One guy I do not believe that has been talked about here is Boise State junior Dusty Fisher. He just recently ran a wind legal 20.57 200 meters. With Teeters, Quinn and the kid from USC there are actually more than a few quality American sprinters where other then Jeremy Wariner I can only really name Kevin Little in the last 25 years. We have 4 guys actually producing pretty close to world class times.

He has been talked about before here but briefly but graduating senior from California, Zachary Shinnick, has been offered to run track by Southern Cal. . He had the fastest 100 meter time in Cali. his junior year with a 10.53 but cannot find anything else on him at this point. Southern Cal. with two really fast white guys next year. What is next? Donald Trump winning the presidency? Oh .... wait a minute.

For Zachary Shinnick I can only find these results for 2017, he recently ran a 48.60 400m at the CIF SS prelims, his only listed 200m is a 21.71, no listed 100m results for 2017 that I can find.

Yes Sprintstar I noticed that too. What is crazy is that he ran his 10.53 last March in the first meet of the year and never got near that time again. He was named California's track and field athlete of the year. I wonder if he has been injured? I still know he is going to USC to run. BUt a 21.71 200 meters does not jibe with a 10.53 100 meters. If the guy is in shape he should be able to barely crack the 21 flat mark.

We should be talking about Shinnick in the High School thread....it was mentioned there last year that he pulled a hamstring in early April, which pretty much was the end of his season.
This season I don't know what's going on with him. He seems to have moved up to the 400m for some reason.

Hey guys. Don't forget about Kyle DeEscosfet of England. He is only 20 and he recently
ran a 10.22 wind legal. Very talented young sprinter with alot of upside. England is amazing
with the amount of talent that they produce year after year. I hope this trend continues!

it pisses me off to no end when I see the 3 men in the Prefontaine women 800m race go 1-2-3, it makes no sense for the real women in the race to even try. If the Racing world wants transgenders to race, make a category for them so it is an even playing field.....oh forgive me I forgot we are not allowed to do so as it is not PC to do so and we might hurt someone's feelings....

When Semenya first hit the world scene in 09', he/she/it was just "ugly" now that Semenya has matured and filled out the barrel chest that Semenya has is downright frightening. The other trans athlete that Semenya edged out lopes around like an aging masters class male runner.....

I agree. The transgender thing is sick. Let them have their own damn meet. They can have a parade beforehand and fly rainbow flags everywhere. Katy Perry could perform in their opeing ceremonies.

This could be a great year. Guliev is ready. Give him the right conditions, and he breaks 10.00. Tortu is amazing!! 10.15 this early and he is only 18 (white sprinters mature a little slower). Tortu made a significant jump in his indoor time this year. We're seeing the carry over. Su should beat his PB (caste buster). Lemaitre always has the potential to put something together if he can stay healthy. Teeters is floating around out there somewhere. Here we go!!

Don't forget about DeEscofet, Jan Volko, K. Harri, Kilty, Reus and others. My biggest hope is for Teeters to break through. We need a white male amercian sprinter for a change over 100 meters. That would be the ultimate caste buster. I would love to see Reus, and Kilty break 10 as they have been closer than anyone. Guliyev deserves it as well to join Lemaitre in the sub 10 & sub 20 club.

not on a formal track, but if you guys want to google "Manchester Great city games 2017" there's some really good street racing. Sally Pearson looking in good early form, Tsakounas running against Kilty and others in the 150m. Plenty of good white athletes on display

Turkey’s Ramil Guliyev impressed with a sprint double, winning the 100m in 10.16 and the 200m in 20.10, both races being into slight headwinds.

Guliyev is probably in the best shape of his career for this early in the summer. He now has run three 200 meter races this year. He has a wind aided sub 20, a 20.08 and a 20.10 into a head wind. This is quite the trifecta. I just hope he doesn't peak too soon. It's all about the world champs in a couple of months. I would love to see him get on the medal stand! I also hope he gets that elusive sub 10 this summer. He ran a 10.06 a few weeks ago.

I like to watch her sprint as well. She has all the right tools to go sub 11 and gets closer each year. The only negative about her style is she runs what I call "hunched up" very tight upper body, could be as she is so muscular. Very nice, humble young lady :)

Although muscular for the average woman, she is not as jacked as some of the darker performers that I've seen.

Shota Izuka the 25 year old Japanese 200 meter specialist ran a wind legal 10.08 100 meters on June 4th in Japan. I know it has been remarked great Japanese sprinters run only well on their own soil but it looks like he is rounding into a real force. I would love to see their 4x100 relay at the worlds this year. With Kiryu and Yamagata and whomever the 4th would be I bet a penny they could break 38 flat which no European team has ever accomplished. The weird thing is that China broke 38 last year with only 2 world class sprinters though now they have 3. Their 60 meter indoor depth was impressive this year as in the past 2 decades that I have followed track the Chinese never had one quality guy out there. I wonder if 110 high hurdler Xang Liu's success recently got the government into putting more funding for athletics? They certainly have the manpower. I wonder why India has only had a few quality long jumpers and a 400 guy I can think of.

22 year old South African , Emile Erasmus has gone from a personal best of 10.22 last year to a 10.08 last May 13th. That is awesome though the wind was 2.0. Good to see South Africa put up fast white guys like they used to. Now " darkie " Akini Simbine is the toast of the sprint world. South Africa has a real good # of black sprinters now which sucks to me. It will probably come down to Simbine or Jamaica's Yohan Blake for the 100 gold this year though I think Guliyev or Gemilli have a legit shot to sneak into the finals and maybe even bronze. Fingers crossed.
