110 Hurdles Performances in history considering everything he overcame. When all is said and done he will be a better hurdler than Devon Allen and countless others in the US and around the world. Who

Femke Bol obliterated the WR in the 300m hurdles today, running a 36.86.
The previous record was 38.16.
Of course this is a non-standard event, and so not run very often.
Still it bodes well for Bol this season in the 400m hurdles.

The women's 400 record could be in jeopardy. I recall in Tokyo at the 300 meter mark she was a shade back of the two Americans but if she has this form in Oregon she could be ahead and they would be chasing her and possibly panicking and losing form.

I'm hoping for higher expectations. I want them both to win the gold and to see two new world 400 meters hurdles records. At the very least for Warholm to defend his title and keep the w.r. time. Then for Femke Bol to become world champion!
She is very young so if not this year I can see it happen within 2 years at the most barring a serious injury.

Juian Wagner opens up his season with a win running a time of 10.12 +0.1 wind.

"I'm a bit speechless," he said after the race. "Last week in Dessau I made a few mistakes. I'm all the more pleased that things are going so well now." The Return of the King Karsten Warholm. After skipping the indoor season, Warholm is ready to see if he can improve after winning olymic gold and setting the world record.

The 16 year old Serbian High Jumper Angelina Topic tied an All Time Age High Jump Record today.

Jenna Prandini ran an incredible 10.75 (4.3w) today in Florida. That coverts to a 10.93 without the wind. Amazing time!
She finished 2nd to ShaChira Richardson by just 2/100s of a second, which is also amazing. Prandini has always been competitive in the 100m, but better at the 200m race. But in this race she was stride for stride with SCR to the finish.
I thought Prandini's best days were behind her, and even thought she might retire. But I was wrong! We can still expect great great things from Jenna. ☺

Sam blaskowski. D3 ....wis.la crosse ....100 meter champ 10.4......and this kid is freshman ... massive upside ...also has a windy 10.14 ......only started sprinting as a high school snr......

Another athlete of real ability in d3 ..is Dallas Wright of Warburg ......won the 400hurdles in 51.3 ......the point being ...only an hour earlier he had won bronze in the 400 flat ...high 46s .....this young man has some serious potential as a pro in either events ...with that kind of speed strength stamina ....

Very probably blaskowski will transfer in the next year or 2 ...as he is just scratching his natural talent ...
The definition of a sleeper ...makes one really wonder what scouts actually look at or see .....but then again anyone on these pages know what they see first ...and that’s colour ..

No ....don’t sleep on the Brit Charlie Dobson ....recent 200 in 20.19 ..Tom Jones invitational ....where his true distance lays we will see ...my own personal belief is that he is a 200 meter prototype( think guliyev ) ...who is just beginning to get the coaching his talent deserves ...Dobson can be a 9.9 100 guy ...but I think he can be a 19.6 or 19.7. ....200 meter athlete ...his top end is phenomenal ..

Also very impressed with the ncaa d2 national champs ........Brandon Miller grand valley state. Won the 200 m in 20.20 ...and in the women’s , ms bellfield from west Texas a/m ....won the 200m after finishing 3rd in the 100m an hr earlier .....also a dominant Trevor Bassitt in the 400hurdles ...48.9s ...bassitt also dropped a 44.9 relay leg less than an hour after his final ......have to say outside of maybe the top 3 in every track event of the division 2 athletes ,there was little difference between d2 and d3 national championships performances....indeed blaskowski would have won the men’s 100 in d2 ....
And the likes of miller , bellfield and bassitt ( world class ) would challenge. If not medal or win in ncaa division 1 finals .

Kaczmarek looked very strong and composed holding off the very talented Allyson Felix.


Ewa Swoboda has one of the best starts of any female sprinter on earth. When she gets the lead it's not very often that
she is caught. She has to break the 11 seconds this year. I'm positive she will. This was only her first race with a late start
to the season for her and for so many european sprinters. It really puts them at a disadvantage compared to the warmer
nations who are already in far better shape with a little over a month till the world championships.

Got some more great news for you guys. One of our favorite female sprinters went sub 11 today at the Music City Track Carnival.

MaryBeth Sant-Price finished in 2nd place with a sensational time of 10.96 +0.8 so it's legal! I'm so happy for her as she has always
been more of a 60 meter pocket rocket but fades alot outdoors. She looks great with a little over a month to go till Eugene!

Karsten Warholm pulled up in his 400m hurdles opener with probably a hamstring strain as he was able to walk with a bag of ice on his hamstring. This is a dilemma as now he has to take time off to heal it and will lose fitness.

Where that leaves him for Eugene is anybody's guess...

Devastating to see Warholm get hurt. He has 50 days to try and recover but even if he does will he be healthy enough to compete? Such a
let down and I'm sure it has to crushing to Karsten. He set the world record in his opener last year and then rebroke his own world record
in the Olympic Games. Karetsen Warholm is really in a class all by himself! I hope he heals quickly and can get back to fitness soon.

Yah she’s tiny but has long legs for her height. If she got out of the blocks better she most likely would have won.
