2026 NFL Week 1

McCaffery looks as good as ever…Purdy has some wheels!
Purdy is a great athlete. 49ers developing some good rhythm. Backed up on 2nd down from the six inch line and now down to the 30 - heckuva drive so far!

Doluc continues to be all over the field for the Rams. He and Landman are a good duo. Hope to see Fiske make a play or two.

McCaffrey looked explosive, the lack of carries was disappointing but I can see it being just a strategy to keep him fresh till they really need to lean on him. 49ers were pulling away all game, no reason to run him into the ground week one.

Yes he will probably be a strong handcuff all year for CMAC to save his legs for a playoff run. It could be a similar situation to Dunn and Alstott in Tampa but that was much less free flowing as Alstott was used heavily late as a closer type running back.

Don’t know if it makes sense for CFers to root for Rush to play well for Atlanta or for him to falter and give Strand a shot.

I think Cooper Rush is what he is, for better or worse. A stopgap. So I'll be rooting for the "White friendly" Steeler to walk all over the Falcons and give playing time opportunities to all of their White reserve players. If that gets Strand into the game too, then so be it.

Rush is what he is, a solid back up QB. The Falcons brought him in to be a camp arm due to injury issues with their two first round QBs that can’t stay healthy and frankly in the case of Penix is a bust.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Strand play but perhaps the Falcons have a plan to develop him. If the game gets out of hand it wouldn’t be bad to see Strand get some game action.

It is worth noting McCaffrey had a period of cramping in the game and I would imagine he gets between 15-20 rushing attempts next week. If he can catch another 4-5 passes and have at least one of them be a big gain, he will have a very solid week.

I wonder who made the decision to wait till just a couple days before the game to travel down under? Management or ownership?

Really dumb with the jet lag and all. And is showed in the Rams play.

Like to have been a fly on the wall when the Rams' leadership discussed the outcome.

Apparently they have been sending staffers and trainers to Australia for a year to determine best possible approach and this is what they came up with. Now, on the flip side, Niners have to readjust after such a long stay, luckily they have a long week ahead of them.

The international games are nothing but a money grab. The only thing stronger than the caste system is the greed of Goodell and all the owners.

side note: Derrick Henry continues to be a true power back at 32. Now, how many white RBs could we have had in the same mold in the last decade or two? Just to name a few: Jesse Lumsden, Zander Horvath, Hillis (at least he got half a chance) etc. etc...

Horvath reminds me very much of Henry. Same build, similar speed and strength. I will give Henry this: he has been an absolute stud his entire career from h.s. all the way through his NFL career. One of the best to ever run the ball.

I see a guy like Horvath and Hillis (screwed over and concussions) as similar. Rob Konrad also comes to mind.

Brows continue to be an absolute dumpster fire… it is laughable.

However, I see Mason Graham with a TFL and a sack today already. Good to see.

Steelers have both Wetjen and Heidenreich active. Both have returned a kick so far. Wish they would get involved in the offense. Hate seeing Roman Wilson out there.
