Kyle Allen looks great. Outdueling the grossly overrated, adored and lionized Bridgewater.

Panthers 3rd string QB Kyle Allen takes them straight down the field, along with CM for an opening drive TD. CM 40 total yards on the first drive!
What a fantastic first half for Kyle Allen. A rushing TD and now a passing TD. Maybe a good audition for next season with the Panthers or another team for a starting position.
BTW, this is the second or third game I've heard Ronde Barber announce a game and I'm impressed with him. He calls it fair. Constantly giving praise to white players. Going the extra mile in some cases by talking about the intelligence, speed, and athleticism.

60 yards for Zenner. Time to shut him down or he might get to 100.

Up to 60 yards on just 13 carries. Showing what he can do with an extended opportunity. Hopefully he can break the century mark.

if he keeps ripping 8-9 yards every time he touches the ball, we should see him eclipse the 100 mark as he is, indeed, a featured back for Lions today. Blount is nowhere to be seen after his (another) lousy start and Riddick is pretty much a 3rd down back for them.

Blount has the lowest ypc average in the entire league, so Fat Boy Patricia will face a real dilemma -- risk letting Zenner have a hundred yard game, or go back to the washed up Blount, aka "Old Unreliable." The Packers have packed it in for this game, so the potential is there for Zach to have a huge game.

This time of year the dead end teams the established players are taking it easy while the bubble guys are playing hard for a spot next season. Sad thing is the front office already has a list of potential draft picks to replace them.

David Mayo needs to wrap tackle, he could have brought Bridgewater down for a huge sack, earlier he also missed tackle on him.

Can't believe Blount is back in... 7 carries for 10 yards. Awesome.

EDIT 9 for 9 now

Heath just chased down Saquon Barkley. Also in this Giants game they had a list of the top draft eligible QBs and of course they had the midget Murray as one of the top QBs. I really want to see a team draft him very high and watch that franchise struggle for a few years. The media is really building him up.

Kyle Allen has been jerked around all season since signing as an UDFA with the Panthers. Signed in April - he was released as part of the annual white purge, signed to the PS and released. He re-signed to the PS in late October. Meanwhile the overrated Bridgewater who was celebrated as a potential heir apparent and steal has been with the Saints all year and is being outperformed. Same can be said of Deshun Kizer who has been the 2nd string QB all year and has come out and performed piss poor in relief.

I am not saying that Allen is going to be a franchise savior but he should get a fair shot as sticking as the Carolina back up QB due to his performance and ability to quickly pick up the playbook. Just an overall good example of how the caste system is overtaking the QB position. Bridgewater and Kizer are both bums.

Right on cue - Kyle Allen with a 50 yard bomb for a long TD.

edit: they took the TD away - 1st and goal at the one.
