One poster here said that he was in a Minnesota bar when it was announced over the TV that Ponder was out for the playoff game and would be replaced by Webb. He said most of the whites in the bar cheered. Of course, Webb is nowhere near as good as Ponder.

In fairness Lebron James IS a phenominal athlete. The best ever? No. Would he make a good NFL quarterback? Obviously not. BUT he is a good basketball player and I think he would be a good player under any circumstances.

True story as told by Larry McCarren play by play guy for the Packers, he and another lineman got probowl invites and so they go over to Hawaii, but for some reason have no rental car. Theissman picks the both of them up and on the drive over to practice Joe talks only about Joe so much so that the next day the two take a cab and refuse Joe's invite. This year Manuel was hyped as being "extremely intelligent," "ultra smart," etc.

But isn't the MSM sports media like the old Soviet news agency 'Tass' in the minds of most sports fans? No matter what ESPN or Draft daddy say. They know blacks are stupid. Funny you mention that, when an afflete does well on the Wonderlic (rare occurrence) it's touted through the roof. When they fail miserably at it (which is most of the time) the media is hush hush or they might even go so far as to call anyone who so much as brings it up a racist.

I think you're right. A lot of whites are sick of the constant negative portrayals of whites and the constant campaign to portray blacks as being superior to white people.

I think everyone knows. It's a testament to the strength of propaganda that so many people willingly believe it over their lying eyes. What they see on television and in movies stands in stark contrast to what they see at work every day, or at the grocery store, or the post office. It's a matter of whether things like the caste system destroy their host (football, in this case), before they collapse of their own absurdity. I think that in the case of the NFL, those are one in the same. To make black QBs prominent, they will have to dumb down the NFL even more, AND make it safe for the QB to take off and run. Can they dumb it down enough, and make enough rules, without cutting into the money? That is the question.

Garrard was at least a decent player. Jackson was a practice squad player disguised as a 2nd string/spot starter. Ps when a veteran is inactive for an entire season because he can't understand the playbook he is a joke but this could explain why Chan Gailey was part of the seasonal unemployment spike in January.....
