This thread gets a later start than usual since the rule change a couple of years ago that consolidated all of the final roster cuts to a two-day period after the teams last pre-season game.

Paul Worrilow is among the first to be hacked from the Ravens, barely a few days since he was signed off of the free agent wire. Now technically he wasn't "purged" unless you consider when he was booted from the Falcons as his official purge. He opted to "retire". I'm sure he has his reasons, but considering the typical Ravens locker room, it makes perfect sense.

Jordan Taylor went from being the favorite to be the Vikings' third receiver a couple of months ago to the Caste scrap heap. It always was unlikely that the Vikings would keep four overachievers at WR. Hopefully Beebe and Zylstra both join Thielen on the 53, which will still be very nice to see.

Vikings released WR Jordan Taylor.
Taylor was competing for one of the final receiver spots. His release isn't necessarily a good sign for Laquon Treadwell's roster chances. Brandon Zylstra is the favorite to open the season as the Vikings' No. 5 receiver.

Please let Zenner go to the Vikings, Pats, Steelers, or Packers. Heck just let him go to where they will play him. He should be a starter in this racist league. So much talent but like so many
others overlooked simply due to the color of his skin.

Seeing him in GB would be surreal. They witnessed 1st hand his talent in last season's finale. With Gutenkunt in charge now, not likely. Cheering for ZZ to sign somewhere else!

With Gutenkunt in charge now

Bucky knows that is a very slight misspelling of the Packers GM but I think for the purposes of capturing the essence of this caste patsy the name fits like a glove.

I am beginning to wonder if Gutenkunt is a secret agent for the Bears? He is doing everything possible to sabotage and destroy this once great franchise.

Hiring a young pliable head coach on purpose in order to put in place his "vision," Gutenkunt is breaking NFL precedent by benching a young star in Fackrell. Only 27 and showing Bryce Paup like skills it is an outright frontal caste attack on a budding white star. This would never happen to a young black edge player who performed like Fackrell last year. Never.

Should I remind Packers fans that the year Paup left the Pack for the Bills he was named 1995 NFL Defensive MVP and had one of the all time great seasons by an edge player.

I wonder how Zenner feels now about re-signing with the Lions out of loyalty to an organization that has none for him and never did, when he could have signed with the Vikings and been RB 1B to Dalvin Cook's 1A, not to mention Cook is injury prone.

Zach Zenner released.

For what it’s worth, it seems like many DWF’s are angry about this move.

It seems like Mark Thompson, a scrub who never rushed for more than 300 yards during any given collegiate season at Florida, made the squad over Zenner.

I’m hoping that Zenner gets major revenge on Detroit for wasting his time...but it’s unlikely.

Lol yes Shadowlight has hit the nail on the head. Funny you mention Paup, my pops used the same comparison when talking about Fackrell. I have no idea if Fackrell.could win Defensive MVP but you are one hundred percent right when you say a young black edge player would not be treated like Fackrell has been. On the verge of stardom..

I'm sure you've noticed white players seem oblivious to such considerations.

Zenner only had the Lion's best ypc (5.1,) among their RB's so far during the pre season.

As we head into this next week, let's remember that we hope for the best and expect the worst. On defense: outside of Luke Kuechly, J.J. Watt, and Harrison Smith, ANY white player could be cut. On offense: Christian McCaffrey is safe. Rex Burkhead is probably safe. Nall and Laird will probably be cut. Thielen is safe. Kupp is probably safe. Edelman is safe. The top level white tight ends are safe. The top level (starting) white QB's and offensive linemen are safe. ALL others are in danger. It doesn't matter how well they have played in preseason. It doesn't matter what glowing terms the coach has used to describe them. It's going to be ugly. It always is. Zenner is just the beginning.

They don't know it yet, but Luck's retirement was a real hit to the nfl. I think it will make the powers that be very cautious. They don't want to awaken a sleeping lion.

Coach Patricia's effusive praise of Zenner earlier in camp was a sure sign he was in danger of getting cut. I don't see him signing anywhere else. I think he's dinged up so he wouldn't be of much use to anyone right away.

Lions sign a scrub castoff to replace Zenner. Really sh*tty move!

Bleak street right around the corner. It could end up worse than even we anticipate.

Unless something changes in preseason game 4 it looks like both WR Scotty Miller and S Chris Johnson will not make the 53 man roster.

Which is a bloody shame when you consider not only their talent but their athletic ability which his heads and tails above most NFL players.

Bruce Arians of the Bucs has retreated into his long lived caste shell and threw Miller under the bus with a very nasty comment following his first preseason game. If Miller doesn't make the roster I still figure someone with at least half a brain will seize him and get him on an NFL roster sooner than later. Unless they take the "keep the fast white guy out of the league" manifesto mantra to heart.

Speaking of which WR Andy Isabella will probably ( although not a done deal) make the Cardinals roster but already the local media is complaining and downgrading him. Already are saying he may not see much time on offense. Again the greatest threat to the caste system are hyper fast athletic white players and what do you know the media and coaching staffs are conspiring to trip them up. See how the local Redskins media treats S Troy Apke if you want to see a hate machine in full mode.

The Texans appear to like S Chris Johnson's superb ranginess but are holding back on him thinking he needs to bulk up. Or should I rephrase that and say Johnson isn't lit up on steroids like so many other black DBs are these days.

I suspect if Johnson was black there wouldn't be any of this hemming and hawing about his "frame." He has ample size to play the position. Just pure rubbish nonsense. Looks like they want to "develop" him on the practice squad even though he looked the part of an NFL safety in their last preseason game, breaking up deep passes with ease.

Sir, we all have to face facts. Between the owners and players are the coaches. The coaches are between a rock and a hard place. They must do what they're told from above and on the other hand, they know if they don't do what the blacks want, the blacks will sabotage the team. I'm sure there are coaches who are all in on this and there are some who are torn apart when they see a superior White Athlete get cut, but what can they do? Look at the poor guy they drafted #1 overall this year. That came down from the league I'm sure. They wanted so much to have a black QB chosen 1st they even chose a guy who has zero chance of being in the league 5 yrs. from now except maybe as a back somewhere.

Laird will probably be cut.

are you sure about that? The team has been featuring him quite a bit on their social media (Kind of odd to do that for a player they’re going to cut in just a couple of weeks) and the Dolphins don’t exactly have a whole lot of depth at the RB position. I can see him making the team if not only because the other RBs have been so god awful

Laird has been their best running back in the preseason. Their fans seem to have taken to him. If he were black, he'd be a lock to make the team and probably start. He should make it. I would not be shocked to see him get cut and the Dolphins sign some black has been to give them some depth.

Kenyan Drake was assumed by just about everyone to be the Dolphins' starting RB this season going into training camp but he's fallen behind the mediocre Kalen Ballage and he may even be traded, per this blurb today from Weenieworld, which would further solidify Laird's standing with the team. Miami looks to be cleaning house (there are rumors Kiko Alonso may be cut to save money) and may be a truly awful team this season as they obtain the first overall pick in next year's draft. Laird of course is dirt cheap as an undrafted free agent, so this may be the very rare case where it works out for a White RB. But as what happened to Zach Zenner shows yet again, with the NFL always hope for the best but never be surprised when the worst happens.

The Miami Herald's Barry Jackson mentions Kenyan Drake and Kenny Stills as possible trade bait in a potential deal for unsigned Texans franchise player Jadeveon Clowney.
Jackson has both Drake and Stills making the Dolphins' 53-man roster as it stands now, but that could change if Miami and Houston can come to terms on a Clowney deal. Miami has made it known its higher-priced veterans are available in the right deals, and both Drake and Stills fit that category. They also happen to play positions of need for the Texans with Houston losing Lamar Miller to a torn ACL and Keke Coutee (ankle) unlikely to be ready Week 1. Drake would form an interesting tandem with Duke Johnson. And Stills would give Deshaun Watson another reliable threat outside in what looks like a top-heavy receiver group.

I'm cautiously optimistic about Laird's chances to make the roster. Even the DWFs seem to be high on him. However, given what happened to Zenner this year and Nall last year (and perhaps again this year), I don't want to get too confident.

I'm more worried about Alonso. I hope he gets traded rather than cut or staying on the team. With the Dolphins looking like cellar dwellers this season a trade would give Alonso a less toxic environment.

I would like to see Alonso go elsewhere, they have enough white LB depth (for now) to lose him. I do not know what would be the best fit for him though, the Jets maybe? I dont really know!

Anyone have any predictions or hearing rumors about Zenner getting picked up? If healthy I feel he is quite a bit better than Burkhead. Not sure who else would actually use him and there is absolutely no one in the pipeline currently to get excited about after Laird/Nall.

Maybe he gets lucky and some winless team picks him up late in the season. I notice NBA teams do this a lot after they completely suck and are eliminated from playoff contention, they whiten up the team with short to no contract players.

Yes, I’ve never been a fan of this slob “Fat Matt” Patricia, and didn’t trust him one bit to give Zenner a chance and properly utilize him. Like all Belichick disciples who become head coaches, he’s another clown who has embraced the caste ways of the NFL instead of using the Patriots formula on offense. Luckily, the Detroit Lions being an armpit of a franchise, he’ll be out of a job after this season.
