Samuele Ceccaralli has a new PB of 10.13 for 5th, Browning 6th in 10.15

Considering that Ceccarelli was in lane 9 and Browning in lane 1 and the off weather those
are both good times. Browning looked a little gassed over the last 20 or 30 meters i.m.o.

I predicted a time of 10.15 for Ceccarelli so the fact he went a little faster out of lane 9 is outstanding!
He smashed his personal best as we all knew he would. Wish he had a better lane as well as Browning.

Femke Bol sets a New Rome Diamond League Meet Record and a new world lead today. She won the 400 meter hurdles
in a blazing time of 52.43 to win by almost 1 full second over the next closest sprinter. She is incredible. :)

Sadly in the mens 200 meters Filippo Tortu looked average finishing in 4th place running a pedestrian time of 20.41 The kid
might need a new coach. At 24 years of age he is running like an old sprinter with nothing left in the tank. Sad to watch.
a video with perspective regarding Bol’s impressive showing:

watching the field closely, I'm pleased with both Ceccarelli and Browning's runs. Browning has run within 2/10ths of the best (Kerley) 3 or 4 times now this year. He's now beaten Blake 4 times in a row. And Ceccarelli with a PB was great - no-one else was near their PB so it points to Cecc's huge improvements as WL predicted for this season.
They were both 1/2m or so from 3rd placed Brommel and Simbini and only Kerley went sub 10. The four in front of them would always be in a major final so they aren't far off competing at that level.
Let the season roll on and here's hoping both stay healthy

I agree - good runs by both Browning and Ceccarelli.
Browning has been very consistent.
Ceccarelli looked very good to me. Considering it's his first, big 100m race, and his first 100m of the season, I expect him to get better.

I just looked at that race again slowly - I'm not sure Browning was gassed. He actually fought past Blake in those last 30m - I suppose Blake could have been more gassed though LOL

This is awesome. Makes me wish I lived in Tennessee. This sounds like a fun track meet and you can't beat a good
southern or midwest country girl. :)

Ok I got a little side tracked there guys. Lol. I'm excited to see what types of times we might see from all of these three.
Coby Hilton needs to get a time of around 10.10 not at altitude someday to give him the confidence to keep on sprinting
and chasing his dream. It's so hard without sponsors and funding. This is why I think more of our sprinters on the verge of
something special should consider changing countries and running in Europe if it doesn't work out here. America and Jamaica
have to be 2 of the hardest countries to make an Olympics or World Champs. South Africa is getting to be that way too.

Another thing about both of these guys but I will focus on Samuel Ceccarelli for this post. The weather wasn't that warm, a wet
track, lane 9 and no wind. The wind gauge read 0. So Ceccerelli even with the nerves in his first Diamond League Race ever in front
of the home crowd had everything going against him. Yet the man shined bright like the light! He was amazing today to be honest.

I know it's very early in the season but his time is the 3rd fastest in all of Europe at the moment! :Saeufer:

This is sad and very disappointing. I agree, it's time for him to get a new coach. I believe he is coached by his father.

if Cunliffe runs faster than 11.40 I'll be absolutely shocked......she has the talent to go much faster as we all know just her voyage to the "Dark" side, trying to be an instagram model and trying to get her own sports clothing line going has derailed her career.... I cannot imagine how her parents must feel...

Robin Ganter and Oliver Bromby, both ran 10.21 in Germany with -0.1w.
Ganter ran 10.19 in the heats, and Bromby ran 10.22.

Coby Hilton 10.36 in the heats, doesn't move on to the finals.
Also Marybeth Price Sant and Hannah Cunliffe failed to qualify for the finals, running11.48 and 11.65 in the heats respectively.

Rather disappointing performances from all of them.
Btw, Hannah Cunliffe is listed as representing Italy.

LIke Charlie Dobson and others, Coby Hilton doesn't race enough. If you want to refine your skill you have to race against the big boys.
Practice, plyometrics, weighlifting, etc, etc, don't replace race days. AT his age time is off the utmost importance. I hate to say this guys
but unless Hilton moves to Europe I think this may be his last year of sprinting. Just like with Zach Jewell and Devin Quinn. Again other
than a move to Europe it's not looking good and I root for all of these kids. If only he had sponsors.

Matthew Boling got lucky with the NIL Deals in College now. The money is amazing with many kids making hundreds of thousands of
dollars up to millions while in college. That will take all the pressure off for the few those athletes that sign those deals. So it may be
easier going forward but it's not gonna help a guy like Coby Hilton. My advice is to go run for Ireland, Poland, Austalia, etc. etc.

Hannah Cunliffe is probably a millionaire with her looks and endorsemnts but oh with her talent to think what could have been? It was
smart for her to represent Italy. First I've heard of that. I'm shocked Mary Beth Sant Price ran so slow. She usually is in the thick of the pack.

Not bad. Great consistancy as they both ran similar times recently. Hopefully as we get later in the summer and they get in their
peak condition they can bring those times down to 10.10 or so. If they had a good legal tailwind today they could have been
times of around 10.15 or a little faster. I like to see sprinters who can run these times with or without wind. That is true speed!

Another european sprinter that flys under the radar is Adam Clayton. 22 year old Adam is from Scotland but runs here in
the U.S. for Texas Tech now as a graduate student. His personal best times are 10.27 and 20..49 so far. He did run a time
of 10.08 but it was windy. Not sure if he will continue to run track after college but if he does Scotland has a talented
sprinter here that could go faster if he turned pro. Clayton has been so buy with school I think he has alot of upide possibly.

A good time of 10.21 into a -1.4w for Dominik Kopek of Poland.
He was a clear winner over Rohan Browning, who clocked 10.32.

According to his FB page, Tortu is happy with his 20.41 time, which I find strange.
Perhaps there has been something going with him that we were not aware of...?

Yes many sprinters get too muscled up and it actually slows them down. Some muscle is good but there is a happy medium or middle
point of no return. I think of Harry Aikenes Aiighty of England looks like a Professional Body Builder yet never went sub 10 in his very long
career. Lemaitre was faster as a raw skinny teenager. Tortu was also alot faster when he was more slender with alot less muscle.

It could also be that Filippo Tortu has fallen in love with the nightclub life which destroys many guys careers. Late nights partying till the
sun comes up getting your drink on and chasing girls. Lack of proper sleep, nutrition and a normal schedule will derail any career. No one
knows for sure except for him but it's so sad. He is only 1 year older than Samuel Ceccarelli so Tortu should have a good career ahead of him
if he can turn things around.

Samuel Ceccarelli proves you don't have to be very muscular to be very, very fast!

Just to show you how good shape Henrik Larsson of Sweden is in he ran a 20.44 +0.8 several days ago! Larsson rarely
runs 200 meters so for him to smash his outdoor personal best is a very good sign. Expect some fast races over the 100 meters
in the next few months. I predict at the bare minimum he goes sub 10.10 before the summer ends!

You can see by his form that he doesn't run these distances much. He is in the middle of the lane on the curve costing him alot of
valueable time. With better form hugging the inside line of his lane and he runs in the mid to high 20.30's range.

great run by Kopek. PB from last year is 10.20 (+0.5). This 10.21 (-1.4) is a clear metre better run.
Looks like a tired old backup run for Browning

As expected Samuele Ceccarelli smashed his 100m PB · @GoldenGalaDL. , from 10.45 to 10.13 ! Interestingly, his 60m split time was 6.58! Trust Me you guys haven't seen anything yet!
