I'm proud of Matthew Boling. You could tell his legs were not there all week. He looked tired and tight but yet he was the 2nd fastest man in the NCAA over 200 meters. Not the champion but a very gutsy perfomance by him.

You have to wonder if he will try to compete for the US Championships to try and make the World Championship? At this point it's probably 50/50. It's a shame he peaked too early but he still accomplished so much this year. He
is a sub 10 and sub 20 sprinter all at the age of 21. His birthday is June 22nd so not too many guys have had this much success this early in their careers. Good job Matthew!

When you are 21, you can recover pretty quickly. I don't think he is done yet for this season. :pesas:

Great news about Zoe Hobbs Just like with Browning inspiring young boys Zoe Hobbs will do the same thing with young girls. It is getting closer to the glory days of Australia and New Zealands past with sprinting. Yes they are not quite
there yet but it's the best I've seen in decades. The amount of young male & female sprinters in both countries is incredible. I hope it's like a snowball and it continues to get bigger and bigger! Congrats to Zoe Hobbs. Amazing opener!

In Germany today Gina Lukenkemper and a new seasons best of 11.04 with 0 wind! Remember that she was a sub 11 sprinter before she gave up track for a couple of years! So good to see her back. What an amazing talent and she is now qualified
to go to the 2022 World Championships in Eugene, Oregon! Way to go Gina! :campeon: She ran 11.07 wind legal in the prelims so she is ready to run rounds!

Kevin Kranz also ran 10.20 to win the mens 100 meters finals. He ran 10.22 in the prelims. He has been consistant so far running 10.18 just two weeks ago. I think he is going to dip down to around 10.10 in his next race or two!

Julian Wagner ran 10.12 (1.5w) again, this time in Geneva, Switzerland.

Henry Frayne of Australia jumped 8.10 at the same meet.

Germany also won the 4 x 100 Relay there with both Julian Wagner and Marvin Schulte on the Squad. They would be faster if they had Kevin Kranz instead of Schulte but he raced yesterday in Germany. I was hoping
for a faster time from Julian Wagner. His start and drive phase was not as good as 2 weeks ago where he ran the same time with 0 wind all by himself as the 2nd place guy was in the 10.40's. So despite the same time, it
was not as good as two weeks ago. Never the less I stand by my predicition that he dips under 10 seconds wind legal this summer!

Devon Allen with the 3rd fastest 110 hurdles race in track & field history! Wow I knew was capable of a high 12.90's but no one saw this coming! He destroyed Holloway who is the worlds best hurdler! :)

Devon Allen to me is white. He has caucasion hair, green eyes and white skin. People are crazy to go further than that.

Browning runs the 100 this Thursday in the Oslo Diamond League. Hopefully, he has had some good training.

This just could be the day if the conditions are right. It all depends if he is in top shape first off. Second is how rusty is he? Browning hasn't raced but 2 times all year as he skipped indoors. So I would put his chances
at his first wind legal sub 10 at 50/50 at best for Olso. Somehow though I have a feeling that this could be the day. Remember I predicted back in February that Boling, Browning and Wagner would all go sub 10 this year. If
Rohan does it I will only have Wagner left to be called the Nostradamus of Track & Field. :)

Frederico Curvelo of Portugal ran a new p.b. of 10.18 wind legal a few days ago. He is only 24 years old so maybe another new name to keep an eye on. Can't think of any famous sprinters from Portugal but it's good to see.
Good luck to this young man the rest of this summer and in his sprinting career.

Portugal had Abrantes a good decade ago, he was more of a 200m specialist who dabbled in the 100m at the European level. Portugal tends to buy foreign talent with salaries and the athletes compete for track clubs, recently they had an Afro-Cuban triple jumper and an Afro-Latino triple jumper who won medals at the word level.

I hate it when countries import talent just to be more competitive. What does that tell your people? That you don't belive in them.

In Europe it seems like only Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Czech Rep., Slovenia and Hungary don't do this. It also has to do with the mass migration that is flooding all of the western nations.

20 yr old Max Burgin of Britain, ran a world leading 1:43.52 800m in Finland today.
Max has been an 800m prodigy for a few years now, but injuries have shorten all his recent seasons.
If he can stay healthy, he is a potential Olympic and World Champion.
