Northwestern really turned it around in the second half. I really hope Fitzgerald stays at NW. Totally forgot about former 4 star QB Hunter Johnson who should start next season after transferring from Clemson. The Wildcats should again be a fun team in 2019.

I will follow Thorson closely during the draft process and I hope he improves his stock. He has the look of a pro QB and the tools but needs some refinement to his game.

As for Utah - Whittingham let a big time QB go this year when he played the current black quarterback over him. Nice to see that black quarterback be responsible for 4 or 5 turnovers tonight.

apparently Iowa isn’t even playing today, because all the commentators have talked about is Mississippi State. “weird.”

Just a guess but there is probably no country western music played in State 's locker room

Iowa’s Easley scores the longest touchdown of the year on a 75-yard catch-and-run, and all the commentator can say is that the MSU db would’ve caught him if he’d had a little more room to run. smh

a couple other notes:

Iowa free safety Jake Gervase has broken up 4 passes in the first half.

MSU’s lack of discipline is really costing them. they’ve had 3 personal foul penalties in the first half.

the affletic offensive tackles for MSU can’t block the two defensive ends for Iowa.

I've driven through Kentucky numerous times, I never realized that the state is 95% black. Or is the football team not representative of the population? ;) Rooting for McSorley and Penn St. As I write this, he was almost sacked for a safety by the lone white LB on Kentucky's defense. White on white crime!!

That White MLB criticized Kentuckians during the post-game press conference after their last home game of the season about the lack of support (poor attendance).

MSU run-first quarterback Fitzgerald is terrific with the ball in his hands as a runner, but he “somehow” does it without being athletic according to the announcers. apparently, he’s the only non-athletic player for the Bulldogs. coincidence, i’m sure.

“strangely,” no mention was made of Stanley’s (Iowa quarterback) speed after he ran down the MSU linebacker and saved a touchdown after having thrown an interception.

Kenny Willekes broke his ankle last night, another to add to the white injuries to end the season

and right on cue, the requisite comparison of Easley to “how the Patriots use their guys.”

Gervase with the INT. He should be another draft worthy DB along with former Iowa DB Brandon Snyder.

I dunno, a big, fast active safety with a nose for the ball and not afraid to make a hit? Nah, something not "right" about him.......

He can actually wrap up and tackle too! Yikes we can't have that in the NFL LOL.

Mississippi State with a last-gasp drive against the Hawkeyes. Tough to root against Fitzgerald, but I hate his team.

Gervase with the game sealing pass break up! Iowa defeats a very dark SEC team. Good stuff!!

...And right on cue, Gervase breaks up a 4th down pass, Iowa now in victory formation!

A smart NFL team could pick up quite a few playmakers from Iowa in the later rounds, but nah, entirely too white.

Fantastic win by Iowa. Gotta let my fingernails grow back a bit now. Northwestern's win last night and Iowa's win today makes this bowl season much better. Just wish UCF could beat LSU (while Burrow has a good game) and PSU beat Kentucky, although both seem remote possibilities at this point.
