2017 NFL Week 5

Good games by Amendola and Hogan. Pats survive but they should have put Tampa away in the third quarter!

Sam Bradford was a limited participant in practice today, the first time he's practiced in weeks. He may be able to go this weekend, which would be good news for Adam Thielen and Kyle Rudolph. Case Keenum had one great game, but isn't as consistent or polished as Bradford. Thielen's proving he will excel with just about any quarterback. Thielen, Hogan and Jordy could each finish among the top ten receivers this year, maybe even the top five.

Among the top 20 in receiving yards, there are now 6 white pass-catchers, half of whom are on the Patriots - Thielen, Ertz, Gronkowski, Hogan, Amendola, and Kelce. I'm hoping for a big game (in terms of yards) from Jordy this weekend. Jordy and Hogan lead the NFL in TD catches with 5.

The pre-game show featured 5 black males and Bill Cowher, who considers himself black. Such diversity, oi vey!

At halftime, Cowher was almost on tears when discussing Cam Newton's "sexist" comments against a female reporter, uttering the oh-so-cliched "as the father of 3 daughters, I'm (fake) outraged!" cuckholdry. His negro co-workers (Jim Brown and Deon Sanders) actually made a lot of sense, suggesting that nobody is perfect and that everyone in the news media and online is so reactionary and judgmental...but Cowher continued pouting and essentially inferred that Newton's video-based apology wasn't sincere whatsoever. Deon kept saying "Cam made a mistake and apologized, can we just move on?" To which Cowher replied: "No, actions speak louder than words, so I'll believe his apology when I see it in his actions."

What does Cowher want Newton to do at this point to make things "right?" Should Newton give the female reporter (sorry, the "victim") millions of dollars and kiss her feet in public? Maybe he could donate millions of dollars to a battered woman's shelter? Or he could create a college scholarship for underprivileged women and girls who are most "at risk" of experiencing institutionalized sexism? Kill himself?

In addition to being a cucked, SJW, Identity Politics type, Bill Cowher is also terrible football analyst. His "commentary" on CBS's "NFL Today" is less articulate and informative than something the average DWF could utter. His average remarks usually sound like: "The offense has played well, but their defense has been bad. The defense needs to play better for them to win."

Anyway, it was nice to see Hogan and Amendola carry the team. Also, good to see Brate and Humphries finally getting involved for the Bucs.

Cowher was always terrible even as a coach. There were times he made Mike Tomlin look like a genius in coaching. You may understand a black coach not making adjustments due to not being able to analyze situations properly. You don't expect a white coach to do the same unless it is Cowher.

That is why I was never surprised he has sucked as an analyst.

I really don't care what scam said - the only thing that bothers me is the double standard. Were the black analysts all that forgiving of Riley Cooper when dropped the n-bomb? Or when Incognito was accussed of bullying a 300 lb mentally soft sumo? The black analysts are looking out for one of their own so they want this forgotten as soon as possible. If it was a white player that was guilty of something as trivial as what scam is I am sure their collective response would be a little different.

Bill Cowher, Jimmy Johnson, Rex Ryan, all have been rewarded with a sinecure position they suck at as a reward for being among the most extreme Caste adherents in league history as head coaches. And Tony Romo took all of one game to run circles around Phyllis Simms as far as being an astute analyst rather than a master of simplistic analysis and Caste cliches.

I'm sure there'll be a network job waiting for Jack Del Rio after he's done coaching if he wants it.

I guess I have more of an issue with sCam's comments than others here. First off let me say my views on women fall in line with my views on race but what Newton said was ridiculous, mean spirited, and just way out of line. To think he could make a "joke" like that at a press conference either shows his extreme arrogance and hubris or his negro level of mental retardation. We're a few months away from 2018 and female sports reporters have been around ever since I can remember. They're not some novelty anymore. They've been around for all of Cam Newton's life too. So why after almost a decade of being around female sports reporters do you decide to make an insulting remark towards one of them who asked a pretty normal question? Imagine if President Trump at a press conference were asked a question about the economy by a black reporter and he replied back with,"lol we got black people asking about the economy now?". It would actually be a funny comment but it would be dumb because seeing a black white house correspondent has been a common thing for a while now, it shouldn't be but it is, just like female sports reporters.

I haven't even bothered to read Newton's comments or the context in which they were made other than the references to them on CF, because I'm not interested. I just enjoy it when two of the system's pet groups clash and one has to capitulate to the other. It's happening more and more, which portends great fun in the near future.

The female reporter asked Newton about the passing routes that his receivers were running and he started smirking and said: “It’s funny to hear a female talk about routes. Like, it’s funny.”

As Bruce mentioned, it was more perplexing than sexist because there have been female sports reporters interviewing Newton his entire life. I'm sure he secretly thinks it's silly to have women commenting on men's sports and trying to ask serious questions, which it definitely is...but his phony personality had a momentary glitch and he accidentally talked down to a protected special interest group. Now the feminists and white knights (See Cowher, Bill) are heaping hatred and judgment upon him. Funny to see...

sCam happened to say something observably accurate, so what? He's still an obnoxious jerk, but not because of this comment. Only Leftists are getting their panties in a wad and saying how awful, how terrible, how insensitive, how repugnant, how sexist! Oh, the horror!! Leftists worry themselves into a frenzy over what is not important instead of even having a clue as to what actually is. They are morally bankrupt idiots.

Remember what Nolan Nawrocki had to say about Newton before the draft? He was eviscerated by the media for it. Of course we knew he was right all along, but maybe now some DWFs might start seeing it our way too.

Under “negatives” for Newton, Nawrocki writes, “Very disingenuous — has a fake smile, comes off as very scripted and has a selfish, me-first makeup. Always knows where the cameras are and plays to them. Has an enormous ego with a sense of entitlement that continually invites trouble and makes him believe he is above the law — does not command respect from teammates and will always struggle to win a locker room . . . Lacks accountability, focus and trustworthiness — is not punctual, seeks shortcuts and sets a bad example. Immature and has had issues with authority. Not dependable.”

His failure to jump on the loose ball in the backfield in the 4th quarter of the Suprebowl fits with the whole me-first narrative about him.

Funny how you bring that up cause I totally had forgotten about it even though it happened less than 2 years ago and I watched it live. But I'll never forget what Bill Buckner did 31 years ago even though I didn't even find out about until like a decade and a half after it happened.

Someone please fill me in on the Bill Buckner thing. Who and what was that about??

  1. Buckner was with the Red Sox when he let a ground ball through his legs to lose a WS game.
John

(Sorry, I'm on my tablet and can't get rid of the 1.)

Ok, yes. I remember that now. Thank you, sir.

Well Buckner's folly is always brought up all the time while Newton not jumping on the ball has never been brought up. I can only remember it once being brought up and it was to point out how poorly he has played since then.

Buckner was a great baseball player with a long and successful career, but the only thing he's remembered for is that one error. Newton is a mediocre quarterback who is only remembered (by DWFs) for his one good season in 2015, as if all his bad seasons didn't exist. His failure to jump on that ball (AKA "he dindu nuffins")? Forgotten. Could it have something to do with the fact that Newton is black and Buckner is White? #BlackPrivilege

NFL Network trying to figure out what’s wrong with the Dallas Cowboys. The consensus is with the retirement of Doug Free and Ron Leary leaving as a free agent, the o-line is no longer dominant. They plugged in two non-descript sumos on the right side of the line. Also, they are not getting the ball to Cole Beasley because Dak’s accuracy is severely compromised when he is under pressure.

I can remember Doug Free being criticized quite a bit during the end of his tenure in Dallas. Glad everyone is finally seeing what the Cowboys lost. I hope the Packers go into Dallas and hand the Cowboys another loss. BSPN will go into Dak meltdown mode.

Hoping for the Browns to lay another turd with their black privilege black quarterback. The Jets aren't much better but anything to push the Browns to 0-5 and Clueless Hue closer to being fired would be nice.

The 49ers should get a win today against the hapless Colts.

Dalton looks to be back on track, the Bengals should take care of the Bills.

The game of the day for me is the Seahawks - Rams. I hope Goff keeps rolling and has a great game against Pete's Plantation.

I'm hoping for the injury-riddled Ravens to knock off Black Jack's Black Panthers. Blocking tight end Lee Smith will be the only starting paleface on that team where just about everyone kneeled for the national anthem. Oakland's o-line was supposed to be the best in the league but has looked pretty bad, including maybe throwing a game. Let the implosion continue behind the immortal E. J. Manuel!

I hope the Raiders implode this year. They have all the ingredients to go full Tom Iron. I feel bad for Carr who decided to sign a long term deal to stay with the Raiders.

It's becoming more clear that Dallas's success last year was due not to Dak but to the high quality of his teammates. Which us here at CF knew.
