The ultimate ecstasy takes place when a championship is involved like Simona Halep winning Wimbledon or the Pats winning the Super Bowl. But I have had some close to ecstasy moments in college football like Yale coming back and beating Harvard.

Now that game has company. When I saw FS Nolan Turner clinch the game last night with a great interception I had one of those rare rushes. See below him celebrating with his fellow Stud Brother Tanner Muse#19. It was fitting Muse was the closest player to him and told him to drop down in the end zone.

preview.jpg

Clemson head coach Swinney is a very religious man and was an underdog wide receiver at Alabama who barely played which probably gives him empathy for underdogs.

I have mentioned this before but Nolan's dad Kevin was Dabo's best friend at Alabama and they remained life long best buddies. Unlike Dabo, Kevin was a star at Alabama where in his senior year he averaged close to 6 yards a carry and in 1988 he caught 48 passes as a hybrid back.

He went on to have a very solid NFL career with 236 career receptions from the fullback spot and averaged 4 yards per carry in his career with the Pats and the Eagles. Kevin came down with ALS and passed away but Dabo saw to it to offer a scholarship to Nolan, yet another swift white talent being ignored by the big boys. Now a junior Nolan looks like a future NFL player and made the biggest play so far this season for Clemson.

Sounds like a movie script.

Excellent write up! That final drive had me so nervous, couldn't have asked for a better ending than Turner's game winning Interception! Even Herbie had to admit that Turner and Muse are good safeties!

Also thanks for the history lesson, regarding Kevin Turner and Dabo. Being born after '88 I would have never guessed that Bama allowed a Honkey RB to Star for them in the 80s.

Dabo made a comment in his post game interview saying he told Nolan to quit pouting on the bench before the last drive, you're going to get the interception to win this thing. That'd be a great scene in the movie! I'm assuming Turner was little down after missing a couple tackles and giving up a TD earlier in the game. Nice to have a coach believe in you!

Some more bowl games today - Florida-UVA going on right now.

Cal beat Hate Smiff's Illini earlier today.

WKU beat WMU - Caste system victim Alex Grace did have an INT in his final college game. I remember alot of discussion about him during his recruitment - he broke the state rushing record in Michigan and was overlooked by everyone but CMU and WMU who converted him to LB.

Recently on a few different Football message boards observed.....
Just one example from the weak n pathetic DWF's about Clemson's Defense (heard same few weeks ago about Ohio State's White LBers too)
""In fact I can see Brady attacking those slow white LB'ers of theirs! Lol""
""Too many white dudes on that Clemson defense.""
"25" Up votes only "5" Down votes

Were these slow white guys in PE that got picked on?? Makes themselves feel better?? So frustrating want to punch:mad: thru the computer screen...my replies have not been very nice!

Here's is 6'-2" 230lb. Hybrid Safety Tanner Muse #19 catching talented RB JK Dobbins from behind on 65 yard run ...
doesn't look slow to me @ 1:52

I love that Muse run down and so did the coaching staff. It shows the passion, athleticism and guts that is so often missing in the all black defense world we live in.

There are a few players of interest in the Navy-Kansas State game that just started. I am rooting for Kansas State.

Wyoming at 4:30 today on CBSSN.

Tonight the Utah-Texas game is a caste affair. Anytime I bring up a preview of a white WR he ends up with a 2-6 stat line or worse. Be that as it may I would hope QB Sam Ehlinger and freshman WR Jake Smith hook up big time tonight. And give us a nice feeling going into next season. I am high on Ehlinger by the way and he could slip into the first round with a great season next year. Feisty and tough and athletic he resembles Baker Mayfield but I think he is a better runner without all the drama. I don't care for that Texas HC though. Too caste. Surprised he roped in Smith but he under utilized him as the season wore on. Another coach allergic to bringing in white defensive talent. I hate that.

I hope Michigan beats Alabama in their noon game on New Years Day. QB Shea Patterson has one last chance to boost his underrated draft stock. I compare Oregon QB Herbert to Josh Allen ( others here site other QBs) but the question isn't whether he has NFL talent which he has. It is whether he can become great and that is yet to be determined. All the raw tools are there. I am not quite as high on him as I was with Josh coming out of college but if he fixes a few things I could easily upgrade him. They play Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl tomorrow.

The night game tomorrow between Georgia and Baylor is uninspiring to say the least.

In fact the rest of the Bowl games including the games from yesterday held very little interest for me. Though I guess Virginia junior LB Zane Zandler #33 deserves a shout out with his 13 tackles against dreaded Florida in a loss.

NFL draft followers might want to note these dates.

East West Shrine game 1-18-20 at 3:00 NFL network.

The lesser NFLPA Collegiate Bowl same day at 5:00 FS1.

The most important Senior Bowl 1-25-20 at 2:30 NFL network. These are all Saturday games.

Ehlinger is having a great game both through the air and on the ground. He’s got some wheels and excellent open field vision. Utah quota has been stifled, although just got a TD pass. He was stopped on 4th down a couple of plays before, but a Texas player drew a personal foul penalty because he kept playing after an offensive lineman ripped off his helmet!! What a dumb rule.

Nice to see Ehlinger finish the year off strong. I hate Texas but really like him. Looking forward to the Rose Bowl and Citrus Bowl - good showcases for Patterson and Herbert.

Muse made a crucial tackle which saved Dobbins' long run, and saved 4 points (from TD--FG).

Nolan Turner played most of his snaps that night in 2nd half, Clemson is different team in the 2nd half, their Coordinator Brent Venables is
so white friendly, there are more white in D than their O!

Nolan Turner isn't as explosive as Muse, but he knows what runners' think better, people/committee tried to kick Clemson out of playoffs after their match against North Carolina,
North Carolina isn't that bad, Howell is legit, most people find this after he punked Temple in the bowl game. Howell and his team were failed in that 2pt play just to win Clemson,
people knew it's Xavier Thomas who stopped Howell, but Turner who was perfectly positioned to what made the team win the game (an ast.).

Mac Jones doing the same thing Tua did - throwing to a wide open WR for a td pass. Illustrates why I am not sold on Tua as a transcendent omnipotent QB prospect every talking head in the media thinks he is. Michigan's slow affletic DB got burned badly.

A rare sight last night was a white LB starting for Texas. The starter was out so Tom Herman started walk-on sophomore #57 Cort Jaquess. He made 5 tackles and earned some praise from coach Herman after the game. He looked fast and looked like a solid tackler last night. Now we just wait and see if he gets to play the next two years of if he is just used for special teams duties.

Good stuff Red Raider - I didn't watch the game but it will be a development to look out for. I predict Ehlinger is going to be getting the Tebow treatment next year as all of the media and talking heads try to drag his draft stock down. I will be rooting hard for him - seems like a good kid as well as being an exceptional QB and athlete.

I don't follow college football much and only get free TV. Anyone have any suggestions about good games to watch from a caste perspective?

Oregon - Wisconsin will be good. Wisconsin is about as white friendly as they get and Herbert is a top QB prospect.

Thanks. I'll try to tune in. Right now all I can see is Alabama - Michigan.

The announcers just said that this Tua guy is yet another "generational talent." Presumably this means a player that comes along once in a generation. Every year they seem to have such a guy.

Legitimate "generational talents" would include:

Tom Brady
Luke Kuechly
Christian McCaffrey
Mike Trout
George Kittle - players with a combination of his size, strength, and speed are extremely rare.

Brady Breeze is a really good DB, I hope he is on the radar for 2021. Any Oregon game I catch he is always making a play.

Bucky probably on suicide watch after the start to this half.

Haha no way. Game's going pretty much as as I expected! Badgers D has played great since that opening drive.

Soon as I saw the Wisconsin player try that idiotic spin move I knew that the ball was coming out. Great run by Herbert to take advantage of that and put the Ducks up by 1.
