McCaffrey’s gets his 3rd TD of the night in garbage time! 77 rushing yards, 61 receiving yards on the night.
That's why I'm currently following a moratorium on calling them the Crawfords. I'd place them middle of the pack, which is a big improvement over the earlier years of the Tomlin regime. Switzer saw some snaps at receiver last night along with returning kicks and made a couple nice catches. Chickillo and Matakevich are pretty deep on the bench, however, despite being upgrades on the guys they back up. McDonald has a lot of Gronk in him but will never get fed much consistently with arch-divas Brown and Smith-Schuster on the team, and the cretinous Leveon Bell likely to report before next Tuesday.
I'm hoping Bell is out of shape if he shows up and that the "locker room" remains behind James Connor. Big Ben seems to be and he does carry some weight. Speaking of Big Ben, he showed last night why he is perhaps the most under-rated White QB in this golden era of quarterbacks, up there with Philip Rivers. He talks on and off about retiring but is still going strong at 36.

Black "activist" Eric Reid was ejected for targeting Roethlisberger. I didn't see the play so I don't know if it was a fair call or not but it seems when a black player does this the victim is usually white.
This should make a rational person wonder but it doesn't seem to arouse even a flicker of brain function in the DWFs. They're oblivious to it all.

Like the Saints Rams tilt last night's game was a high profile matchup for us here at caste. And like the Saints game the same old theme reared it's ugly head. Horrible DB play!! In fact it is getting so bad ESPN analyst said this morning that defensive backfields are screwing up simple plays all the time now.
As mentioned above why Carolina feels the need to sideline speedy S Colin Jones year after year with useless replacements is beyond me. Last night Carolina's DB were the main cause of the loss. The Smith-Schuster long TD was the result of terrible recognition and communication by the DBs. Then you had hot shot rookie Donte Jackson get burned like toast by Antonio Brown. Jackson threw an infant fit on the sideline. You see Jackson is the type of player grown men get sexually excited about during draft season because he has blinding speed (4.32 40). Never mind he looks small out there at a baseball size of 5'10". The NFL never drafts smallish white DBs by the way.
So Jackson got sizzled. But the next and probably more important question is where was his support? What the hell are black NFL safeties doing these days other than screwing up beyond comprehension? You saw this with the Rams DBs as well getting carved up like a Thanksgiving turkey. In fact you see this in every NFL game now with so called speedy cornerbacks unable to "adjust" and safeties with thumbs up their asses.
That said the Steelers have the best receiving core in the NFL. Antonio Brown (*******) is top level and Smith Schuster is very smooth. The TE combination of Jesse James and the explosive Vance McDonald (thunder and lightening) are really good. Add in spitfire slot/ wing back Ryan Switzer and you have a formidable group. The rookie James Washington has underwhelmed. Only 7 catches out of 19 targets which I think is why you see more of Switzer who looked good last night.
Keep in mind neither Smith -Schuster or Antonio Brown are track guys with enormous jets. But they have the quickness and hands and route running ability to beat "faster" cornerbacks. Which is why the NFL draft has become a joke at times. Men salivating over LSU WR D.J. Chark with his 4.34 and track like athleticism which has amounted to a measly stat line to date of 12-159.
The point is there is more to life than straight line 40 yard dash speed and last night was yet another example of that.
Switzer has been a nice addition to the Steelers. He is a smart fundamentally sound return man who is currently 8th in the league in punt yards per return. He is reliable and that is half the battle. Too many return specialists are mistake prone plus can't catch balls that aren't kicked right to them.
Switzer also it seems is becoming more involved in the offense and like say Taysom Hill he could prove very valuable down the stretch. I just want to see him in space for once in his NFL life. I have no idea what that Raider thing was all about.
Of course Edge Watt, a true star, made two important plays last night. As for Carolina without Kuechly that might be the worst defense in the league. Obviously CM is their most important offensive player but the WR core is severely lacking and Newton has never been a WR friendly type of QB. Not sure where they are heading.

All in all last night's game checked off all the right boxes for me:
C-Mac looked great and was responsible for two TDs
Watt looked dominant
Scam looked mediocre and was responsible for getting the blow out started with his terrible pick 6
Switzer and McDonald both got involved for the Steelers and Big Ben dominated exposing that 10/11 black defense and coal secondary. Black Power Reid looked like a fool getting burnt deep.

Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) is not expected to play in Week 10 against the Titans. The Boston Herald's Kevin Duffy reports that Gronkowski isn't expected to play, and that the Pats are hoping some rest in November will allow him to become the ferocious Gronk of old down the stretch. Gronk himself called his availability on Sunday a "coach's decision." It's a logical decision to rest the ailing 29-year-old given that the team hits their bye next week. As it stands, Gronkowski will have 27 days off before potentially returning to the field in Week 12 against the Jets.

Great throw by Mayfield for that TD.
Speedster QB Jeff Driskel playing the Taysom Hill role for the Bengals, at least for one play. Replaced Dalton and had a nice 8 yard run.

Bengals just used QB Jeff Driskel in a similar fashion to the way the Saints use Taysom Hill.
Trubisky with a great throw for a long TD. Bortles did the same earlier.

Brady's just about stopped throwing TD passes in the past month
It's disgusting the way Brady keeps force-feeding the ball to Josh Gordon. Hogan with no catches so far, after having none last week. I could have sworn Hogan led the league in yards per catch two years ago as the NFL's top deep threat. . .

It’s nice to see them struggle with Gordon being the primary focus. At least Edelman is still involved. 4 catches for 75 yards in the first half.
Other than some good QB play (Luck, Mayfield, Trubisky, Barkley), nothing really happening today. Hogan not involved, Humphries and Kelce not doing much.
Looking forward to Kupp against Pete’s Plantation, Ertz against Dallas, Jordy against the Chargers, and Kittle against the Giants on MNF.
