Good point. In fact WR Mason Kinsey isn't that far behind Chinn on the small school list of prospects but he is not penciled in as being drafted.

Consider this too. Media hero and top 5-10 pick Clemson defensive prospect LB/hybrid Isaiah Simmons was a late bloomer. Tanner Muse has started for essentially three years at the best program in college football. Simmons has started for maybe a year and a half and I did see one guru bring that up saying that is a possible red flag.

But the red flags fly in the direction of white players every which way.

I bet Muse has a better NFL career than Chinn.

By the way I am finally starting to see Tanner's teammate S Nolan Turner start to show up on a 2021 draft board.

If the playing field were even I would agree with you but just remember all the hurdles Muse needs to still jump through to even be considered as a starter while Chinn based on his melanin status will more than likely be given every chance to succeed.

More pro day info

UCONN WR Kyle Buss
5’10” 185lbs
40: 4.43
Vertical: 38”
20 yd shuttle: 3.87!! (1st compared to combine WR)
3 cone: 6.71!! (2nd compared to all combine participants)
Broad: 10’6”

Buss was a 2019 graduate who had a tryout with the Vikings last year. He is obviously incredibly quick and fast, he led UCONN in receiving his senior year. He offers NFL value as a return man and potential slot receiver. I hope he gets another chance this year.

Buss falls into the same category of Riley McCarron. Potential as a return man with some possible wide receiver growth. One year on for Buss and two years for Riley both of their chances are very slim to almost nil. They don't exist.

Speedy white fringe players are tossed overboard in quick fashion and they disappear into the ether. McCarron's story is especially poignant. First game of 2018 for the Pats fumbles a punt and that sealed his fate for good. Apart from half ass camp stints Riley is off the NFL map.

But white speed players are always questioned in various ways. If a small school white player runs a swift 40 yard dash immediately the gurus question the legitimacy of the time. If a white player burns a fast 40 at the combine they look for other reasons why said player is lacking. You would think based on local media reports that S Troy Apke is the least fundamental and worst defensive back ever to lace up in the history of the NFL. Which of course is a bold faced lie.

Speaking of lies and deceptions here is a whopper! I have said for some time you have to add at least .05 seconds to hand timed 40 yard dashes which are used during pro days. But some schools up the ante and cheat like crazy.

Follow the bouncing ball!

Ole Miss DB Cam Dantzler ran a 4.64 at the combine this year.

Then Dantzler participated in a "controlled" LSU pro day event held in Baton Rouge. There he ran a sizzling 4.38. That passes the mustard test doesn't it?

It gets better. At the same venue WR Derrick Dillon a no talent track athlete from LSU ran a 4.29. Some had him at 4.22. Honestly it doesn't matter how fast this guy runs the 40 because he has zero football talent. Check him off the list. Get lost buddy.

But LSU S Grant Delpit was there too and he is considered the cream of the crop when it comes to safeties and looks to be a shoe in first round pick despite rumbles his tackling was much to be desired last season. He was also banged up a lot most of the season. Never mind, he ran a 4.39 40 and the media is blasting that number all over media outlets.

I watched his 40 and noticed he didn't look good running. Athletically he didn't look all that great and his stride was lacking. But who can argue with that speed. You know LSU that school that supplies the NFL with black athletic wonders every draft year.

Well it is time for a wake up call to these cheats. If Dantzler ran a 4.64 at the combine and a 4.38 at Baton Rouge something doesn't add up. Forget the .05 second hand held pro day add on to laser times. This is nearly a full .3 second subtraction. Even if you give some benefit of doubt and downgrade the times say .18 seconds that means Dantzler improved his combine time from 4.64 to 4.56.

Also means Dillon ran a 4.47 which is more in line with his previous laser reading.

And S Grant Delpit ran a 4.57 not a 4.39. But the media doesn't want to delve into this as they gleefully report Delpit runs the 40 in 4.39 seconds. And I am being generous. If I followed the math to a tee it would translate into a 4.65 40! One step further. Lets give him the combine equivalent based on Dantzlers time there and add the obligatory .05 hand held time. That means Delpit's so called 4.39 is actually 4.70!!!!!! That's more like it. Should I even bring up at this point perhaps the field they are using at Baton Rouge is fast too? Ha.

Black skill players cheating and it looks like they are going to get away with it. What else is new?

Couldn’t have said it better, that’s why I post the numbers for guys like Kyle Buss to hopefully bring some awareness to their cause. He reminds me of former NFL slot/returner Nick Miller and NFL slot/returner Nick Williams who also played at UCONN. It remains to be seen if Williams will get another chance after being on 4 different teams since 2018.

I was pretty good a hand timing back in the day when my son was going to combines. So, with nothing better to do because of this Covid-19 crap, I hand timed Dantzler's 40. I came up with a whopping 4.62 the first time, so I even waited until first movement and the best I got was 4.46. Generally I was about .10 difference on my hand time verses the laser timed events I went to. So, at best, I would say he runs around; 4.56 laser time.
Yeah, I would say the 4.38 doesn't add up. The guy holding the stop watch probably didn't start the watch until Dantzler was five yards out?

In track and field back in the early 70's when hand timed races were nearly as common automatic timing the standard was .2 difference between the two is the smaller difference because of the shorter length of the dash?

Thanks.

The MSM keeps saying what a great draft for wide receivers it is. From reading the scouting reports it doesn't seem so to me. Unfortunately, with the demise of Draft Breakdown, I don't know of any way to see for myself.

Keep scouting breakdown tabs with CF EP. What are we dog meat? Ha. Just having fun but seriously this site is as accurate as the caste suck ups out there.

While the idea of expanding the draft more rounds has gotten some recent compliments ( not from players in the league though) I am still bewildered about the whole thing. I do know agents aren't keen on extra rounds because they have a better chance of making more money by shopping around their clients. They claim the prospects get less pay if they rely on say seventh round pay but it seems to me the agents make less money. But I keep getting back to the bottom line. Does the current seven round/free agency set up good for white players? Generally hell no. Which is why I want to see a change.

Consider with the new agreement teams expand rosters two players. That is an extra 64 players right there. That represents two full draft rounds. Plus teams can add two more active players on their team game days so that means there are actually 128 more players on rosters on game days than in previous years. In the agreement two more players are added to practice squads so they grab the last two out of those.

It boggles the mind then that, despite the one year call for added rounds because of the limited access to players this year, not even a modest proposal of expanding the draft two or even one round has been mentioned or discussed. In my mind extra draft rounds would help the fringe white players. Last year if there was an extra round or two both WRs David Sills and Cody Thompson would have been drafted. And by the way they don't even fit into the fringe category. They were legitimate mid to late round picks. With an expanded draft this go around I would think both Chris Finke and Mason Kinsey would get drafted. Pure logic dictates that an expanded draft would increase the chances of worthy white players getting drafted. And I feel a drafted player has a better chance of sticking to a roster than an undrafted free agent.

Again I feel the current system is deeply stacked against white players. Right now we have caste tinged draft gurus who blanket the media with wall to wall coverage of mostly black prospects in the very tight seven round draft set up. This state of things just does not allow enough opportunities for white players in general and that is why a change would be a welcome sight.

Would it kill them to add another round or two to the draft? A modest increase. Apparently fearful protectionist current players and grubby agents might feel that way. I think agents are satisfied just getting some bucks by landing their fringy white clients who stagnate on a practice squad for a year or two. Easy money for them before they move on to the next prospect.

The site I used to go on was Draft Breakdown. Draft Breakdown had full games of players so you could scout them yourself. Now it's gone.

More horse poop coming from black speedsters. WR Jalen Reagor ran a 4.47 and had a 4.46 short shuttle at the combine. Case done that's a wrap. Guy has been running 40 yard dashes since he was an infant. Done deal. But now according to the media he lost a few pounds and just like a guy with a card trick he ran a 4.22 and or 4.28 in the 40 and a 3.97 in the short shuttle in a private workout. We are told? I cant take this crap anymore. And by the way the media is reporting this junk with a straight face talking up his amazing quick twitch muscle fibers. I would add steroid induced.

A couple of minor notes regarding the draft.

One-58 players will be available for video feed and as far as I can tell only three or four whites, all quarterbacks. Over 25% of these players come from two schools: Alabama and LSU. Reeks of cork up the ass country club crap.

Two-They keep calling this a "virtual draft" but for us viewers at home the difference won't matter much if any. We will still get the picks and the commentary from the usual suspects but I canceled my sports package which included the NFL network ( what the hell do I need that for now?) so I will have to solely rely on ESPN.

Three- I think we will also see canned videos from fans for every team. So expect some silliness which I can handle but I know annoys the hell out of some CF members.

So all in all yes there won't be the large crowds like we saw in Nashville last year and all the other pageantry. But at the end of the day it doesn't make a heck of a lot of difference and I imagine some here at CF welcome the change since there will be less overall annoying sounds and ex player roll outs. I think the studios will announce the picks this go around.

Here's another little known white player with high end athleticism - Duquesne linebacker Chris Favoroso. He has an RAS of 9.94. If he was black he would have been offered a scholarship at a major college but he's white.

A smart team would sign him as an UDFA and let him develop on a practice squad. They might end up with a good player.

This draft will resemble the drafts of the early 80's through maybe mid 90's.

Commentators will announce the picks Mel K(osher)iper will wax poetically about the prospect Todd Mc(Gay)Shay will rebutt him and then on to the next pick in 5 minutes. It will be near worthless to watch IMO, you might as well listen to the radio/internet feed as the visuals will be minimal.

Of course we will all miss the various sole brother handshakes the commissioner has learned over the years and of course this duck for cover.........

I went on Walter Football to see the top 100 of their big board. They had some interesting rankings.

QB Joe Burrow they had ranked as the number 13 prospect and the 2nd best QB prospect behind Tua. They had Oregon guard Shane Lemieux at 43. Elsewhere on their site they said they had talked to teams that had him rated high and who said he could even sneak into the first round. They had QB Jake Fromm at 51 and QB Jacob Eason at 57. They had C Tyler Biadasz at 52 and OT Charlie Heck at 88. OT Ezra Cleveland did not make the top 100. They said they talked to 6 teams about Cleveland, 3 of them had 4th round grades on him and 3 had 5th round grades on him, citing a lack of power.

I have mixed feelings about Walter, but at least he doesn't seem to be drinking the Jordan Love kool-aid. He has him as a 2nd round prospect (although he probably should be a 3rd or lower)

I was reading an evaluation of last year's draft and they called Dru Tranquil a "find." A captain at Nortre Dame, excellent player and very much on the NFL draft radar was a find?

No. Ferreting out a 4th round pick (that sticks and contributes as Tranquil has) from a Northwest New Hampshire School of Mining div. 4 program would be a "find."

Ha I like that New Hampshire School of Mining Division 4.

It is inconceivable that I will be anywhere near a good mood after this ominous looking draft. There is a small window to let in white players . Last year will look like a grand party compared to this one. Expect a marching band loaded with an array of black players who will get praised beyond belief throughout the three days.

I think the possibility that we will be pleasantly surprised by this draft is rather slim. Which means worthy white players will more than likely be left out in the cold. One example:

Casey Toohill looks like a true late mid round draft prospect to me but scanning lists it appears he is seen as a fringe prospect which suggests he will just miss out on getting drafted. On talent alone that is absurd.

Toohill is a Stanford hybrid 3-4 type of linebacker who at 6'4 250 pounds can set the edge. An apt comparison is former Pat Rob Ninkovich. Rob played with remarkable intelligence and was a key cog on the Patriots Super Bowl team that beat the Seahawks. Toohill is similarly smart but also has excellent athleticism.

He ran a 4.62 40 and soared to 39 inches in the vertical. This speaks of his explosion factor. He tested well in all the drills and like many players needs some ironing out but his potential is enormous. It was the combination of his smarts and gifted athletic ability that made him such a big play man at Stanford. Toohill is the type of athlete than can make the big play whether it be a well timed sack or the big hit that forces a turnover.

He is everything you would want in a hybrid outside linebacker/pass rusher but chances are Casey will miss the boat. He will likely be passed over by a plethora of inferior black players who have less physical talent and lack the understanding it takes to make a good NFL defender. And as if you haven't noticed NFL defenses are getting more porous as more and more black low level types are filling up NFL rosters. The NFL is inching ever closer to Big 12 types of defenses as the game transitions itself into glorified flag football.

Toohill will be one of those names that I will be on the lookout for very late in the draft as one of those pleasant surprises.

Toohill fits the tweener mold, can be a 4-3 end or a 3-4 OLB with his size and athleticism. He compares favorably to Kyler Fackrell to me and his athleticism is similar to Maxx Crosby’s last year. If I were a GM I’d definitely use a 5th round pick on Toohill, a 6’4” 250lbs edge defender with athleticism always can be needed for any team. It seems like the biggest knock on him is him only being a 1 year starter despite being at Stanford for 5 years. He still saw the field a decent amount in 2017 and 2018 though.

Agreed on Toohill gentlemen, mid round prospect with some upside. Of course an underrated athlete.

From His combine page. Let's hope that anonymous NFC West Coast scout is with John Lynch and San Francisco. Be awesome to see him stay in The Bay Area .

"I put a projection grade on him because he's athletic and long and should grow into his frame even more. I think he's way better in two years." -- West Coast scout for NFC team

Good job guys it looks like we are all on the same page when it comes to the highly athletic (and smart) Casey Toohill. What a terrible shame if he gets overlooked in the draft. That is a great scouting report on the potential of Casey.

As bad as this draft looks on paper don't discount some wild stuff occurring. The latest? CM might get traded to Washington, who has the second pick, reuniting him with head coach Rivera.

CM has one full year left on his contract and will be a full free agent in 2022. Some are using Todd Gurley as a template and worry about the shelf life of running backs so I suppose it is possible that Carolina ditches him although I would be surprised.

First I think CM has shown his durability and based on my projections CM should continue to be a top tier player for several more years at a minimum. In fact I think he will be in this league for ten years. He keeps himself in great shape and does not have a history of injuries like Gurley. Many feel he is the top RB in the NFL now but you never know. Carolina has new ownership and their Hall Of Fame linebacker Kuechly is now gone. They may be looking to start over. And maybe become a little more caste.

Any thoughts?

CM just got signed to a 4 year extension with the Panthers.
