College Football Week 7

The season has passed the halfway point. The media as always has several 1 loss SEC teams in the top 25 to artificially pump the conference up as the toughest while ignoring many 1 loss teams from other conferences and 1 undefeated P5 team (JMU). Trying to get ahead of the Tuesday night games.

Tuesday

Delaware vs Middle Tennessee
- The Blue Hens seem lost after there 2-0 start. Not sure what is going on at QB. Snow patrol LBs - Colin Gallagher, Blake Matthews and Gavin Moul lead the team in tackles. For MTSU QB Roman Gagliano is solid.

FIU vs Jacksonville St - Jax St QB Camden Creel could still hit the 1k rushing mark with some big games down the stretch. S Caleb Nix is the biggest playmaker on defense. Sophomore TE Luke Gilbert might be able to get to 500 yards on the year. For FIU they were not very prolific in the passing game last week. Hopefully the Kohl to Anderson connection makes an appearance. FIU has 7 games left to get Maguire Anderson to 1k receiving yards.

Wednesday

Kennesaw St vs Missouri St
- WR Brayden Munroe for the Owls one to check the box score for.

Western Kentucky vs Sam Houston - If Brock Glenn plays QB for the Hilltoppers it will at least be a White QB matchup with Landyn Locke starting for the Bearkats who also have WR Grady O'Neill and DE Brody Henderson on the squad.

Thursday

ECU vs UAB
- I think QB Emory Williams has secured the starting job for the Pirates. WR Landon Sides looks to have also made a poor choice in transferring to ECU. WR Brock Spalding has been out all season with injury. LBs Crews Law, Jackson Barker, Cade Law and DT Preston Carr make the defense palatable. UAB is heavily black and uninteresting.

Ga Southern vs Old Dominion - Decent matchup. QB Max Johnson has played well, CB Chance Gamble has made plays all season and WR Josh Dallas had a breakout game last week. Hope to see them all play well again this week. ODU ha dual threat Quinn Heinicle, under the radar S Lucas Struck and LB Jackson Forrest to watch out for. I'd say tune in for this one.

Colorado St vs Texas St - The Rams started the season 2-0 but once QB Hauss Hejny went down with a hamstring injury they have struggled. Mora's black quarterbacks have not replaced Hejny's production. WR's Jackson Harper and Tommy Maher have had some limited production this season. For the Bobcats hopefully WR Beau Sparks is back to being healthy and can have a strong 7 game run to conclude the season. QB Brad Jackson is one of the better P5 QBs.

Friday

Memphis vs Tulane
- TE Hunter Tipton as a non-factor last week for Memphis. QB Marcus Stokes continues his comeback his nonsensical scholarship debacle with UF to be one of the more productive and efficient QBs in the county.

Washington vs Purdue - The Boilermakers had a pretty shocking victory against Minnesota last week. QB Ryan Browne was solid in the air and made some plays with his legs leading to the upset. The Purdue defense also showed up. Washington was thoroughly dominated by Iowa last week and would hope for more of the same this week.

Saturday

Ohio St vs Indiana
- The Hoosiers did not play well against the Huskers last week relying on a 4th quarter comeback. The run game was neutralized and Hoover was called upon to make timely throws. Hopefully he looks Becker's way more this week. For Ohio State the Hoosiers should present another challenging defense. Sayin has been great all season and not talked about at all by the national media outside of framing him as a system QB benefitting from Jeremiah Smith. We all know why.

Florida vs Texas - Florida is one of the worst defenses in the SEC and their embarrassing lost last week proved that once again. The Philo to Stockton connection is good though. For the Longhorns Manning will need to have a big game against a bad defense which I hope he does.

Mississippi St vs LSU - The Tigers defense isn't great either. Leavitt played well last week and is hopefully getting back to his 2024 form.

Virginia vs SMU - Going for the Cavaliers here - Pribula, Camac and Minter.

Northwestern vs Michigan St - The Fitzgerald bowl as MSU coach Pat Fitzgerald coaches against his former team (both as a coach and player). On the other side his son DB Robert Fitzgerald has developed into a solid DB with playmaking ability and leads the team in tackles and INTs. WR Griffin Wilde is having a good year for the Wildcats. The pundits are trying to hype up the Wildcats magical QB, don't buy into it - it's the system.

Pitt vs Boston College - Narduzzi's stupid antics two weeks ago after the win against Va Tech came back last week as the Panthers fell to UNC. Rooting for BC to pull off the improbable upset this week.

FAU vs Army - Army QB Cale Hellums had a great week rushing the ball against Tulane, hope that momentum is carried into the matchup with the Owls. For FAU Caden Veltkamp and WR Easton Messer need to get their connection back on track.

Rutgers vs Maryland - I have a little too much interest in this game. Would like to see Lonergan have a big game for Rutgers and Mikey Munn get an INT.

Auburn vs Georgia - This feels like a sure thing. Auburn has been exposed as a fraud. Stockton continues to play at a high level and as the QB of the #1 team in the nation he does not receive much notoriety.

Alabama vs Tennessee - QB George MacIntyre delivers a win in his first start and the fat slob Heupel won't commit to a started against Alabama. If it's the black quarterback then I hope Hubbard and Metz have huge games.

Arizona St vs Texas Tech - The Red Raiders much like last year have found their success due to the defensive play. Their trio of LBs is the best in group in the country. Young QB Will Hammond has been up and down this year and WR Coy Eakin should get more involved in the passing game. For the Sun Devils it will be interesting to see how QB Cutter Boley plays against one of the better defenses in the country.

Ga Tech vs Va Tech - The Yellow Jackets upset Duke last week, QB Alberto Mendoza had a solid performance in the victory. The Hokies are now riding a 2 game losing streak. QB Ethan Frankenheimer is playing well as is TE Luke Reynolds. On Defense DE Aycen Stevens has been a good player on the Hokies d-line. Hokies fans are getting the James Franklin experience.

UNC vs Duke - A decent game with Whites featured for both teams on each side of the ball.

Penn St vs Michigan - PSU has been a big disappointment here at CF. There schedule including this game is winnable so it would be nice to see them run the table. Becht was good last week against USC, not sure what happened to the run game as Hansen managed a paltry 2 YPC and only 28 total yards. Rooting for PSU to come into Ann Arbor and defeat the Wolverines hopefully paving the way for Tommy Carr to replace the NIL bum.

UNLV vs Air Force - Last week with Liam Szarka out for the year replacement QB Evan Medders and RB Owen Allen both ran for over one hundred yards. The Falcons have a White friendly defense as well including DB Max Mustell who has 2 sacks on the season. For the Rebels Jackson Arnold has managed to make plays in the air and on the ground. Jake Pope should rack up double digit tackles playing against the Air Force triple option offense.

Washington St vs Oregon State - The remaining two original PAC 12 teams matchup here. Oregon State's offense has been prolific. QB Braden Atkinson leads the nation in passing but is getting zero publicity at the national level. Would be nice to see Kirby Voorhees get double digit carries in this game but I don't think Wazzu will be able to match the Beavers offense.

Arkansas vs Vanderbilt - Commodores QB Jared Curtis is taking his lumps this year, hopefully it will pay off down the stretch and over the next few seasons.

TCU vs Baylor - Two teams with QBs I could care less about. Baylor has Gavin Freeman and Dawson Pendergrass while TCU WR Ed Small has emerged as a quality receiver.

Notre Dame vs BYU - This should be a good game and Notre Dame's biggest challenge to date. Carr has been very good and again is under the radar for the obvious reason. The BYU defense should be able to slow the Irish run game so I hope to see Carr have a big performance. BYU will be challenged as the Irish defense is by far the best they have faced.

Wisconsin vs UCLA - The Bruins lost their mediocre star poly QB giving way to a Ty Diffienbach getting the start. For the Badgers QB Colton Joseph has been good enough so far as they are a surprising 4-1. I'd expect a run heavy game on both sides. Jung, Catalano and Posa should once again occupy the top three tackler spots for Wisconsin while the Bruins should get contributions from Edge Scott Taylor, DL Aiden Gobaira and LB Anthony Sacca.

Kentucky vs Oklahoma - The Sooners pulled off the big time upset last week against the #1 Longhorns. Mateer played mistake free football but the Sooners continue to use him as part of the running game. The Sooners running game is nearly non-existent. Oklahoma's defense has been solid outside of the UGA blowout and should give Kentucky all it could handle. Zero to root for on the Wildcats.

Oklahoma St vs Houston - The most anticipated game of the week from a CF perspective. Mestemaker has emerged as the White outlier at the QB position worthy of mainstream media praise due to his gunslinger style of play. Wyatt Young has had a few quiet games so hopefully he gets back on track. LBs Ethan Wesloski and Tate Romney have been White tackling machines for the Cowboys as well. For the Cougars QB Connor Weigman has been great - a 15/1 TD:INT Ratio along with 6 rushing TDs. WR Trent Walker has gotten a little more involved these past few weeks so hopegully this game is a high scoring shootout and Walker sees some targets. TE Patrick Overmyer has emerged as the best TE in the country to this point with 400 yards receiving and 6 TDs.

Louisville vs Syracuse - QB Lincoln Kienholz has been great this year. For Syracuse their dope head coach is cycling through QBs after benching Angeli. They had former 5 star black quarterback bust starting last week. Hope the Orange lose every remaining game this season.

La Tech vs UL Monroe - The Bulldogs are one of my top 5 group of 5 teams this year. QB Blake Baker returned to the starting lineup last week and threw for over 300 yards and 3 TD along with a rushing TD. RB Andrew Burnette is a big RB and hopefully gets alot more carries the second half of the season while TE Eli Finley is a top 10 TE in the country.

San Jose St vs UTEP - Spartans QB Luke Weaver has not targeted WR Cooper Hoch as much as he should lately, hopefully Hoch gets back on track this week against a bad UTEP team. LB Dylan Lee should hit 100 tackles this season if he stays healthy.

Wake Forest vs Cal - The Demon Deacons would be a very good team to root for if not for their manlet QB. WR Jack Foley has emerged as a big play target. LB Vincent Firenze paces the team in tackles and DT Zach Lohavichan has been a stout presence in the middle of the defense. If Cal starts QB Jackson Brosseau it would be nice to see an upset here.

Nebraska vs Oregon - Very late night Big Ten game. The wheels have come off for the Ducks but DB Koi Perich has played very well. QB remains a question mark for Oregon in this game, wouldn't mind seeing third string QB Brock Thomas get the start. For Nebraska QB Anthony Colandrea has been great, a huge step up from Mahomes Jr. who currently has a NIL deal with Oregon and was awful last week against UCLA.
