Very satisfying win for Wisconsin. Mopped the floor with Thug U's upsiders.

Baylor QB Charlie Brewer with 257 yards passing + 105 yards rushing early 4th qtr. Vanderbilt QB Kyle Shurmur setting school records passing.

Once Patrick Laird went down due to injury...the Cheez it Bowl(what a stupid name; Cactus Bowl was much better!) went down the toilet. 9 INT's total! Congrats to Laird for the great two year run! One of the Caste poster boy's in CFB w Hunter Renfrow & others...should get a shot in the NFL. Hopefully Christian McCaffrey effect can tilt the odds in his favor!

Nice to see Wisconsin smash Miami. Andrew Van Ginkel has the look of an NFL prospect! As does RS Fr. DB Scott Nelson!

Uninspired is the word for these bowl games albeit it was nice to see Miami go down in flames to Wisconsin.

Too many walking wounded. Star Wisconsin LB Ryan Connelly sat out the bowl game yesterday with an undisclosed injury whatever the hell that means. He is a draft prospect.

And as mentioned above BC DE super stud Zach Allen was walking around in a boot. Patrick Laird injured his shoulder hence ruining his chances for a second consecutive 1,000 rushing season and leaving him with no momentum going into the draft. WR and perhaps NFL hopeful Stanford WR Trent Irwin is wearing a full leg cast. Blimey the timing of these injuries couldn't be any worse as we head into draft prep season.

For the QB watchers out there as mentioned above Duke's mobile Daniel Jones might declare because Oregon's Justin Herbert is surprisingly staying in school next season. I would prefer Jones stay for his senior year as well for more seasoning. If he did stay college football would likely have at least three very high draft pick QBs in the 2020 draft which would include Michigan's Shea Patterson. All three are extremely mobile . I think all three flash star potential.

Although Baylor LB Clay Johnson apparently didn't have one of his best games last night against caste Vanderbilt ( nobody on these defenses played well) I was impressed with Baylor sophomore QB Charlie Brewer. Look for him to shoot up the 2020 or 2021 draft boards. He displayed great wheels last night (16-109) and he was throwing the rock around with accuracy and touch. I was deeply impressed watching him destroy an SEC team.

Finally a word about Oklahoma and new media hero Heisman winner QB Kyler Murray. I am going to cut to the chase. We have seen this "blacks as a gods who can play any sport syndrome" before with Deion Sanders, Bo Jackson and Michael Jordan as the best known examples. Let me be clear about something the media ignores. Remember Jordan never made it to the big leagues and both Sanders and Jackson were clearly better football players than baseball players. Jackson lacked fundamentals and struck out just walking to the plate. He hit some dingers but overall he was just a circus show and nothing more than an overhyped average baseball player at best. And he looked stiff.

Sanders was a bit more successful but he wasn't great despite his tremendous speed. Sanders never respected the game of baseball and catcher Carlton Fisk came very close to decking him one year because of his ******* act.

But the reason these guys played baseball was so the media would gasp at their "all around athleticism." It was basically a selfish look at me enterprise for all of the above players. They could care less about their teammates. It was all about them and the media followed along like drooling puppy dogs.

Murray is playing the same" look at me aren't I wonderful" game. Point blank. If he was a true baseball stud in waiting he would have never suited up for the Oklahoma football team. To put a fine point on it. If an athlete has a chance to become a star centerfielder in the major leagues they wouldn't be playing football. Which begs the question? How good of a baseball prospect is Murray as the A's just dished out a fortune to sign him? Like so many baseball prospects these days scouts drool over "upside" black players and you can see that trend increase like crazy in recent drafts. I hate it.

Murray who is graded out as having 70 speed (80 is the highest, think Trea Turner) and 70 power. Some are envisioning a Mike Trout type of player. Good grief. Hype times a thousand. Murray batted under .300 for Oklahoma last season and is prone to striking out.

Murray will likely keep the baseball bluff going because it adds to his publicity and the black power look at me theme but at the end of the day it seems to me football is his best sport. Whether he will succeed at the NFL level especially given his size is a much debated question.

So my guess is he will tinker with baseball but when it is discovered that the subtle art of baseball is beyond him he will try and worm his way back into football. That is unless someone drafts him in the first round and then look for him to semi ditch baseball but uses it as a back drop in case the NFL doesn't work out.

That is my take. We will find out soon enough.

a 5'9" QB in the NFL? He will never make it. Doug Flutie was 5' 10", was an elite scrambler with a good arm and excellent football smarts, this negro qb is not Doug Flutie.

There are some NFL people who feel like you do. Drew Brees and Baker Mayfield are around 6 feet tall. I think the player many are looking at as a comp is Russell Wilson who is roughly just over 5'10" around the size of Doug Flutie. Murray might even be a bit shorter than that. Murray is faster than Wilson who is pretty fleet. Wilson is a proven very good QB. I don't think he qualifies as great.

I have seen Murray play but QB is the hardest position to scout and I haven't been able to make up my mind either way on him apart from the fact he is one of those look at me media hogs. Some are comparing him to Michael Vick because of his speed and elusiveness but Vick was I believe around 6'0".

But there is a growing consensus that think Murray could succeed in the NFL after his play this season. His passing ability was better than people suspected. No doubt he is a risky pick but the NFL has changed over the years so who knows.

If I were a GM I probably wouldn't pull the trigger on him. Remember Michael Vick didn't come close to playing in a Super Bowl. And this year I would be surprised if Baltimore led by running QB Lamar Jackson wins the whole thing. Although I do have Murray graded out as a better passer than Jackson. I have to admit I don't have a good read on Murray's NFL potential.

On the other hand I don't think Lamar Jackson will pan out despite being on a winning team at the moment. And I am one of the few remaining out there who is not entirely sold on Patrick Mahomes. Yes Mahomes has had many wow moments this season but I still think he is too mistake prone and I suspect that will be his downfall during the playoffs. And going forward. We will have to wait and see.

Other black NFL QBs that come to mind is Watson for Houston who I think is pretty good and Prescott of Dallas who is borderline lousy.

That is my take for whatever that is worth.

Gee, I think I've seen this script before. Who could that be?

Why, it was Calvin Murray, who was selected twice among the top dozen in round one of baseball's draft. Murray was hyped beyond belief. Cleveland was devastated when he decided to go to college; Giants eventually got a steal at #7 overall!

How did a MLB team secure such an amazing athlete when African-Americans were shunning baseball media members mused openly?* ... Ricky Henderson comparison's where the norm. His brother, Kevin Murray, was a starting quarterback at Texas A&M, just more proof of his incredible genetics.

Kyler Murray is the son of Kevin Murray, so former can't miss MLB prospect Calvin Murray is his uncle. Considering the hype and signing bonus uncle Calvin got, he had a simply stunning career: He did not make it to the Majors until he was almost 28 and his best season, by far, at age 30, he hit 6 HR's, drove in 25 runs with a 245 BA.**

Shadow, I agree. We should not blast Kyler for looking at the NFL, because it's likely his best option, even if he'll struggle at 5'9". Based on his college baseball stats there is no reason to believe he's an elite baseball prospect, other than the fact that he's represented by the same super-agent as his uncle Calvin (Scott Boros) and supposedly possesses "enormous upside" and displays a "thundering bat" in batting practice.

His career was highlighted in 2001 when he was the batter facing Randy Johnson when Johnson hit a dove with a fastball in a spring training game.

Wazzu Freshman RB Max Borghi with the impressive 10 yard TD Run...he has a promising future!

Brock Purdy & Gardiner Minshew are quality QB's.

Syracuse QB Eric Dungey 303 yards passing was getting Taysom Hill comparisons from the announcers.

David Sills had 4 receptions for 90 yards with back up QB

Jarrett Stidham had 373 yards passing & 5 TD's
TE Sal Canella is a black belt in karate.

Sills didn't have terrible stats but he was studiously ignored most of the game by WVU's backup QB. It was like watching Chris Hogan being ignored by Tom Brady this year; Sills was constantly open, sometimes even standing in an open area waving his arms, but Allison was seemingly oblivious to his presence.

Hopefully Sills spends as much time as possible between now and the Combine working on speed training, as we know any White receiver that runs over a 4.49 40 is all the excuse needed to severely downgrade him no matter how outstanding he may test in every other measurable and how good he was in college.

Stidham had exactly the type of performance needed as he heads into draft process. The Senior Bowl and Combine will be huge for him - really hope he solidifies himself as a 2nd/3rd rounder. This Wash St - Iowa St game is pretty fun to watch. Minshew is another intriguing QB who can really help himself during the pre-draft process.

I tried to watch the WVU and S game, but the play was poor on the O side of the ball. Sills should take a lesson from Zenner and get cut, muscle wise.

TT, you never fail to disappoint with your fact packed posts! I knew if the Caste media was hyping this guy as a two sport star, he would be massively overrated. Little did I know that the Usual Suspects had done this con game already with his uncle. Thanks for educating me on this.

I simply can't figure out how to select quotes from prior messages. Toggle what? Ha. I am the least bit computer savvy.

So in reference to Truthteller's note about Kyler Murray the more I think about it the more I think this "baseball" thing is a sham and the Oakland A's fell for it lock stock and barrel. I wouldn't be surprised if his baseball agent Boras will get "underground " money if Murray sticks with football.

Some of the posters here can give me a chuckle from time to time and Truthteller is one of them. He looks like a "real stud" -------at the batting cage. You know nice fat pitches right down the middle of the plate. Something tells me this guy couldn't hit a curve ball at any level even if he knew it was coming.

Back to these rotten bowl games. I caught the second half of the West Virginia game and like the posters above I was frustrated for David Sills. At least he partially salvaged his day with a nice long catch which he might have scored after some nifty moves but he tripped. Then he snagged another catch that was behind him. I like him as an NFL player. A smooth athlete. I don't know who that terrible QB was they threw out there but hopefully those draft scout ******** take that into consideration when analyzing Sills' performance last night.

Like Rocky I was frustrated with the way Washington State used Borghi. He literally was playing in a closet the whole game. Even during his TD run he had to shrug off a defender. I don't like their goofy HC. It is simple. Try and get Max some space to run and fake out defenders. He has incredible quickness and NFL caliber moves.

Obviously the ND- Clemson matchup is much tastier affair than the night cap Alabama-Oklahoma.

Also looking forward to Michigan beat the daylights out of Florida in the noon game.

I will probably be one of the few if only one here watching the Alabama game tonight. There are a couple of crumbs. I am much more lenient towards college than the NFL. I am not planning on watching the Sunday night game Titans-Colts. I don't care how important it is. Why not showcase a more popular game like the Bears -Vikings? That game is just as important and I won't get it where I live even though it is a late afternoon game and both CBS and FOX are televising two games Sunday.

But back to the crumbs. Oklahoma TE Grant Calcaterra is a natural athlete and a swift TE with NFL potential . Just a sophomore, he has caught 25 catches this season so far. And is getting better as the season wears on.

And Alabama has a back up S, junior Keaton Anderson (#31) who looks really good out there. Problem is ass wipe HC Saban routinely ignores his white skill players during big games.

Who ever wins the Alabama Oklahoma game the hype will be sickening. You can take that to the bank.

Haurbaugh lays another egg. The cuck Brock Huard was stating how Michigan needs a powerful, game changing RB - he made no mention of the dominant Toby Gerhart when Haurbaugh was at Stanford. All the 4-5 star affletes for Michigan have shown to be pretty mediocre (the ones that played today).

Notre Dame is shutting down Clemson’s rushing game so Trevor Lawrence is going to the air for over 200 yards and 2 TDs in the first half so far. Hunter Renfrow has 2 catches for 26 yards and picked up a holding call against a black DB he had beaten.......

At the half Lawrence with 264 yards and 3 TDs. Renfrow 3 for 58. Trevor Lawrence is a special talent and will be a first round pick after Clemson rides his arm for two more years

I haven't watched much Notre Dame football the last few years, but wow, they are almost as black as your typical SEC team. Dabo's CLEMSON team looks whiter, especially with Lawrence slinging the ball and Renfro out catching them.

Lawrence looks like a man child out there. What an epic performance. Clemson was a huge favorite and they may just live up to the pre game hype. Maybe this team
can win the national title. I would love to see it!

Thanks, Freethinker. When I saw the link between Kyler Murray and Calvin Murray I quickly thought about history repeating itself, with another (possibly) over-hyped Murray breaking into the top of MLB's draft?

Then I saw the Boros connection and it immediately made sense how a fairly average and seemingly "immature" Oklahoma Sooners one year baseball starter* turned into a top tier phenom!

One quick note about Calvin Murray: Until baseball imposed a cap on rookie bonuses, teams were forced to draft players based on "sign-ability", not necessarily talent alone. DWF's love to blast Houston for selecting Phil Nevin over Derek Jeter back in 1992, but Scott Boros would've never allowed him to sign with Houston, Montreal, Cincinnati, Minnesota or other small market teams, unless they handed out record shattering bonuses! Before Montreal lost it's team in 2004, they admitted using top 10 picks on second round talents because they could not afford to sign top picks. Minnesota prep-phenom Joe Maurer, for example, was only selected ahead of "Tom Seaver clone" Mark Prior due to him taking much less money to stay in state.

Point? As I remember, Calvin Murray was rated higher than he was picked out of high school and college, but all the small market franchises (which usually drafted higher) shunned him and Boros due money. Calvin could've been drafted 1st overall at least once (perhaps twice), had it not been for Boros. That's how hyped he was....Another black, over-hype job from that era was Jeffery Hammonds, a modern day Willie Mays from Stanford? He was better than Calvin Murray, but not by much!

_____________

What’s Murray’s ceiling in baseball? Passan polled scouts and found some interesting comparisons. One scout projected him as a Rickey Henderson-type first step with the potential to hit 20 home runs a season. Two scouts compared his ceiling defensively to Jackie Bradley Jr., which is elite. Though, they cautioned, his arm doesn’t play as well in baseball as Bradley’s – or as impressively as it does on the football field.

Interesting quote from a Yahoo article. Ricky Henderson comparison of course....Exactly the same as "uncle Calvin". Also, he supposedly has a "cannon arm" in football, but a Juan Pierre, Coco Crisp lollipop arm in baseball? Go figure that one out?

Thank you, Shadowlight. But, unfortunately, I can't take total credit for this. I'm merely "parroting" what an ESPN talking-head said during one of his games -- possibly West Virginia?

Spewing out superlatives regarding Murray, he had little trouble coming up with football compliments. As far as baseball, he had very little to say. So he quoted an anonymous baseball scout saying something like "he displays a thundering bat during batting practice".

Shadow, curve-balls might be the least of his problems. How about switching from "thunderous" aluminum bats to wood? Sports media flunkies only give partial Cap Cod League stats for Murray, a pitcher friendly summer league full of MLB prospects. Here are his full stats and they are not pretty, with an almost 40% strike out rate:

This is one of the worst one-sided wallopings that I've seen on the big stage. Maybe ND should recruit more crackas rather than SEC/ACC leftovers.

One good thing about this blow out loss is that the announcers can't blame Whites on this loss as the defensive backfield was horrid and the pass rush was non existent and both were devoid of Whites.

Clemson will have to be the team we hitch our wagons too. Lawrence is what a QB is supposed to be - Oklahoma and Alabama have what the media want a QB to be.
