Good week for NFL playoffs. Chiefs have the opportunity to do their yearly playoff choke job at Arrowhead with their Big 12-style defense team. I don't think the Chiefs offense can score every single time that they have the ball which is what they would have to do since Andrew Luck and the Colts certainly will.

The nightcap features the Dallas Daks against the Rams. Without Cooper Kupp the Rams are just another caste team.

Dallas will really miss Travis Frederick in this one. Rams with the edge - but if they fail to utilize their TEs - game could be quite close. There are elements, like young QBs and possible turnovers, that could make this game interesting.

Tyler Higbee is a weapon in waiting. They did begin throwing a bit more to him after Kupp went on IR and Kupp's replacement Josh Reynolds proved to be not nearly as good as Cooper, but Higbee is still way underutilized.

Of course, the Rams also have a black TE in Gerald Everett who was drafted in the 2nd round in '17, a year after Higbee was drafted in the 4th round. As always happens when a team has a White TE and a black one drafted at roughly the same time, the black one is always proclaimed the superior athlete with, needless to say, more upside. And almost always, the White tight end "surprises" all the know it alls by ending up being the better option. So Higbee is dealing with that process, which is akin to the racial apprenticeship Whites are forced to go through at all the positions they're not expected to play well, even tight end where they now dominate.

BTW, the obvious dropoff in the Rams' offense after Kupp went down will go a long way toward cementing Cooper in the media and DWF Nation as a star when he does get back to 100 percent. Much like Adam Thielen was finally accepted when his talent and production became too good to deny, if Kupp goes over 100 receptions with a bunch of TDs as Goff's go to receiver, it'll be accepted faster and better than it would have otherwise.

Lots of snow for the game today. It will be interesting to see which of the two teams will come out on top in non favorable passing conditions.

Don,

I agree. And Higbee is a serious redzone threat. Whenever I watch Rams, Todd Gurley has the huge o-line -- plus Higbee -- blocking for him. I have to say, Gurley is in a very favorable position to be built up as a top 2 back. In this playoff run they hope to have, Rams' would be wise to utilize various options.

And a Snow plow O-line for the Colts...How many NFL teams have a Snow -plow O-Line?? The Falcons & Lions do too....KC Chiefs 4 for 5

Before the injury Andrew Luck was the #1 Proto-type...Good to see him come back so strong!

Glad to see 6'-8" Margus Hunt find his niche w the Colts! If KC Wins Travis Kelce will be the main reason.

Daniel Sorenson in the Starting Line up

True Don...it's almost as if even the DWF / Media read CF that the LA Rams Offense was NOT the same w/o Cooper Kupp! So true about Higbee...you could tell he could be Big time when he was at Western Kentucky!

Horrible 1st play call for Indy. A counter play, out of shotgun, where they leave Dee Ford unblocked. Result negative 3 yard rush.

Chiefs March right down field, up 7 zip.

Agreed JohnnyU. Indy defense showing some signs of life. Got Mahomes dinged up. Their offense has been abysmal so far though .

The Colts' offense was awful in the first half. Couldn't get anything going whatsoever, then all of a sudden they march right down the field at the end of the half like its nothing, then Vinateri blows a chip shot field goal. What a garbage first half.

Idiotic black Colts defender does the Ravishing Rick Rude pelvic thrust at the ref, costing his team 15 yards. His team is getting beat down, yet pulls this sh*t like he just won the super bowl

Bonehead 15 yd unsportsmanlike penalty on Autry of the Colts. Acting out with TNB and a much deserved penalty with his team down by 17 and getting dominated all day...

Well I'd say it's over. Luck sacked on 3rd and 6 after a long first down carry gets negated by a BS holding call.

Is it just me, or do the Colts seem to be getting alot of penalties at inopportune moments? Several offsides called in this game, then the unsportsmanlike on Autry, then a holding after a first down pickup on a run.

The Colts really need a TD after this turnover.

Chiefs have more white pass catchers than the Colts, Gehrig Dieter caught a first down ball a few series ago.
