Brissett is on the roster to fill quota

He's probably the worst backup QB in the league. Most of Miami's losses were with Brissett as QB. Imagine what Miami's record would be had they signed Nick Foles or Mitch Trubisky to fill in for when Tua went down with the rib injury.

two disturbing plays by Book were throwing ball away on 4th and 1 when you have nothing to lose, then following up that with running out of bounds on 1st and 10 with ample time to throw the ball away, those are very basic decisions a qb must make correctly to have any chance in the NFL

Werner finished with 10tkls, 7 solo. Should be a stalwart on that Defense from here on out. 50 total tackles as a rookie and part time starter with two games to go.

Book had a tough night but New Orleans is depleted on offensive talent!

I'd like to see them develop Book behind Taysom Hill next year. He didn't have the slightest chance to do anything in this crappy game, but his mobility alone is reason enough to keep trying to work with him. Siemian is a journeyman and Winston will be coming back from a blown out knee if the Saints even re-sign him. Not likely to happen, and I'll be happy if Payton just gives Hill the keys to the offense next year (also not likely to happen but not out of the question).

I can’t wait to bet against the Dolphins in the playoffs. Their win streak has been against the trash of the league.

Jimmy G is hurt again. I’d love to bet against Trey Lance the rest of the season.

Books line let him down big time. I know he held onto
The ball to long but the Dolphins were just teeing off on him all night.

Book had 30 drop backs and was hit 14 times, and took 8 sacks...While I don’t condone the poor decisions, on a number of occasions, he was lucky to get out of harms way let alone complete a pass downfield. Factor in, the saints have no receivers, and ol boy kamara appeared disinterested for much of the game, I don’t think you can hang this one completely on Book..
with that said, they also had Blake Bortles on the roster; Would have been nice had they let him start the 2nd half. I know some aren’t going to like this, but I think Bortles is better than anything the saints have trotted out at QB this year.

The MNF crew was very complimentary of Werner late in the game. It was good to hear for a change.

Kamara was a half-ass disinterested bum in a game the Saints needed to win. But he won't have a problem cashing his $500,000 paycheck for the game or whatever he earns. That's one of the things that galls me about pro sports -- the product is mediocre at best and players quit on coaches, take plays or games off, etc., but get paid ever more ridiculous amounts of money every year. To watch an NFL game is to see an endless amount of stupid penalties and often boring, poor play, not that the equally well-paid announcers will ever call attention to it. Don's conclusion is one I reached a bit ago, no use for me to post it since it is negative and we aren't here to dwell in negativity. The reason I don't dwell in negativity is that to do so allows the psyop operators control over you , I just go on with my life I don't need to fight the establishment with the usual FOX news right wing globalist happy talk of fighting the left wing globalists with the usual Dittohead golly gee BS.

Of course I'm using your guy's patience for the NFL to tell me what highlights to watch. And I watch the Packers only to see Rodgers dissect the average NFL clown show D, I do find that entertaining especially the Bears one.

I read somewhere that Browns' player texted or tweeted take the ball out of Mayfield's hands in the middle of the game. I think I read that on Outkick.

One of the color analysts for last night's game said the QB class for this year's draft was poor. I think his point was the Saints would be better off scooping up a quarterback already experienced. Like Don, I believe Taysom Hill should be given every opportunity lead this team. He was the guy until the third preseason game. He had won the job in training camp and did nothing to lose it in the first two preseason games. Winston started the last preseason game and had a great statistical game, and two bombs completed that swayed the DWF's that Winston was the guy, Payton too.

On the pick six, I did not want the Saints to throw the ball on that play. Just did not like the situation.

The draft narrative being pushed is comical. Obviously the reason they weak qb class narrative is being pushed is because all the top QBs are White. I’d take Pickett/Strong/Corral over Fields or Lance easily.

AS I have said before on this forum, if you judge a player off of one performance, you're foolish whether it be good or bad.

I watch the Jets, Jags game Sunday and I don't know how Lawerence or Wilson have lasted this long. Both have poor offense lines and very few good receivers except Berrios who was not on the field for a lot of the plays. It must be like playing Russian Roulette when they go on the field.

I can’t wait to bet against the Dolphins in the playoffs. Their win streak has been against the trash of the league.

Having watched every snap of every Dolphins game this season, this is my assessment of them. Their offensive line has been a huge disappointment. I was optimistic about it coming into the season because of it finally being 3/5 white, the DWF favorite Solomon Kindley had been benched, and Michael Dieter along with Jesse Davis would finally get to show that they're able to start in the league, in Davis's case despite not being a high draft pick. Unfortunately Davis has been an absolute disaster this year and has regressed tremendously. In fact, all the O-linemen (both white and sumo) have regressed. Sumo Austin Jackson went from below average starter to worst starting offensive lineman in the league. This has forced rookie Liam Eichenberg to man the left tackle spot which he clearly isn't ready for at this stage in his career. I'm still optimistic about Eichenberg because he was a beast at Notre Dame and is simply a victim of being thrust into a role he's not ready for because the players around him are so bad. It's worth noting that the Dolphins have some Haitian offensive line coach who is in his first year. I suspect he is the main reason the offensive line has looked historically bad. He looks to be an affirmative action hire to the nth degree and has led Miami to have the 32nd ranked OL in the league. People forget what a good O-line coach can mean to a unit. Case in point, look what happened to New England's line when Dante Scarnaccia left. They had to beg him to come out of retirement.

This might not be a popular opinion on here, but what Tua has been able to do with this group around him is nothing short of miraculous. Combine that with the stupid owner flirting with replacing him with a sexual predator in Watson (If I were Tua, I would tell the Dolphins to go eff themselves, but he's kept a positive attitude in spite of everything) The running back situation isn't much better. Since they don't seem to have any use for Patrick Laird, they've actually had to sign guys off the street because the upsiders they drafted weren't getting it done. This is an offense that looks like it belongs to a team competing for the #1 pick in the draft, yet here they sit at 8-7. The only qualm I have about Tua is that I wish he targeted Gesicki more, although this might have more to do with the coaching than anything. Gesicki is an athletic freak. Utilize him!

I remember when the Cowboy's Larry Brown had what looked like a great game in a Super Bowl with a couple gift INT's and the next year someone signed him to a big contract and he proved to be very mediocre.

One of the funniest things I have read in the past few years is when Peter King said he looked forward to a decade of Brissett facing off against Watson for the next decade (this was when Brissett was picked as Luck's successor). That line did not age well for Peter King but of course journalists are never held to any standard.

Peter King should realize that the next Brady vs. Manning type rivalry is going to come from guys who look like Brady and Manning.
