2026 College Football Week 7

At least the Crimson Turds are going to lose against Tennessee and their White freshman QB.

It all exposes what a fraud the SEC is. Just a bunch of inconsistent teams week in/week out. For the 20+ years I have been following college football the whole excuse about the SEC was that it was so tough because the teams just "beat up on each other" every week. The argument leaves out the reality that every team outside of 2 are part of football conferences and the teams in the other conferences "beat up on each other " every week too. All the SEC has been good at is marketing and deluding the thousands of fans at these southern schools that the SEC just "means more". That is of course their marketing motto. In fact the teams are ridiculously inconsistent and it's usually one team in the conference that the fans from the conference rally around - Georgia and Alabama have been the two dominant teams from the conference for the past 15 years. The discrepancy in performances on a weekly basis in the SEC this year should really be causing actual discussion in the mainstream media. Is the SEC really getting the best players? Should it be viewed as the feeder conference as it has been for most of this century? I'd argue no of course.

Glad to see MacIntyre get another victor under his belt for the Volunteers going against a September Heisman winner in Alabama's next great black hype. Hubbard took a nasty blindside block during the game, hopefully he is ok.

Glad to see Lonergan back for Rutgers leading them to a win over Maryland. He's one of my fav QBs for whatever reason. Wish he went somewhere other than Rutgers but the talent is there.

Glad to see Leavitt have a great game and dominate overrated Mississippi State. Hopefully they are out of the top 25 after today.

Agreed. I thought I saw @TwentyTwo mention that Leavitt's hamstring wasn't 100% so he was playing from the pocket more. Hope that is what he does for the rest of the season.

Yes indeed! Video game stat machine lately 25 carries 195 YARDS RUSHING 5 TDs!!!

Charlie Becker ...9 rec 165 YArds
Easton Messer 14 rec 102 yards & TD

Sam Leavitt 31 / 38 ....289 yards 4 TDs...not 100% nursing a hamstring tweak ...so hes running less ; passing more
Hope LB Whit Weeks will be ready in Nov. vs Alabama & Texas

Carson Hansen looks good running the ball ( 8 yard run) vs Michigan early!

Found the post from @TwentyTwo

LSU could run the table. Alabama and Texas are not what the media wants them to be. Arch Manning - what a disappointment there. He certainly flashes ability and makes a few big plays a game. Hard to pin it on him as the afroletes on the team are not as good as the media wants them to be. Sarkasian has also been a poor play caller.

Agree of the SEC mythology. I watched a good amount of the 4th quarter and this Russell guy for Alabama looks especially poor. Hard to believe he’s a starting QB for a “top program”.

Mestemsker with an effortless deep lob on the run to Wyatt Young, 54 yards

Young then draws a PI in the endzone

Connor Weigman TD Pass to Trent Walker !

Oklahoma Freshman Jake Kreul 8 Yard Sack

EDIT...Mestamaker TD PASS to Wyatt Young!

John Mateer nice TD pass to TE Rocky Beers!

Atkinson has 252 yards passing late in the 1st half.
Look at this throw from Atkinson with the pocket collapsing on him. An absolute rocket traveling about 50 yards in the air and hitting his receiver in stride. Not many QBs can make that throw. Braden is only a sophomore so I predict him being one of the top options in the 2028 draft class.

For the opposing Washington State, 6’-3” rs freshman Owen Eshelman made his first career start and threw for 289 yards and ran for 136 more. Hailing from Norman, Oklahoma with ideal size and obvious athleticism, one wonders why he’s not an Oklahoma Sooner right now. Well as the CS would have it, only SDST was interested in him out of HS. When Coach Rogers jumped to Washington State, the commitment from Owen followed. If this guy were black we all can imagine every team in the Big 12 and SEC sharing his geographic territory would have offered.

Oklahoma State couldn't stop Houston on defense, that's really their weak point. Offense kept them in the game but Weigman was just breaking off too many chunk plays.

Ok St - Houston was an entertaining game. Mestemaker is alot of fun to watch, that was a great throw @Freethinker

Trent Walker went over 100 yards too and Wyatt Young was at 99 yards. It was an old fashioned Big 12 shootout.

Weigman has played great all year including tonight - threw for 5 TDs. Should be an ascending player for the NFL draft.

Carr had a good last drive to give them a chance just couldn't deliver the game winning TD. Top 25 rankings will be interesting this week.

Ohio St number 1 after escaping Indiana through sheer luck. Miami number 2 after barely escaping against FSU. BYU number 3?

A real mess.

A lots of SEC teams should be pushed down the rankings - Missisippi State should be out, Florida should remain out, Texas should be out, Alabama out of the top 15. Hopefully the no loss and 1 one loss non-SEC teams are ranked above all 2 loss SEC teams.

I'd imagine Miami will be 1, OSU 2 but they lost their QB. UCLA, TTU, Utah, BYU should all be in the top 10 (no losses). JMU should enter the top 25. Houston should have a big jump as well.

At the half, the Ohio Bobcats have 3 TDs all scored by White RBs. Brune with 2 and Rosa with 1. They are a nice 1-2 punch and Ohio is emerging as one of the better MAC teams.

And speaking of White RBs, I see the Landon Walker was the only effective one for TCU today. 6 carries for 36 yards. Be nice if he has a bigger role going forward.
