I'm getting daily updates on Alec Pierce and for what it's worth the Bears and Packers seem to have the most interest in him. The Bears pick twice in the second round -- 39 and 48 -- before the Packers pick at 53. Green Bay picks again in the second round with the 59th pick. Although predictions are all over the place with Pierce (and everyone else for that matter), as some think he goes in the second round while others think he'll last until the third or fourth, my guess is if a team really wants him they'll need to take him in the second round.
The Bears don't have a first round pick so maybe they'll use their two second round picks on the usual common "upside" picks that typically don't work out -- say a defensive tackle and a cornerback or a sumo -- before drafting Pierce in the third if he's still around, but if Green Bay really wants him I hope they're aware of what the Bears are doing. Chicago would be one of the worst landing spots for Pierce even though their current receiving group is weak. Then again, even with Green Bay no one knows how much longer Aaron Rodgers will play for the Packers and if Pierce has to serve a racial apprenticeship his QB could end up being Jordan Love or some other non-entity. Just gotta hope he lands with a team that will actually allow him to thrive.
