Coleman now rastaman Gordon. Lol Don's comment about Belichik's Alzheimer's would explain a lot. I don't think 40yr old Brady will he able to right the ship for NE this year. Again it's early but im seeing way too many leaks for this Pats team to make some noise.

Ian Rapoport reporting that the Patriots are "close" to acquiring ultra-screwup Josh Gordon. Belichick continuing to exhibit the early stages of Alzheimers, while Weenieworld is trembling with anticipation.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Patriots are "getting close" to acquiring Josh Gordon. Remain calm. Gordon to the Patriots would be a true dream outcome for those who took the Gordon plunge in the early/mid-rounds of their draft, but we should not lose sight of the fact that Gordon will be on extremely thin ice wherever he ends up. The Pats are known for giving players second chances. They also known for immediately moving on when those players do not live up to their expectations. Either way, it's hard not to be giddy at the thought of Gordon catching passes from Tom Brady.

I pretty much figured that the Patriots were going to be the ones who ended up getting Gordon. It's the same story with any miscreant they bring to the team. It's hard to root for the Pats anymore - they typically redeem themselves during the season after their annual piss poor drafting but this season may be the one that shuts the book on their reign of dominance.

Belichick lost me for good after the Super Bowl. His all non white "defense" was an utter disgrace and my senses were knocked into place. They haven't been winning because of his "genius." He is a good coach for sure but without Tom Brady it is highly doubtful he wins any Super Bowls. Brady plays the game of a lifetime and BB saddles him with one of the worst defensive efforts in SB history.

And stat of the week. Patriots with Riley McCarron 1-0. Patriots without Riley 0-1.

Banished to the medieval forest wasn't it the Patriot way to keep an in house player like McCarron for the season to see how he develops?

Now they hone in on the drug addled Josh Gordon to fill the void. Or to be more precise create another void.

I’m ok with the Patriots signing Gordon. They need someone to line up wide and run deep so the defense can’t double Gronk. Edelman and Hogan will still be the main guys.

Gordon had a dozen good games in 2013, where he had 1600 yards and 9 TDs- literally half a decade ago. Has had 655 yards and 2 TDs in the 4 1/8 seasons since then. Even disregarding his many off-field issues, I don’t think he’s good enough to take too many targets or production away from Gronk, Hogan and Edelman.

Kenny Britt was/is a far bigger thug than Josh Gordon. How did he fare with the Pats last year? 2 catches for 23 yards. Hopefully Gordon will never take the field. If smart players such as Riley McCarron, Braxton Berrios, Chad Hansen, and Eric Decker couldn’t earn Brady’s trust, what hope would a dim-witted Black this and literal drug-addict possessing zero impulse control ever have?

It took years for Edelman 4 years to develop chemistry with TB12. It took Welker, Hogan, and Amendola an entire offseason of learning and studying the playbook.

Gordon is a hardcore alcoholic and has openly discussed his addiction to opioids, cocaine, and marijuana. He also suffers from depression and anxiety.

This loser also admitted that he would frequently get both drunk and high in the locker room BEFORE games.

He was released by the Browns last week for several reasons. Firstly, he injured his hamstring during a personal “photo shoot” and lied about it. Secondly, he was late for practice. Thirdly, he reportedly “wasn’t acting himself” during a practice session and his teammates believed that he had relapsed.

For what it’s worth, Jace Billingsley was re-signed to the PS. However, they placed the much-tortured Riley McCarron on IR.

A pathetic 16 whites remain on the active roster, 17 when Edelman returns. However, if RT Marcus Cannon gets healthy, will Cole Croston return to the PS? Who knows.

Unbelievable that Belichick tried to trade Gronk to the Lions this off-season. Bill is either intentionally sabotaging the team, or his ego has grown out of control. His belief that he can win with no playmakers and a line full of sumos is insane. Then, he doubles down on last year’s coal black defensive atrocity by purging the entire defense of Whites. Once a team goes coal, all they can do is blame the few remaining Whiteys and replace them.

I seriously doubt it was BB trying to trade Gronk, it was the Jew owners trying to get rid of a elite, big, strong, fast, dominent white man who is the best ever at his position. Brady has no say either, if he did he would not settle for a **** sumo laden offensive line and a **** all negro defense and you would see wholesale changes. I am sure his health is important to him especially at 41.

Everything fell into place for Burkhead this year to be the featured back. Huge disappointment.

Not really when you consider they drafted a running back in the first round and once he was healthy were force feeding him the ball even before Rex's latest injury. Running backs taken that early are always drafted to be the main runner.

Rex injured his neck on a kickoff return against the Lions. What a perfect way to squander his talent.

“Samsung” Michel is being widely mocked (by analysts and DWFs alike) for his highly dismal performances over the past two weeks. He might be the least explosive/elusive RB I’ve ever seen. It would be a nice consolation to see him bust in Burkhead’s stead.

The addition of DE John Simon to the roster brings the total to 16 whites. When Edelman returns next week, it’ll make 17. They are as follows:

Offense:
QB - Brady, Hoyer
RB - Develin
WR - Hogan, Edelman
TE - Hollister, Gronkowski
OL - Schwenke, Karras, Croston, Andrews, Thuney

Defense:
DE - Simon
DB - Ebner
K/P/LS - Gostkowski, Allen, Cardona

Note - Billingsley was cut from the PS [sighs], leaving only QB Etling and an OL (Ferentz).

John Simon seems like a genuinely good guy. He’s married to a girl he’s known since elementary school, has a young son, and seems to be an outdoorsman type with an all white group of friends...

Let’s hope the Pats don’t screw him over and he ends up carving out a role like Rob Ninkovich did after being discarded by the Saints and Dolphins.

John Simon has high end athleticism. He's played well wherever he's gone. His only issue is injury.

He should do well with the Patriots.

There are two players the Patriots should pick up, WR Dylan Cantrell, who is currently on the Chargers practice squad and RB Ryan Nall who is currently on the Bears practice squad. Both of these two rookies tested out well athletically and played very well in preseason.

Both would improve the team. Nall, if given a chance, would immediately prove to be a quality starter. Eventually, Cantrell might as well.

I cannot believe no one has gone after Ryan Nall. And Jeff Janis would be perfect fit for the Patriots!! Who are these guys' agents?!?

Belichick does seem to have an over confidence issue. I believe he feels emboldened after winning the Super Bowl in the 2016 season after trading Chandler Jones and Jaime Collins earlier in the year, right before both were due for large second contracts. The Patriots also allowed the contracts of Devin McCourty and Donta Hightower to expire before re-signing them. The poor drafting since 2013 has made this approach of avoiding big contracts and being passive in player procurement a lot more difficult. It will be interesting what changes Belichick makes if he has a tough season. Previously, he had quick and impressive rebuilds after disappointing seasons in 2002 and 2009.

Good news regarding Simon, hoping Pats throw him into the mix on the fly. He can make an impact right away!

Starting LB, Elandon Roberts, exited the Pats-Dolphins game with a leg injury. After only one week of practice, Simon came in an had 5 tackles and a sack. If Roberts misses time, Simon could be a starter (or at least get decent PT) against the Colts.

I predict that Edelman will return to the mix and that him, Gronk, and Hogan will all have great statistical games against the Colts...a team they’ve humiliated on numerous occasions over the past 5 years.

Mike Reiss is reporting that the Pats think that Rex is a prime candidate to return from IR, indicating that his neck injury wasn't season-ending, let alone career-ending...

"The Patriots have the option to bring two players back from IR later this season, depending on the recovery for each player, and I’m told that Dawson and Burkhead are the only players who could fall into that category as of now (the timeline for recovery for Bentley and Hill, for example, puts them into the 2019 league year)."

With Edleman returning will the Pats put Hogan back on the outside receiver position where he belongs or will he be behind Gordan? This will be the telltale sign of BB and the owners opinion of Hogan.
