hell! HA!

He had 3 years to master this body. Bad coaching caused this mess.

No in 100 hardly he can to defeat to Vicaut or Dasaolu healthy.
Both can to run in 9.9 low with few wind, Lemaitre around 10.00 with few wind being optimistic.
For him to get medal in 100 in Zúrich will be very good

In 200 i wait a sub20 and gold medal

I wait that today Lemaitre running without rivals, he is running relaxed and gets 10.10 with average wind (around +1.0 m/s)
It would be good time for him and bigger confidence

We should to remember that the last year in this championship Lemaitre got 2nd place with 10.19 +0.3 losing with 9.95 Vicaut.

And later in Moscow Lemaitre got very good 10.00 +0.4 in semifinal getting to go the final in a very hard world championship

Lemaitre will improve again in the big championship

I assume Vicaut was not in the race...?

I think against lesser competition Lemaitre can run better, because he is not so far behind at the start and can run more relaxed.
But with his terrible start against major competition, he is several meters behind at the beginning of the race, and then he has too much pressure immediately to try to catch-up to guys that can run as fast as he can.
He loses these races at the start. I think it will be very difficult for him to medal in any championships because of his poor start.

A small step in the right direction for the kid. I'm happy he ran that time twice. It will help him to regain some confidence. I want to see a time tommorow around 20 seconds flat if the conditions are nice. Glad to sse him regain the title. :becky:

Lemaitre wins 200m french title with normal time 20.53, no rivals.
It is not very bad, but i expected better time.

On Monaco he will run against amazing runners in 200: Ashmeade,Weir, Alonso Edward,Mitchell, the recent winner trial Jamaica Dwyer with 20.04 and the superstars USA Gatlin and Gay.

Wonderful race for to get amazing time.

There are more than 25 European sprinters who have run faster 100m this year than Lemaitre. That's amazing! in a very bad way.

With his 10.14 at the French Championships, Lemaitre is now tied for the 12th fastest European sprinter this season.
That's much better than 25th fastest, but this talented guy should be in the Top 5 with no problem.
10.14 is a good time generally, but not for Lemaitre....

10.19 last year in french championship and after 10.00 in semifinal Moscow.

Now 10.14, i see him with options for medal in Zurich.
Only Dasaolu and Vicaut in normal conditions are clearly better than him

He could be duplicating his form of last season. He also has a mental edge on these two sprinters as he has performed better at major meets. Last season Vicaut had better form then Lemaitre yet Vicaut cracked up and crashed and burned his semi and Lemaitre gutted it out and out leaned the Chinese sprinter for the last spot in the final. In the final he beat Dasaolu to the line with a tight hamstring. Maybe things aren't all lost this season...

Still, isn't it a bid sad that we are wondering if MAYBE he can get a bronze medal at the Euro Championships?
