that time of 6.54 is currently #2 in the world in the 60m. interestingly,White athletes currently hold the #2 (Quinn), #4 (Igor Obraztsov, Russia, 6.57), and #6 (Kevin Kranz, Germany, 6.59) times in the world.
“weird,” huh? i was assured no White people could run fast ...

Does anyone here know if John Teeters gave up athletics? I sure hope not as he has run a p.b. of 6.52 over 60 meters and 10.00 over 100 meters. Talk about a heart breaking 1/100th of a second.

At the same meet, Femke Bol and Lieke Klaver, both of the Netherlands, were also tearing up the track.
Femke, who is a 400m hurdler, set another indoor NR in the 400m - 50.81. She had set the previous record of 50.97, just a week ago.
She is young (21 yrs old) and improving very quickly. Hopefully, she will be good for a medal at the Olympics.
Similarly, Lieke (23 yrs old) also set another indoor NR in the 200m, 23.10. Last week she ran a NR 23.17.
Right now, Femke Bol has the world leading time in the 400m, and Lieke Klaver is 2nd.
Between the two of them, they have the 4 fastest 400m times in the world.
They burst onto the scene last year, and both have been improving rapidly. They have the same coach (Swiss - forgot his name).
Dafne Schippers needs to join their training group! I'm very excited for both of them.

Abby Steiner of Kentucky ran a Collegiate and American leading 22.69 in the 200m today.
She also won the 60m in a very good time of 7.24

Tomorrow in Arkansas, 3 of the fastest American white girls, will compete in the 60m at the American Track League meet #3.
Jenna Prandini, Hannah Cunliffe, and Mary Beth Price (Sant) all are on the start list for the heats.
I hope they can all make the final. That would be cool.

The way Devin Quinn seemed to still be accelerating at the end of that race is very promising. Definitely sub 10 potential.

Joris Van Gool gets better every year. He won in Germany today in a very fast time of 6.58! Keep a close eye on this young sprinter!

those Dutch girls ...... on a roll! Amazing that they are both tallet than Dafne. What is it with extraordinary tall sprinters now? Maybe core strength development is much better these days.
It sounded like the announcer after Quinn's race didn't say a full sentence but more like "Christophe Lemaitre, Devin Quinn one day eh?". Could that mean Christophe could take a leaf from Devin's book or that Devin could reach those early heights of Lemaitre?
Meanwhile 25 year old Aussie Liz Clay runs 12.84 to become 3rd fastest Aussie hurdler ever. But she only does high 11 /100s so how much more can she improve? Certainly well conditione dthough

very strong - she just blasted away from an underdone Michelle Jenneke. Maybe Michelle should concentrate on training rather than dancing and modelling.

all three of our girls ran season bests at the meet, though none challenged for the win. personally, i’m just happy to see them running on the pro level (especially Marybeth, who went through a great deal of adversity at the collegiate level).
in order to overcome the Caste System, we need athletes who don’t listen to the narrative. kudos to these ladies.

to follow up the above post, Prandini came back to win the 200m in 22.55 in Fayetteville. Cunliffe also ran, but she was nearly a full second back.
Yes, good to see them all in the final.
It's important that they have are out there competing and getting exposure, so others can see the possibilities.
Meanwhile, Jenna Prandini came back an hour later to win the 200m in an excellent time of 22.55. Thats the fastest time by an American this year. Perhaps in the world... need to check.

I'm waiting to see what Austin Kratz can do collegiately. It seems he was injured last season, and still hasn't run yet this season.

Unless Teeters skipped the indoor season he might have quit athletics. I hope not as he is only 27 with a 6.52 and 10.00 personal best times! Amazing athlete and sprinter. Hope he didn't quit &
especially in an Olympic Year. Many of these guys would smart to change countries to a european country as only Tortu of Italy is faster. They could easily make world champs and olympics teams
running for Germany, Poland, etc. It would be epic if they could break through on the highest level which is probably the U.S., England and Jamaica.
Yes let's hope that Austin Kranz can make some serious noise running for ASU. The weather is good out there.

I saw that he is coaching track. But didn't see anything to indicate that he is actually running track.

Devin Quinn ran only 6.64 today in France, losing to 2 of the guys he had just beaten easily a few days ago.
I think he might be tired, or a little flat coming of his big win 3 days ago.
But I'm not worried. He's had a big break through and I expect more good times from him this year.

Jacob Ingebrigtsen of Norway, broke the European indoor record for the 1500m, with an outstanding time of 3:31.80. It's the 5th fastest of all-time.
He crushed the competition, winning the race by over 5 seconds! And remember, this kid is just 2o yrs old....
