The Taysom Hill- Lamar Jackson-Trace McSorley triangle.

I know Taysom is 28 and Lamar is 22 but as Tom Brady and others are proving more QB's than ever can play into their late 30's and perhaps beyond these days.

So they tell us Lamar Jackson is the new face of football. The dynamic fast running QB who rearranged an entire Ravens organization just to accommodate him. But after watching the dynamic Taysom Hill play last night I would figure Hill would be the lead actor in that movie.

Hill went undrafted and in his first year in the NFL three years ago he was the team mascot and special teams tag along. I believe he was also their water boy. Last year they figured out he can do more than those things and discovered he could play about four positions on offense including RB and WR. And sizzle defenses every which way.

Seems to me Taysom should be leading his own team just like Jackson gets a chance to do. Jackson was a first round pick and even chased a Super Bowl champion QB Joe Flacco out of town unceremoniously. Jackson just as unproven as Hill as a starter didn't pass the ball very well last year but the media is on the case. Their ever thirsty desire to see a running black QB take over the NFL knows no limits.

I still haven't figured out if Jackson is actually better than McSorley. Trace is a another dynamic running QB who skill wise is right around where Jackson is except he isn't black. Neither one will be confused with Drew Brees or Tom Brady but I think the Ravens are putting all their eggs in this Lamar Jackson basket and I just don't see it working out. Especially if that defense flags and Jackson will actually have to earn a real victory on his own. Like Josh Allen had to do last year with the Bills.

Last night watched the replay of the Ravens - Packers game about all I seen of the Pack is that Kumerow showed up and that is that, they even made Scattershot look competent. And the NFL network is all black with the exception of a few (((white))) allowed to play guest clown, a truly awful product.

Laird has played well.....Good article....
I’d have thought AJO would test out a hair bigger and stronger with similar speed, thus making him a more legit prospect. They both seem like great kids....Sadly to say, AJO probably won’t get a practice squad look....Prove me wrong!
Good news for Laird, bleak for AJO....Same old disrespect, cliche (H back FB) crap for Nall

Through the past year plus I have graded Laird a bit higher than both AJO and Nall. He reminds me of Rex Burkhead in that he can do multiple things very well. He also has excellent special teams potential.

And he has such great character he would be a positive force in the locker room. Trouble with white RBs in general though is if he slips up just a fraction NFL staffs overreact.

I think it would be wise for the NFL to haul in more scholarly types and players who have a sense of communal purpose like Laird. Otherwise we get a league full of ass wipe jerk offs like Antonio Brown clogging up the airwaves with their asinine antics.

Excellent article on Laird. I'm rooting for him as hard as I can. Everytime he touches that ball on a run or catch I'm jumping up and down. He can flat out play and deserves to be in the running
for the top 2 rb spots. I saw the others guys play in college. They are good but so is Laird. His skin color is why he is being judged. A long shot to make a team. What a joke.

As far as Nall goes, I'm hoping he gets cut. The Bears are not the best judge of talent. To do what he did last preseason and not make the roster is absurd. He needs to get out of Chicago where
the practice squad is the best he can hope for. Ryan Nall should be a starting running back in the NFL. He is that good. I see a Jerome Bettis type rb with power, speed and agility who can
also block and catch passes as well. What's not to like?

As for AJO I also feel he has potential to be a starter or at the worst to be in a rotation of back used weekly.

All three of these guys deserve better. Do not give up on your dream guys! Also do not let them change your position. Stay at what you are best at. I was hoping
McCaffrey would help make it a little easier for our guys but that's not happening. We need to fight for our place on offense!

One player's misfortune is Andy Isabella's good fortune. Butler (4th round) was one of the three WRs the Cardinals drafted this year along with Andy and Keesean Johnson (6th round). They were battling for position after Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk. This is likely Fitzgerald's last year.

The Arizona Cardinals have even more questions at wide receiver as the regular-season opener is less than three weeks away. Hakeem Butler will reportedly miss the remainder of the preseason with a hand fracture and is a candidate for injured reserve. Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Butler has an avulsion fracture in his hand and could be sidelined for the season.

Another good article of RB Patrick Laird. I have to give kudos to coach Brian Flores as well:

https://www.miamidolphins.com/news/former-walk-on-patrick-laird-s-career-off-to-a-good-start

Patrick Laird is creating some buzz down here in Miami and my peers are looking at me once again like if I’m some kind of talent evaluating genius, because for about the past 8 years, I have continued to vocally rave about these athletes prior to any kind of DWF recognition (Woodhead, Nelson, Decker, Kelce, Kittle, McCaffrey, Thielen, Burkhead, Zenner, Nall, Laird, etc.) and I really just have to thank my Caste Football brothers for the contributions they have made to this site.

With that being said, I already had a couple of friends share with me the following scenario: Dolphins RB Kenyan Drake’s foot might not be ready for week 1 and Dolphin RB Walton looks like he will be receiving a suspension, so there’s a solid chance that the un-drafted RB Patrick Laird will be the #2 RB For wk 1 against the Baltimore Ravens.

I glance thru the headlines at the Milwaukee paper, top article Packers must draft QB in 1st round. Well damn my casual football fan of a wife called that a year ago, but the Packers after no doubt paying execs big bucks to read the caste gimps' work passed on Lock or Thoresen (my choices). If Rogers lasts the year I predict 6-10 if he gets injured early no better than 4-12. If it weren't for Gruden and Mayock the Pack would be in the running for overpaid goofs of the year.

I think super fragile is too strong of a term for Aaron Rodgers. Since 2008 he has played pretty much 9 full seasons. Nicked up from time to time but not bad considering.

He did miss about half of the 2013 season. And in 2017 he only played 7 games after a Vikings LB illegally drove him into the ground where he suffered a collarbone injury.

So for a QB who uses his legs a lot overall he has remained relatively healthy although he had some lingering issues last season but played through them.

I agree the Packers should start looking for his successor soon and if Rodgers does get hurt this season they will be in big trouble.

That is beautiful news......

Amazingly, Laird is projected to make the team by certain experts: https://dolphinswire.usatoday.com/gallery/2019-preseason-week-3-projected-dolphins-53-man-roster/

It would be so great to see him make the squad, as the only other white RB's who'll likely make the roster this season will be McCaffrey, Burkhead, and Zenner. New head coach, Brian Flores (a long-time Patriot scout/assistant coach) could have developed a "soft spot" for white skill players. Woodhead and Burkhead had success there, so perhaps he'll put aside any prejudice and base his decision off of merit alone? It would be a nice victory for our cause to have 4 white RB's on rosters this season...

Cam Newton left the game with a foot injury and did not return.

Trace McSorley got the start and has been putting on a clinic against the Eagles. Running the Raven’s offense better than I’ve ever seen the “Blank Slate” do it.

Tim Boyle starting for the Packers in the third preseason game - I hope he has leapfrogged Kizer and the Packers are going to cut Kizer at the end of the preseason.

That would seem to be the obvious read on the situation, BUT, this isn't our first rodeo. Expect the worst, especially from the Pack at backup QB.

Ballage sucks! Get Laird in there NOW!

If Laird does anything at all, he's going to look great in comparison. Oddly (or not), he's probably got a better chance with a black head coach.
Let's see if Laird gets a real chance or just gets ******** situations where the box is loaded up.

Trace McSorley is 16 of 24 for 2 passing TDs and 1 rushing TD in the first half as Baltimore leads Philly 26-0. I've only seen the highlights but presumably the Eagles played their starters on defense for most or all of the half. McSorley played the entire half while Lamar Jackson was held out of the game.

Just saw that Drew Lock injured his thumb and may have to go on IR. I believe he can come back after 8 weeks. It is unfortunate but hopefully he can take mental reps and work on his mechanics/learning the play book. Flacco should play all year anyways and I am expecting a solid season from him.
