There's not much exciting to write about this team, however I'm tired of seeing no new posts in this forum since 2018, so here goes nothing. :p

Matt Ryan just turned 36 and this is a big season for him now that Julio Jones has moved on and there are no proven receivers on the team other than Calvin Ridley, though Russell Gage has potential. The Falcons also have the ultra-heralded rookie tight end Kyle Pitts, already anointed a hall of famer by the hive mind media and DWFs, so it'll be interested to see how he fares this season as tight ends almost always struggle as rookies while Pitts is presumed to be an instant mega-star. If Ryan doesn't have a good season the Falcons will likely start looking for his replacement in the '22 draft.

John Cominsky remains the sole overachieving defender on the Falcons. He's in the mix on the line, but played less than half of the snaps last year and that looks to be his role again for this season.

The o-line as of now is projected to be 4/5 White, but with the drafting of Pitts, Hayden Hurst's role will be significantly reduced from last year.

Hopefully Pitts gets moved to receiver which is his natural position in my opinion. Not that Hayden Hurst wouldn’t excel as wr as well but would never get the opportunity.

I wonder if Julio Jones moving on will be addition by subtraction for Matt Ryan (think of Baker Mayfield once he did not feel compelled to throw to Beckham after he was out for the year). He won't be forced to throw to Jones anymore. Hurst should be a servicable number 2 TE. Pitts won't live up to the hype that has surrounded him - he's another Evan Engram type (hopefully less prone to drops) but lacks the ability to be a powerful blocker.

I've always been a big Matt Ryan fan, crazy to think he's already 36! NFC south should be interesting once again.

Love Matty Ice as well! Been criminally overrated and underrated. As accurate and cerebral as anyone can be. Would love to see him win a ring before retiring.
Love the 4/5 O line. A snowplow would be nice but this is still excellent for this era.
Also keep an eye out for WR Austin Trammell, a UDFA. The Falcons were openly very high on him pre-draft, and he could at least earn a PS spot. Always wanted Ryan to have a slot guy like him, he certainly deserves a chance because he can do great things.

UDFA WR Austin Trammell has been a standout so far in camp. The coaches and team reporters have been praising him, and Matt Ryan called him a fun guy to watch and play with. Caught a few passes with the first team. Saw all this in a video, can’t find the link rn though.

DE John Cominsky also has been getting a lot of 1st Team Reps in camp.

Matt Ryan is a talented QB who's been screwed over year after year by terrible defenses. He'd consistently put up great stats (and rack up big points for my fantasy team) only to be let down by a D that couldn't stop a wet noodle.

Those defenses, of course, always had few to no palefaces, but no one in (((mainstream sports media))) ever questioned why team management kept doing the same thing over and over when it clearly wasn't working. Because "the best players play, muh only true meritocracy" or something like that.

As @Christ-is-king mentioned - Trammell has been cut.

The Falcons did sign Rosen - I would think he is viewed as a more competent qb than Franks.

Calvin Ridley just got busted for gambling on NFL games and has been suspended for the entire 2022 season, forfeiting his 11 million dollar salary.

Mental health issues should be taken very seriously and I have zero tolerance for anyone who fakes them for attention or for covering up illegal activity.

That's amusing. I believe he did have a mental health scare when he feared he was going to be caught! Thought that situation was fishy when it first arose, a couple games into the season.

The Tom Iron Rule proves itself again.

For those unfamiliar with it, here it is: "Blacks will always find a way to louse things up."

This guy Ridley had it made in the shade and he loused it up. He lost 11 million dollar and his career is in jeopardy. It's extremely doubtful he made that amount of money gambling.

Ridley tweeted something to the effect of : “it was only $1500, I don’t have a gambling problem.” He has no clue why the NFL doesn’t want him gambling on NFL games…

The Falcons trade Matt Ryan to the Colts. They then signed Marcus Mariota to a two year contract.

Mariota has not shown he can be the answer at quarterback so he Falcons may be targeting a quarterback in the draft.

The Falcons pick eighth. Maybe they'll draft Kenny Pickett with that pick. Pickett has everything you want in a quarterback, except maybe hand size.

A one-year suspension for gambling on games is fair. It's what Pete Rose should have gotten.

Nick Kwiatkoski signed with the Falcons. He'll likely need injuries to be more than a backup.

The Falcons now have a whopping 3, count 'em, 3 White defensive players. Troy Andersen is going to be a star it's just a matter of whether he has to endure a racial apprenticeship or not; they also have end John Cominsky, but he's yet to have played much over three seasons.

Stop the presses!

They also have college star linebacker Nate Landman, who has a decent shot to make the team as a backup and WSTD. Then if we count the blue eyed quadroon (?) Erik Harris, who starts at FS, they have 3.75 White players.

Falcons cut Chad Hansen. Such a talented player who never gets the shot he deserves… ugh this sucks.

No one can explain to me how Hansen is not a starter in the NFL. Yes he is that good. At the very worst he is a 3rd or 4th receiver on any team. It's just amazing how some
guys can't catch a break despite having so much talent. I wonder if he is religious. They really hate guys like that. We need to take America back from the communists that
are taking over sports and every aspect of society. Chad Hansen deserves better. This really makes me angry!

This isn't surprising given how little Cominsky was used last year despite being quite productive in part-time play in 2020. Let's hope he catches on with another team and gets regular playing time.

Falcons released DE John Cominsky.
Cominsky was a fourth-round selection by the Falcons in the 2019 NFL Draft and appeared in 27 games throughout his career. Per PFF, Cominsky saw significant action in 2020, appearing on 399 defensive snaps while totaling 30 tackles, 21 QB pressures and one sack. In 2021 he appeared in just four games for the Falcons, and will now look to continue his career elsewhere in 2022. Atlanta saves $965,000 against the cap with Cominsky's release.

It looks as if a mega-purge of white players is about to take place throughout the league, even worse than usual...

Releasing John Cominsky was a big surprise to me. The Falcons currently have one of the worst D-Lines I’ve ever seen and Cominsky was still on a rookie deal.

The Falcons signed LB Kaden Elliss away from the Saints. Elliss' father is former NFL player Luther Elliss, who is definitely Black which makes Kaden a full-blooded Negro by this country's crazy racial definitions, but his mother must be white as the driven snow. It's likely most fans who see him in a uniform figure he's White.

Never knew Ellis was part black. Always rooted for him and won’t stop now. Good signing for Atlanta, as I’ve said many times that Ellis is wildly successful every time he’s gotten starts or significant snaps.
