Some big holes are being opened for the backups, rarely for C-Mac. Maybe his teammates on the o-line aren't as enthusiastic blocking for him.

TD for him just now!
Don, I think you must be right. I see no holes being open for Christian, while his back ups have free running room. Were it Christian getting those types of holes, I’m confident we’d see him with another 40 or 50 yards. The thing that confuses me is how a team with an offense as white friendly in San Francisco doesn’t produce better when CMC is running the ball.

I've noticed it and commented recently how Derrick Henry has absolutely no running room in recent games. No RB, no matter how talented, can put up big numbers when he doesn't have running room. That's what ended Toby Gerhart's career prematurely when the Jags started him one season and he couldn't do anything because the o-line was atrocious. For Christian it's been way too many up the gut runs with no running room, whereas the other RBs seem to get a lot more delayed handoffs where defenders aren't sure if it's going to be a run or a pass. On other running plays they're opening up holes that Christian isn't getting.

I just wanna see him get to the second level of defense, that happens and I’m confident will see a 40 or 50 yard gain.

All-time bust Laquon Treadwell is still in the league, just made a catch for the Seahawks. This is his seventh season and fourth team, with a career total of 104 receptions.

I don’t know what is going on with Christian McCaffrey and running the ball, but his backups are continually doing better than him. Doesn’t matter if it was Wilson, Mitchell and now Mason… all out-performing him running the ball.

When I saw the news of him being traded to SF I didn’t like it… thought it was a good fit. More than that now, I think CMC’s exhibiting poor vision as a runner. I can’t think of what else to explain his poor production. As a white running back, despite his pedigree, he will be replaced quickly if he doesn’t perform better. Even McCaffrey’s leash is shorter because of his skin color.

Bottom line: he needs to step up.
Yeah, I have the Bengals/Chiefs game and can't watch McCaffrey, but I'm checking the stat box and have seen the dreadful YPC average. right now I'm seeing 14 carries for 37 yards. With his talent, that should equate to 70-80 yards. Very frustrating to see the back ups get alot more yards per carry, such as Jordan has 5 carries for 44 yards. He has more yards on two/thirds less carries. It makes absolutely no sense.
I guess I'm glad I'm not getting watch. I'm hoping, he'll break a long one before the day is over.

The Rams' o-line is actually functional today, and also looks to be mostly White again. Too little too late as terrible o-line play essentially ended the seasons of Stafford and Kupp. . .

Gould bails out dumb play calling by the 49ers coach. With the ball inside the 15 yard how could you have your rookie backup qb drop back for a pass? Inexcusable. Two runs and kick the chippy to win the game. That call could have grasp defeat from the jaws of victory.

Nick Bosa with his 3rd sack of the game causing a game sealing fumble! I think with today's game he may be first in NFL for sacks.

49ers coaches are very bad… with the talent on the roster the team should be much, much better. Coaching and playcalling holding this team back big time.

Joe cool with a clutch pass to seal the game! The media has given the MVP award to Mahomes already. Josh Allen sits with the exact same record now and similar numbers in total yardage and TDs.

I think Mahomes is talented but he also benefits massively from having Kelce to throw to and as an option in general. We’re it not for that I think his numbers would be decent but not nearly what he does now.

Confident to say Burrow is better than Mahomes.

Nice performance by Purdy in the upset of the Dolphins
I would put him an an equal level to Mahomes. Glad to see him get the win today.

Brock Purdy played good today and Cmac was better. He had the 30 yards run and finished with 66 yards rushing and
another 8 receptions for 80 yards and 1 touchdown! What a weapon he is for the Niners!

Sad to see the Rams lose a close one today. Ben Skowronek had 2 catches for 30 yards but was ignorred in second half.
I didn't get to watch this game but was hoping he was gonna have a break out game as his 2 rec. were in the first half.

It was good to see the Raiders win today. Looking forward to the Colts Game tonight. Let's hope they look Alec Pierce's
way more as he has like 1 catch in the last 3 games. Get the kid the ball. He is too fast and talented to be ignorred.

Ugh, what horrible news… Jimmy G. remains underrated but one thing that hurts him has been his injuries.

If CMC stays in San Fran, I am encouraged what a full off-season where he can get his run game timing down, will bring. Hopefully Jimmy G. Can start the year of healthy.

Just checked and they have Eason on the PS. Purdy can at least make things interesting for the 49ers if he plays well down the stretch.

Pierce with a 45 yard reception
It's about damn time. We know he could do this weekly and alot more than this. Look his way early and often like I said before the game
even started. To beat the Cowboys the Colts will need to be on their A Game!
