Lemaitre runs 20.30 in the 200 (ok time) +1.3 wind

Vicaut smokes at 9.95 for first race of year! +1.7 wind

Gatlin ran 9.92 in China no wind

Vicaut will be new the French and possibly European 100 meter record holder this year....curious to see Vicaut run the 200, I almost bet he has improved much more than last year. Dont be surprised to see Lemaitre come in 2nd in both races against Vicaut. Vicaut better trained at a better pace with better coaching...you can see it in his progress and some of his training videos starting 3 years ago...get strong first, then technique, then speed...Lemaitre complete opposite, because his 'Coach' knows all! Its the cones, Pierre, the cones!!!! SMH!

Good race for Lemaitre today in 200, 20.30
With luck in 1-2 months he could to get some sub20.

By the other hand, Vicaut looks a lot of better in 100.
Lemaitre will have very hard to get gold in european 100, with Vicaut or Dasaolu.
In 200 hard too, but it is possible, with big rivals like Gemili, Martina or Ndure.

I would tell silver or bronce in 100, gold in 200 and silver in 4x100

"In 200 hard too" I DON'T AGREE
Christophe will run sub 19.7

RCSMAN, if Gemili and Martina are in big shape, they are sub20 perfectly.
So it will be hard.
Of course i must in Lemaitre for gold, but not for sub 19.7 hehe, i will tell 19.7-19.8 :icon_wink:

enough with the basic time nonsense....about 4 years ago, there was this tall, gangly, skinny, hardly any muscle in his pale torso, blond kid who just ran a 10.04! raw! after that he improved to sub 10 a few times, then mysteriously he regressed- excuses: tired, ammonia, flu, wrong shoes, altitude to low, wind too strong.weak, blah blah......yet his coaches continued to work on 'technique' and not the 'Evil" 'Bodybuilding" as some may call it...not realizing that this bodybuilding is a foundation for all power related sports and done correctly will drastically improve ones athletic performance, proven 100% of the time...it took 3 years, maybe 3 years too late to add to this mix....and then you ask why I bash!

Here is a recent article from France of someone defending Carraz as a coach to Lemaitre, why this Article released? Maybe because in the inner circles, they know Carraz does not know how to mold someone with a ridiculous amount of raw talent like Lemaitre has...makes you wonder

http://www.sports.fr/athletisme/chr...efend-le-duo-lemaitre-carraz-1054456/?sitemap

PS: If Lemaitre was trained correctly from the get-go, there should be no question who would win the 100 and 200 in Europe, and he would be able to do it running backwards...now, the 200 shouldn't be a issue, but I bet Vicaut has improved dramatically at this end as well...wait and see.

PS: RCSMAN, Have I ever called you stupid? Be a man and take criticism in a positive way...and I will always keep my word that I will kiss your ass if Lemaitre is able to break his personal best in the 100 and 200, but I just don't see it coming. Excuses will be made...

Argument: Lemaitre has not progressed in the 60, 100 or 200 in 3 years. FACT! Argument accomplished!

Gatlin has confirmed his big shape 9.92 (0.0)

Gatlin confirmed that he is in big shape, but that -3.5 en Tokyo is very very doubtful.
Probably would be around -2.5 maximum and 9.90 real basic time perhaps.
It is my opinion.

I dont think that Gatlin and Rodgers get their best basic time in their lifes and that few minutes before the wind was -0.8 m/s in 100 m women, and -1.2 m/s in 200m men before too.
And Gatlin travelling since Kingston to Tokyo, half world, and with jet lag

If Lemaitre want to get sub20 or sub 19.8 he should to be getting several sub10 this year too, 9.96 ,9.98,.. something around it

Regards

REALLY ?

In 2011, Vicaut ran 10.12 (-1.8) = 10.00 BASIC TIME
in 2013, Vicaut ran 9.95 (0.3) (Charlety very fast track) = 9.97 BASIC TIME

where is his progression ? :noidea::noidea:

Sorry, but i dont think than that measured wind was real.
The real shape for Gatlin in this moment is around 9.90 basic, not 9.80 or near it.
Perhaps in July-August but not now.

By the other hand, i hope that Lemaitre is in his next 100m in 10.05-10.10 basic time, it would be good time for him

It has been a while I haven't posted on this thread but seeing some post criticizing his coach makes me unconfortable.

You guys, have to understand that Christophe likes his coach, his way of life and has fun in Aix les Bains where he lives.

Some people say that if you change his diet, make him lift weights a lot, he wouldn't be able to make it and would give up. That's a fact, we don't have to project ourselves in Christophe, he gave a lot, he made crazy things and made his supporters very proud, and if worst case scenario, he would not be able to go sub-10, and sub-20, well that's life and we have to accept it.

In this interview (in french sorry):

http://www.lemonde.fr/sport/article...evenir-le-meilleur-europeen_4357343_3242.html

He clearly says that he won't be able to go in another country for training and that he does not enjoy being far too long from his family and friends. The truth is he likes in life in Aix les bains, his coach and his partners training and we have to respect that.

Now for this year, I'm sure he will shine on 200m and will probably go sub 19'9 and on 100m he will be somewhere between 9'96 and 10'03.

TEST IN JAPON

2011

Thats fine, the point is he has not progressed. If Lemaitre prefers mediocracy, then he can stick with his current coaches, if he wants to be the best- and HE CAN BE- then a change may be good for him. He is 24 years old, he is a man and should no better that if he really wants to succeed and be the European record holder in the 100 and 200, he will take a different course. Other than Bolt, Lemaitre is the only other sprinter with lots of raw talent, and unfortunately not fully tapped, and that is due to mediocre coaching and trainers. Its a shame. I hope Im proven wrong, but every year it is the same BS.

At around 240~300m altitude of Aix le Bain's track it's 10.04 basic time for Vicaut's time.

Basic time this and that....stop making excuses for RCSMAN and Lemaitre mediocre times. Vicaut currently is faster, not because 'he is', but because he is trained better.

So let him prefer "mediocracy" and stop polluate this forum with your moanings. You too you are a man so act with respect like a real man.

For others people that know track and field, Pierre Carraz made Christophe the athlet he is now, and if Chistophe wants to stay with him , it is his choice.

Complaining that he did not gain muscle or did not improve his start because he did not lift enough is useless, you guys are just supporters and not on the track.

And every guy with a little knowledge, would notice easely that Christophe is a an ectomorph and will never gain muscles like Jimmy Vicaut even for the same amount of training.

Now, he did an interesting 20'30 for his first 200m and improved his indoor record, good things will come.
