according to BrianMac tables an altitude 200m/wind -1.5 equates to a basic 10.12 for Tortu.
Let's hope he is totally healed and peaking for a month away

Thanks for doing the conversion. I was close off the top of my head. Tortu will be running over 1oo meters in the US vs Europe Track Meet. It will be interesting to
see what kind of time he can run going against the very fast american sprinters. Hope for a time around 10.05 if the conditions are right. :)

A point of interest is that Sani Brown is a 9.97 sprinter. Tortu is coming back strong after his injury.

wow Tortu is really starting to look muscular, much bigger than a year ago. He was pulling Sani Brown with him....

Interesting how Sani Brown has muslim first names...

Really brings into perspective how fast Boling is...

Tortu looked very strong in that race, thanks for posting the video. He does look pretty muscular compared to before. Sani Brown is fast and wasn’t able to close the gap at all. Great performance by Tortu and it looks like he’s finding that next gear.

Boling is probably buying his school books. We'll see him next season. Quinn seemed pretty burned out by the end of his college and college season, he's also a next year. Guliyev is getting near the end of his shelf life, but should have another medal winning 200 in him. As I recall, Erasmus had some injury problems. Browning and Erasmus are Southern Hemisphere guys, so it's like their training phases don't jibe with the Northern Hemisphere. Would love to either one of them show up.

It looks like Tortu, Gemili and Taftian can still make an impact coming down the stretch. Also, in the past, it seems like the Asian runners often come up with late season performances. I would like to see that Japanese national record go back to a real Japanese. That Sani Brown guy is half black.

A great win for Karsten Warholm in Zurich today.
His time of 46.92 is the 2nd fastest in history!
He showed real guts and determination, as Rai Benjamin pulled even with him in the final straightaway, but Warholm gathered himself, found another gear, and pulled ahead for the victory.
He is super exciting! My favorite track athlete at the moment.

Meanwhile Zhenye Xie of China took 2nd to Noah Lyles in the 100m, beating Gatlin, Blake, and some other serious competition.

I thought the ladies 4x100m was interesting. Schippers absolutely smoking on the second leg for NED but Kambucha got caught and the 4th leg almost comes back to get Luckenkemper for first, another 3m and she would have caught her. China pulls away and gets third. Well done . If Germany had run their all white 4x squad they win going away but I guess they have been replaced by 2 negroes and a mulatto. Sad to see.

Luckenkemper (sub 11) just manages to hold off Van Hunenstijn (PB 11.29) on the final relay leg. Hoping the Dutch have another good improver in their squad.
The 200 was won by the woman I've thought for 18 months or more would take the mantle from the established stars of the event.
The Chinese sprinter Xie must have shocked a few of those inside. Bodes well for his temperament under pressure hopefully

MM I agree with you in the fact Miller Ouibo will be the champ for awhile, she may well break the 2oom record. Her pb is still slower than Schippers at this point. I did think Schippers was solid in the 200m only tightening up when she sensed Thompson beside her and faltered her last few strides. Like I said in my previous post, Schippers was smoking in the relay! People also gotta realize the Chinese women's relay team is no joke and will continue to get better.

I have never been a fan of the precocious Shameer Little and glad the teenager McLaughlin destroyed her in the 400m. McLaughlin is half white/black mix. In that race Hejdnova was was closing strong and was Swiety of Poland so 2 of top four were white.

The Canadian gal Stafford 3rd in the 1500m is really starting to show her mettle and set a National time for Canada in that race. She will also progress and become a serious threat. Dibaba is mortal now she is off the PEDS.

Thanks for posting this. The 10s barrier is very much real, isn’t it? Blacks routinely break it and stay there, while whites and Asians are hanging around the margins, but just on the outside of it.

I think it’s sad that we get excited when a white sprinter runs a 10.1 or 10.2 (no offense to anyone here), but those times are meaningless in world class sprinting. Boling is a separate case because he’s just getting started and the future looks bright, I have very high hopes.

I agree. When I see a white sprinter run sub 10.10 in neutral conditions (and several times) then I slot that athlete into my memory bank as potentially world class, especially if they've overcome some adversity. Guliyev is a perfect example of this.
A 10.20 with a 1.5 doesn't grab me (that's why Jack Hale doesn't get my attention these days).

Xie is now firmly embedded in my mind as another great Chinese hope

If they've programmed her training correctly, I'm hoping to see a very low 22 for Schippers in 3/4 weeks. That'll put her on the podium.

I am not confident she'll go near 21.63 again. Looks a bit lethargic in comparison to 2015 to my eyes.
Miller-Uibo could well take the WR if she concentrates on 200 using her 400 strength. I don't think she can double and take it though. I'd like to see Flo-Jo out of there

Watching the mens 100 final in Berlin was sad. To see Julian Reus who I have rooted and cheered for a very long time towards
the back of the pack. He will probably retire unless he makes one last push for the olympics next year. It's doubtful. I feel so sad for him and
Richard Kilty as both will probably end their careers with personal bests of 10.01 seconds. How frustrating that must be to come that close with
all of the thousands of hours of training they put in over the last decade or more. Sometimes life just isn't fair. At least Kilty will always be the worlds
fastest man indoors several years ago. His name is in the history books and he will have that gold medal forever. For Reus at least he is the fastest
german male sprinter ever over 60 and 100 meters. Nothing to be too ashamed over. He inspired alot of young german kids as did Verena Sailer.

Agreed. And Reus's fastest runs have never been on an international stage which to me would indicate a mind never able to manage self doubt. Fairly common thing I think - and one that separates champions from those with 99% of the same physical ability.
And it doesn't look good when you host an international meeting and your 3 top sprinters fill the last 3 places.

You know, since I have been following this site, the German men have consistently folded in international competition. I wonder what's up with that? They obviously have the talent.

Actually I am not sure that they (Germany) have the talent.
I was just thinking the other day as I was watching highlights from the Zurich meet, that there are no German runners of note on the men's side.
No sprinters, hurdlers, middle distance, or long distance runners. No jumpers either. Am I wrong?
I can't think of one German guy in the European top 10 in any of these events.

And it's been that way for years - 5, 6, 7, 8 years. Yet Germany has the 2nd largest population in Europe after Russia.
Very strange.

So I just checked, and the last time a German man won an individual medal in a running event in the European Championships, was in 2012.
Arne Gabius, silver in the 5000 meters.
That's 4 championships ago! and that's an absolutely pathetic record!!
Estonia, Norway, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Belgium, Sweden - all very small countries, have a better record than Germany during this time. Unbelievable!!

Yes it's very strange with the German Men. The women have been far more successful. I think alot of it goes back to all of the anti white hatred thrown on this nation since the end of world war II. Also you have to consider that they lost between 4 to 8 million people in WW2. After the war due to allied starvation another 9 million germans died. Horrible to think about. Think how much better they could have been. The anti while propaganda is also what helped bring in the Anti German Leader who needs to be replaced as soon as possible before the German population is over run even more with muslims.

How many Germans died in WW2?
[More than nine million Germans died as a result of deliberate Allied starvation and expulsion policies after the Second World War, including 1.5-2 million German prisoners, which is the alleged number that died in Auschwitz.

The sport is strictly an amateur sport, less superstar athletes. Germans historically have won medals in every event from 100 to the marathon at world and Olympic meets. Maybe soccer which is a religion steals away too much talent. I know track lost some cache with East German documented cheating and harsh anti-drug laws were passed.

PS, you guys forgot about Tobias Unger who made 2 major finals in the 200 a little over a decade ago in a documented very dirty era, with Gatlin, Crawford and Williams all were supplied by Balco......

Their gene pool produced Armin Hary, Frank Emelmann, Julian Reus, Thomas Schoenlebe, Katrin Krabbe, Heike Dreschler, Marlie Gohr, Silke Gladish, etc. I am not saying they should beat the world, but they should be doing better than they are. I suspect they have been very beaten down with all this Globo Homo/kill off the white people propaganda. Because of their role in WWII (trying to kick the Jews out of their country), the pressure has really been cranked up on them even more than others.

Of course on this site, there have been quite a few discussions regarding the vested interest Globo Homo has in promoting blacks in glamour events and sports, e.g., to gain acceptance by the brain dead white population, emasculating white men, etc.
