It all exposes what a fraud the SEC is. Just a bunch of inconsistent teams week in/week out. For the 20+ years I have been following college football the whole excuse about the SEC was that it was so tough because the teams just "beat up on each other" every week. The argument leaves out the reality that every team outside of 2 are part of football conferences and the teams in the other conferences "beat up on each other " every week too. All the SEC has been good at is marketing and deluding the thousands of fans at these southern schools that the SEC just "means more". That is of course their marketing motto. In fact the teams are ridiculously inconsistent and it's usually one team in the conference that the fans from the conference rally around - Georgia and Alabama have been the two dominant teams from the conference for the past 15 years. The discrepancy in performances on a weekly basis in the SEC this year should really be causing actual discussion in the mainstream media. Is the SEC really getting the best players? Should it be viewed as the feeder conference as it has been for most of this century? I'd argue no of course.
Glad to see MacIntyre get another victor under his belt for the Volunteers going against a September Heisman winner in Alabama's next great black hype. Hubbard took a nasty blindside block during the game, hopefully he is ok.
Glad to see Lonergan back for Rutgers leading them to a win over Maryland. He's one of my fav QBs for whatever reason. Wish he went somewhere other than Rutgers but the talent is there.
