2023 NFL Week Two

Looking forward to what McCaffrey and the 9ers do for an encore. Rams without Kupp are odious. McVay has completely ignored Skorwenek.

Mark Andrews and Joey Bosa are playing after being questionable all week.

Notable outs: Cooper Kupp, Troy Andersen (concussion).

Jakobi Meyers is out for the Raiders after being their go-to guy last week along with Davante Adams. Hunter Renfrow is the obvious replacement after being an afterthought last week. If McDaniels doesn't use Renfrow heavily today then it's obvious he's going to be screwed all season, ala the number he did on Peyton Hillis in 2009. Even the media is expecting Renfrow to be used today. Here's just three examples:

Would be pathetic if he has another lightly used day. If he can get on the field, I hope Jimmy G goes to him frequently as he has some track record of doing so with the Patriots years ago.

McDaniels is an interesting case. He is the guy who drafted a true white duel-threat (Tebow) and had success in NE on the backs of a variety of white running backs and receivers… and yet he shunned Hillis and now Renfrow.

With Zack Moss back from injury, with Jake Funk getting any reps? Deon Jackson was awful in week 1. Would be nice to see Funk as the 3rd down back....

Regarding Troy Anderson missing the start, it appears Nate Landman has stepped in. Already involved in a tackle behind the line of scrimmage. Would anyone be surprised if he shows out today as another WTM?

In the battle of magical upsiders, Richardson is clearly winning. He actually looks like a competent player so far and I'm sure the Colts coaching and system helps. On the other hand, as I wrote in the Texans team writeup, the sumo line will make it hard on Stroud all year. He's already been fumbled on a sack, giving the Colts offense a short score.

The Colts really need to get Pierce more involved today.

Not great so far in the uk coverage game Chiefs Jaguars. Both offenses not great at all early. Chenal and Karloftis involved early on on D for the Chiefs and Watson targeted already by Mahommes. Kelce out there alot but nothing major from him thus far.

Would like to see the Chiefs win for me. Other than Lawrence they have nothing in terms of white playmakers.

Spillane with 5 tackles and a sack already in 1 quarter of work. Looks like a good more for him escaping Pittsburgh.

Oh my god awful play in the Chiefs game, muffed catch leads to field position at the Chiefs 15 for the Jags. Should of had Watson back there on punt returns....but I guess his importance as reciever meant they weren't using him there....

Josh Allen to Dawson Knox for the TD. Allen dinking and dunking today for an 11 for 11 stat line…..

Tranquil out there as well early with a good tackle.
KC punt return athlete has the punt bounce off his shoulder pads. He had lost his job in NY last season because he couldn't pick up the ball. No white player would be given a second chance.
Right Tranquil out there early making plays. He should be a starter. That would be 3 white defensive starters if he did start. Anyone know off hand how many teams have 3 white defensive starters?

Baker Mayfield looking very good so far against the Black Bears defense (Sanborn has been phased out).
