CASTE FOOTBALL -- SITE REBUILD

The Caste Football site needs to be rebuilt after some six and a half years in its present form. The company that built the site was bought out by a larger corporation a couple of years ago, and as usually happens in such situations, a lot of staff was laid off after the merger, including those responsible for building and supporting websites.

CF is not "flexible," in that I have no ability to change anything on the homepage and other pages without going through -- and paying -- the company that built it, a company that no longer provides technical support and know-how. I can add articles and links to articles on the homepage, but for example I can't update the introduction, which includes now inaccurate and dated statements like: "There are zero starting white tailbacks. No white running back has run for over 1,000 yards in nearly a quarter of a century." And if you look at older material you'll see that there are a lot of broken and missing links and articles, again something I can't do anything about under the present circumstances.

Additionally, there are other problems with the site, which I don't want to detail here. The bottom line is that Caste Football needs to be modernized with a complete makeover, which I hope CF supporters will pitch in and contribute to.

The cost to rebuild CF and keep it cutting edge is $2,500, give or take a few bucks.

I've never made a money pitch before to CF supporters, but I am now.

On an average day, several thousand people visit here, viewing some 60,000 to 70,000 pages of articles and commentary. By my conservative estimate, Caste Football has at least 15,000 regular and semi-regular supporters and we have spread the message about the unfairtreatment White athletes often get far and wide. We have made a real difference in making a lot of people realize that there is a racial Caste System in sports, a reality that wascompletely unaddressed in the U.S. until Caste Football came along.

One of the main attributes of the internet is its anonymity, which has both advantages and disadvantages. I know the actual identity of very few people that support the site; even most of the posters I only know as usernames even though I consider many to be friends, thus it is easy to expect others to do the heavy lifting when one is essentially anonymous.

Certainly the supporter base exists to raise $2,500; the question is, will enough respond?

I hope so, and I also hope many of the "guests" who don't post will also pitch in. Many people don't post for various reasons, and there are far more supporters who don't post than there are posters.

Note: I am planning to change the discussion forum software to V-Bulletin, which is generally acknowledged as the best available. But only if all the posts on the current board software can be successfully transferred over to V-Bulletin. If they can't be I'll stay with WebWiz, which works well enough.

Second note: I've done some legwork on CF having its own weekly radio show on a national patriotic network. But as with the site rebuild, it will take some financial help from supporters to make it a reality, both initially and on a sustaining basis. If the CF community responds to the above appeal, then we can move forward to making a radio show a reality in 2011.

I really enjoy your site Don. I find alot of really good posters, like whitelightning, parody and jaxvid and many others.

Hopefully money orders to ANU will be a way to donate. As well, I will donate some of the profits I take off of the government of canada and their fixed line sports betting, designed to ripoff the public but as easy as taking candy from a baby for a pro.

Just contributed $55. This is an honor and pretty much the least I can do.

Just remember, giving to Caste Football is not a sacrifice or giving up anything. We are contributing money to have a better, more effective, and more influential site. We are giving to advance the cause of white athletes like almost all of us are or were at some point.

Trust me I'm no rich man, and I'd love to give more, and plan on doing so before this drive is over. I have a shaky job status as do many other people my age who recently graduated college and are living and working in a New World Economy, so believe me things aren't easy. But if you believe somewhat in new age philosophy like I do, giving is good for you and actually influences your personality to attract better opportunities.

All that being said, I'm sure there's a few that are in a worse off situation than me. If you can't give 50 bucks then give 25. If you are truly destitute, and I doubt that actually describes anyone here, then give 10 bucks. You can buy a case of beer and walk around the ghetto or a college campus on Thu-Sat night selling them for a buck a beer, you should have $12 or so in an hour or so.

I'm not trying to be a hypocrite, but if life has been good to you make sure to give $100 or more. I will top $100 by the time this is over.

My only request on the site makeover is that enable comments on all the articles on the front page. I think this will pull in a lot of lurker traffic, and I don't think it will take anything away from our message boards.

$100 check is about to go in the mail. And honestly, this is the absolute least I can do for CF. This site has changed me in so many ways, I wish I was capable of giving more. As my limited college budget allows, I'll be sending more.

I get paid next week and I will be happy to send a donation in the mail to help Caste Football and hopefully help in raising the needed $2500. The education I have gotten on this site is worth far more than my donation and it is the least I can do.

I'm really excited about the possibilities that exist for
Caste Football in the near future. A new, more flexible site would be great on
a number of levels. A regular radio show would be fantastic! I want to see both
of these things happen, so I just donated $100 and will be giving more next
month. I know times are tough and a lot of you men don't have a lot of extra
cash lying around, but I believe we can all afford to give at least $10. $50
shouldn't be too difficult for a lot of you.
My thinking is that if you believe in a cause, you should
support it in any way possible, including donating money to that cause. I gave to CF when I was an almost completely broke grad student just because I believed it was
a worthy cause and the right thing to do. I'm not asking any man here to go broke giving to CF,
but I believe we can all pitch in and help out, especially if it means
that we are able to have a better website and attract more people to our cause.
I'm thankful to Don for CF and I appreciate all the hard work he has put into educating and enlightening our people up over the last three decades!

I will send in 25 dollars by snail mail. I will try to send more at the end of the month, I have this job lined up helping my uncle lay tile so I won't have much money until it is done. Money has been tight after the Christmas holidays and going across country to visit my wife's family. If everyone just put up even 10 dollars we should have no problem raising 2500.

Don, I hope credit card donations will keep coming in. In the past I had sent money orders, just skeptical of paying with cc. But it was so much more effortless paying with cc. It's safe and secure, and even if some James Bond type hacker did get a hold of it you have protection through your bank.

Just to let everyone know early on I was still a little afraid of paying with cc to the ANU, so it's important for people to know you can pay with money order too and it's completely anonymous. Just make sure to make it out to the name/address Don listed on the top of the thread.

While it's not preferable because if the mail is "lost" the money is gone forever, you can send cash too.

The online credit card paying mechanism doesn't always work the first time someone trys to use it (yet another reason the site needs an overhaul), but if it doesn't try again as it usually will the second time.
