Dallas will really miss Travis Frederick in this one. Rams with the edge - but if they fail to utilize their TEs - game could be quite close. There are elements, like young QBs and possible turnovers, that could make this game interesting.
Tyler Higbee is a weapon in waiting. They did begin throwing a bit more to him after Kupp went on IR and Kupp's replacement Josh Reynolds proved to be not nearly as good as Cooper, but Higbee is still way underutilized.
Of course, the Rams also have a black TE in Gerald Everett who was drafted in the 2nd round in '17, a year after Higbee was drafted in the 4th round. As
always happens when a team has a White TE and a black one drafted at roughly the same time, the black one is always proclaimed the superior athlete with, needless to say, more upside. And almost always, the White tight end "surprises" all the know it alls by ending up being the better option. So Higbee is dealing with that process, which is akin to the racial apprenticeship Whites are forced to go through at all the positions they're not expected to play well, even tight end where they now dominate.
BTW, the obvious dropoff in the Rams' offense after Kupp went down will go a long way toward cementing Cooper in the media and DWF Nation as a star when he does get back to 100 percent. Much like Adam Thielen was finally accepted when his talent and production became too good to deny, if Kupp goes over 100 receptions with a bunch of TDs as Goff's go to receiver, it'll be accepted faster and better than it would have otherwise.
