Although there's no TNF this week, thought I would get this started since I'm super busy this weekend with my son's Eagle Scout Project and all. Not a whole lot to watch as far as actual games go. Pretty much everything is already set for the playoffs, only the Broncos, Dolphins, Bengals, Buccaneers and Falcons are playing to make it. The rest are either done or will be resting starters. Some teams like the Chargers, Steelers and Ravens are playing for seeding.

I'm hoping that some of our white players on their caste apprenticeships will get action. Notable players like Will Shipley. Would also like to see Alex Pierce get a lot of targets. Even some less glamorous positions like DL, LB and OL may see more bench whiteys playing. For instance the Chiefs have T Ethan Driskell out of Marshall who I would love to see at RT for this game in place of lard-ass penalty-magnet Jawaan Taylor. Wouldn't that be something to see an NFL team starting TWO short-armers at the tackle positions?

So which team, Broncos or Bengals, do fellow CF posters wish to see in the playoffs? NFC is easy as no one here wants to watch Michael Penix play any more this year.

I'd like to see Carson Steele actually get a chance to play running back for the Chiefs this week.

Also seeing Bailey Zappe get the start for the Browns over the atrocious Dorian Thompson-Robinson would be nice.

As for the Broncos/Bengals it's a push. Burrow is the best QB in the league and if the Bengals get in they have a chance to go on a run. Seeing the Crawfords lose another game to end the season would be great as well. Bo Nix has done alot of great things this year and quieted the usual suspects that mocked and derided the Broncos selection of him at number 12 overall. The Broncos are more White friendly as well.

I hope the Bengals win to knock the Steelers down so they face Baltimore. I also want the Broncos to win so they make the playoffs as they have the overall “Whitest team” this year and I want them to be rewarded for that. Also would be good experience for Bo Nix to get a playoff game under his belt for next year (I don’t think they will win on the road in Buffalo).

My week 18 bold and optimistic prediction: Steele and Shipley each get around twenty attempts and go over 100 yards.

Theilen with another 100 yard game and Kupp with a monster game (150+) to finish the season!

Will Shipley (concussion) was a full participant in Thursday’s practice.
Shipley was upgrade to a full participant after getting a limited session in Wednesday. The rookie tailback will likely be able to play in Week 18 against the Giants, and with Saquon Barkley sitting out, he could be in for a healthy amount of carries in the season finale.

Also read Bailey Zappe will start on Saturday.

One matchup that went unmentioned is the one with some major playoff implications and also probably the most watchable game of the entire weekend. Minnesota at Detroit should be awesome. Two slow, plodding QB's of yesteryear inexplicably leading their teams to records of 14-2 and shockingly putting up fantastic numbers also. Just think how good these teams could be if they had Milroe and Ward at the controls ;):afro:

lol! You can guarantee that there’s more than a few dwf’s that would be for taking one of those guys over the two drop back passers.

Wonder what the emoji would look like that showed a DWF getting a pat on the head for being a good boy?

That’s what I’ve been wandering. Good to hear. Hopefully, Gainwell doesn’t get the majority and just Remains a third down guy. I want Denver to get in. Nix needs momentum going into next year with the pathetic critics and I want to see more of Riley Moss..

The Broncos have no excuse if they lose. The Chiefs are playing pretty much 100% backups. That said, I'm really looking forward to seeing Carson Wentz and Carson Steele in the backfield. Also hoping to see lots of Ethan Driskell at RT. Bolton and Tranquil will be sitting, so we'll get to see lots of Leo Chenal and they will probably elevate LB's Swayze Bozeman and Cole Christianson from the PS.

wait, does Steele get to start??
According to Steele, he was told he'll receive "extra work" on Sunday against Denver. Whatever that means? He's fourth on the depth chart. I doubt he starts. Hopefully I'm wrong.

The Ravens are going to win and seal up the NFCN, so the only real implications of this game are on the MVP race. With Josh Allen in the pole position, Lamar has not done enough so far to change anyone's mind, posting a sub 50% completion percentage in the first half. Polymarket current has Allen at 77% odds to win the award.

This game is sooooo boring. As expected, Cleveland sucks, Baltimore doesn't look great but have 3 TD's. The unbelievable over-the-top slobbering by the announcers over Lamar Jackson is nauseating. Mark Andrews is 4/54 with a TD.

In other news, the Chiefs got to sit on the tarmac in the plane for over four hours as the airport was closed due to ice. It's like Duh, we've known this forecast all week. We hustled to get my son's eagle project done before the weather hit.

Very little difference between the two teams other than at QB. Trey Hendricksen is the last overachiever standing on the Cincy defense as Logan Wilson is on IR and Sam Hubbard is injured again and was ineffective all season when he wasn't, to the point that he was playing backup snaps before his latest injury. The Bengals have no White WRs other than perpetually injured WSTD Charlie Jones. And other than their White TEs, there's no young White talent to bring along, and even there Gesicki is getting up there in years.

The Steelers have two White rookies starting on the o-line, rookie LB Payton Wilson is seeing significant snaps, same with Nick Herbig. And T. J. Watt of course. Pitt may well be the "whiter" of the two teams by next season. And if Wilson craps the bed again in this one and if they go one and done again in the playoffs he may well be gone next season.

Preseason standout WR Kaden Davis playing for the Browns today
At least he logged some stats, in the worst case scenario that this is his only NFL game. 3 kick returns for 107 yards. A very good 35.7 yard average.

Trey Hendrickson with his 15th sack after Burrow had a great TD drive.
That might clinch the sack title for this season. At 15 he moves ahead of Garrett who was shutout of the sack column earlier. Now he’s 3 ahead of Hunter of Houston. If he can grab another in the 2nd, he should really have it in the bag.

Also, watching Russell Wilson he’s really become an extreme game manager. And not a very good one of late. 45 passing yards is paltry, even by the standards set this year by some of our upsider QBs.

Joe Burrow with 254 yards passing so far to Russell Wilson's 51. Unless he engineers an unlikely comeback Wilson has likely started his last regular season game for the Steelers.

If the Bengals keep playing their prevent defense, which as always prevents nothing, instead of playing aggressively the way they did for the first three quarters, they may yet manage to lose this game.

It really is humorous how the Steelers manage to always draft a malcontent moron at WR. They are all the same.

Payton Wilson leads both teams with 8 solo tackles, 9 total. Trey Hendrickson with 2.5 sacks. Once again the few White players "allowed" to play on defense lead the way.
