For all this talk about the #Me Too movement to me the greatest threat to the female race is allowing transgender (male born) athletes to compete against women.

Like Joe Rogan, see below, I think if this nonsense if allowed to bloom and take full affect it will destroy women's sports as we know it. Cast way the "optics" and the misdirection, transgender athletes who were born male are essentially "male" and I think all this testosterone level confusion is besides the point. Testosterone levels are but one factor and shouldn't be the dividing line. Being born male is where the buck should stop. If these transgender male born athletes want to compete in sports they should compete against men.

Track and Field and all other sports need to be aware of the fact by allowing these fake females to participate against real females it will destroy and forever taint what we call women's athletics. Women should be up in arms.

Again I also don't understand this push for children to "decide" at such early ages that they want to be another sex. There have always been gay people around but children are too young to formulate their "sexual preferences."

Good day all.

I have been quiet for almost a year. News on Emile. He is battling an injury and had to withdraw from the African Games and the Worlds in 2019. The problem is we cannot get a diagnosis on his problem. We are working on it though. He has been training but cannot run at full speed. I will keep you posted. He had an ok season in 2019 winning the "state championships" and the South African Students championships. His best for 2019 was 10.15 which still places him 4th in South Africa. He also ran in the world relay champs in Yokohama representing South Africa. I am adding a few pics.

great shots. We had been wondering where things were at with Emile. Injury can be just so debilitating and drawn out - best wishes for a turnaround this year. Thanks for the update

the second picture must cause much fear in the blacks....I hope his injuries heal quickly and he can have a successful, healthy season.

Interestingly he has Adidas sprint shorts, singlet but Nike sprint spikes. Does Adidas sponsor South African National team? If so why does he wear Nike spikes? I am one to talk actually lol I wear Nike singlet, Adidas sprint spikes, Aussie 2XU sprint shorts, New Balance athletic jacket and a LiNing(Chinese)back pack.

Emile probably would have made one heck of a wide receiver in the NFL!
I'm actually surprised he was never coached to be a decathlete, with his frame and obvious strength he looks like a natural who could easily score 8000+ and with good technical coaching 8500+. I don't know if South Africa has the coaches though.

The South African team is sponsored by Adidas. Emile gets his kit from Nike. No signed sponsor deal from anybody though. There a no real decathlon coaches in South Africa. We have one exceptional decathlete which you can have a look at, his name is Frederich Pretorius. Search Frederich Pretorius Athlete.

I think he would have done well in the NFL. Played for the u/20 Sevens "Blitzbokke" in 2009 and 2010. Always the biggest and fastest on the field. In 2010 he played in 7 tournaments and scored 35 tries. Very scary.@lantic.jpg
This pic was taken in 2010 18 years old.@lantic.jpg

Thought you would enjoy this pic

Hello everyone, happy 2021. I hop that we all have a better year. Update on Emile. Last race was 11 June 2019. He tweeked an old injury and went into rehab. South Africa has been in lockdown since 27 March 2020 and most stuff is still closed. We reached a unemployment figure of 48.9% and the state of the country is desperate. Emile used the lockdown to recover fully from all his injuries and has been training hard. I have never seen him in such good shape mentally and physically. He will have is first race in anger on Jan 23 and I will report back on that. Unfortunately no spectators are allowed at the stadium but hopefully his coach will get some footage.

That's great that he will finally race again. Glad to hear that you and the family are safe for now. This covid stuff is insane and what they are doing to the whole world. Please keep us updated on all of the above. Stay safe my friend.

Thank you guys. Yes COVID has hit us all. I had 6 direct family members come down with the disease, as well as my best friend. They are all ok and we are thankful for that. We are staying safe. You all stay safe please.

Wow. South Africa went to 50% unemployment? For what? Because of the COVID cold virus? Insanity. Lockdowns ruining so many lives.

It is terrible. The whole tourist industry has lost 80% of their business, closed for good. All beaches, lagoons, dams and public pools have been closed down No social gatherings are allowed. No alcohol sales are allowed by anyone. We have a curfew from 9pm to 5am. Masks are mandatory. All industries were shut down from March 2020 to August 2020 except for agriculture and of course government. We had one instance of a kite surfer, alone on the beach and in the water being arrested by 5 police vehicles, 3 parks board vehicles and a police helicopter. The covid regs are enforced with great gusto and the defense force has now also been deployed. The most expensive commercial real estate in South Africa is in Sandton, a suburb of Johannesburg, the occupancy rate is at 5% at the moment.
