I tell you what, it sucks seeing big holes open up for the backup running backs when McCaffrey dealt with a wall of defenders and his offensive linemen on skates when he was in. He averaged less than 3 ypc and all the black backups are over 6 ypc…

Edit: a couple stuffs and the 3rd string running back is under 4 ypc.

Hoping for a huge rebound game for CMC against the Browns next week.

The Cowboys were stacked for CMac which enabled others to get free and the 49ers won big.

Another hat trick in the game: 3 INTs for Prescott too. At least that should overtake the target on Mac Jones back for all the talking heads. Prescott has been in a great situation his whole career and continues to show himself to disappear in big games and moments.
Dak upside!

I understand that and Dallas was not going to let McCaffrey beat them. Poor strategy in their part because they got killed.

I’m predicting a big game from him next week against the Browns.

Zach VanValkenburg had his first career sack yesterday to go with a number of tackles as well. Hope the Rams keep giving him increased playing time.

Rooting for the Rams to continue being competitive this season. Lots of White talent on that team. Stafford looks back to his old self. I’d take Kupp, Higbee and Nacua over most other offensive trios in the league and Nacua’s emergence should open up more opportunities for Kupp.

As far as the Bills maybe Baylen Spector will get bumped up into Milano’s spot.

Not sure what is a worse on field product - Thursday night football or the international games.

The "most athletic quarterback of all time" is turning out instead to be the most injury prone one:

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Anthony Richardson was initially diagnosed with a Grade 3 AC joint sprain and could miss “a month or more.”
We’re still waiting for an MRI to confirm the exact nature of Richardson’s injury, but it sounds like he’ll be out for at least the next several weeks, which could put a stint on IR in play. Richardson exited in the second quarter of Sunday’s win over the Titans and did not return, as Gardner Minshew came on to close out the second half. Minshew, who led the Colts to a Week 3 win over the Ravens earlier this season, will start in Week 6 against the Jaguars and beyond.

Great news for Colts fans. I'll give Richardson credit for being a slightly better passer than I expected, which isn't saying much. But Minshew is the better option right now, regardless of injury status, and probably always will be. He's appeared in all 3 Colts wins, while Richardson has only played 2 complete games and lost both. The Colts are a playoff dark horse as long as Richardson stays on the bench. I have to wonder if the egomaniac running this franchise will bench Minshew if they are still in contention when Richardson gets back.

Besides the return of Cooper Kupp, a big positive was that Joe Burrow finally got untracked. Maybe his calf is finally healing as he went off for 36 of 46 for 317 yards and 3 TD passes.

For the past few years it seems that the sky is always falling around the Bengals to start the season and then they go on a tear. Burrow's mobility looked great yesterday and he finally seems to be rounding into form. Seeing Irwin get involved was also a welcome sign.

Found this little disparaging remark around Purdy's athleticism from boomer cuck Peter King himself:

"And there’s one other thing about the beatdown of the Cowboys. Shanahan and Purdy told me this wasn’t by design, but NextGen Stats late Sunday night reported that Purdy became the first quarterback in the eight-year history of NextGen to have thrown four touchdown passes outside the pocket in one game. The inference is interesting. Purdy’s not Mr. Mobile. But he had the football sense to move when he had to, and to make plays while moving. Two of his TD throws were made on the move. “They were definitely not by design. But you’re just playing football, and you feel the push, and you go, and you just make the play,” Purdy said."

When watching the Texas - Oklahoma game with the boomer beta Fowler and cuck king Herbie as the announcers one of them used the term "tactical mobility" to describe Ewers running ability. Can't make this **** up!

The Ravens' receivers had 7 drops yesterday, 3 of which would have been touchdowns. One of them is apparently being credited to Mark Andrews, but I was watching the game and Jackson drilled a fastball to him that Andrews jumped for but couldn't come down with. I don't know what the official definition of a drop is, or if there even is one, but to my eyes that was more on Jackson than Andrews. The other six drops were clear-cut ones by the Ravens' always over-rated and underachieving WRs. Baltimore had a great opportunity to put the game out of reach in the first half, just like the 49ers and Texans did to the Steelers, but their "WGAs" at the wide receiver position were the biggest factor in the Steelers somehow winning the game despite again having close to zero offense.

But Odell Beckham didn't have any drops. The china doll had missed the past few games with an ankle injury and promptly came down with another leg injury early in the game. Reminds me of Jamal Adams' "triumphant return" during Seattle's last game while coming back from a slew of injuries and he immediately became concussed after making a terrible-form tackle.

Purdy is an enigma for these folks. Watching him play doesn't shake their image of what he is. He's a 7th round white QB that isn't particularly tall or big. Based on that, in their minds he has to be a bottom-tier, immobile back-up QB at best. Game after game, he comes out with smart decisions, outstanding athleticism and slings the ball all over the yard, yet their image is set.

The most important skill in playing any sport, except for sprinting, is the ability to quickly open and close feedback loops ie to perceive and react fast. Purdy possesses that in spades so while these DWF can’t understand how this “unathletic white guy” is playing so well they are asking the wrong question- They should start asking how can quarterbacks who don’t possess the ability to quickly process their environment and make quick efficient decisions play a single snap in the nfl. Maybe then they’ll be on their way to having the scales fall from their eyes

He has been hurt in every game he has played… seems pretty soft for such an athletic and superhuman player as the scouts all waxed about.

A total inverse of the prevailing, msm-driven narrative is needed. In sports and society writ large.

The way Purdy moves in and out of the pocket is just flawless. No wasted movement yet he knows how to feel pressure and to escape
the rush and quickly processes through his 1st, 2nd and many times even 3rd or 4th option. He mental processing along with his Dan Marino
like quick relase it amazing to watch. Brock Purdy reminds me a little of Joe Montana back in the day. Not saying he will be as good but the
kid is special. Just like with Tom Brady who was also taken in the 7th round. The nfl scouts are idiots most of the time just like the media!

Purdy appears to have elite short area quickness. That is a superior athletic trait.

Brock Purdy is currently 8th in the NFL in Passing Yards. Not too shabby for a 7th Round Pick. I predict he will be in the top 5 this year!

To put into perspective Purdy has 1271 yards while Mahomes has 1287. So yeah the kid is great no matter how the media trys to lie.

Excellent point. However the nfl dropping the wonderlic test no doubt is to help to cover up the glaring stupidity of many of its players.

Having objective ways of measuring performance and intelligence certainly runs counter the narrative.

And on another note, regardless of whether he not he gets hurt a lot, I think Richardson will be a bust. He wasn’t impressive in college, not sure what would change in the nfl.

I've seen Hunter Renfrow on the field for the Raiders for exactly one play so far in this snoozefest.

Man, can't Hunter get traded to a team that needs his skill? He is one of the best at what he does.

These commercials with hall of fame athletes acting like complete idiots are embarrassing.
