I didn't see anybody mention that Nick O'Leary, in for the injured Clay, was Buffalo's leading receiver yesterday.

Did the Vikings start 12 white players tonight? 8 on offense, 4 on defense?
I'm hoping Nick O'Leary's decent game on Sunday bodes well for his future and as another White TE we can cheer on. He certainly has the athleticism and skill to do great things...he's just stuck with Taylor at the QB helm...for now, at least. Two tight ends had breakout games -- George Kittle, mentioned earlier in the thread, finished 7/83/1. Tyler Higbee finished tied for 8th in receiving yards in Week 5 with 98 on just 4 catches. It's great to see Higbee coming on. Travis Kelce also had 98 yards before leaving with a concussion. Kittle finished 14th in receiving yards, Amendola and Hogan finished 17th and 18th with 77 and 74 yards respectively. Cameron Brate finished 21st with 68 yards, so that's 6 overachievers in the top 21 this week.
Zach Zenner and Christian McCaffrey are the first white running backs to score TD's for their respective teams in the same game since Frank Gifford and Paul Hornung in 1962. Ha ha, I made that up, I'm sure Ed Podalak and Marv Hubbard scored together in a classic Raiders-Chiefs tilt in the 70's. Maybe Mike Alstott and some random fullback scored together? Peyton Hillis and Danny Woodhead? I'm sure it's been a while though.
In a way it's good that Stewart not McCaffrey was getting stone walled on the ground. I'm trying to stay patient. McCaffrey is still putting up decent fantasy numbers and it seems the team likes to use him so eventually Stewart is going to get banged up and they will give Christian a shot. As far as Zach Zenner is concerned I'm staying positive there too. He's got talent and breaks off some good runs. Too bad his 20 yd. gain was cancelled by a penalty. (if I had a buck for every time a white RB had good gains cancelled out due to penalty.....), the Lions backs are injury prone, so he should get a shot too.
I like the prediction on Abbederis too. I hadn't thought about it but the Lions receiving core is not very good. Tate is their number 1 and he's a small guy. They need someone with size to stretch the field. They drafted a guy that will get a million chances but there may be room for Abbederis in the mix. Here's hoping.
I had to look it up, but it WAS Peyton Hillis and Danny Woodhead, four years ago when the Chargers and Giants last played each other (before this year).
I truly believe Abbrederis and M.mcCaffrey could be the next guys up!There was something ominous about this past week following up last week which wasn't very good either. Sure some of the teams I was rooting for won although the Rams lost to Seattle stung but I get on edge when black skill players put up huge numbers and the white skill players are relegated to mediocre overall numbers. Cry baby Antonio Brown got "his" numbers but justice was served as the Steelers got trounced. Him and Big Ben were at odds over the Anthem among other things of late and it doesn't take a genius to figure out which side that prick Brown was on when it came to taking a knee. Brown is the epitome of the selfish black ******* athlete.
As mentioned above Jordy was held out of the Packers final drive with an undisclosed injury. Not overly serious but just another nail in a coffin that is starting to rev up again when it comes to white WR's. Treading water right now with the white WR situation when all of us here were expecting better things. That said when the cupboard is bare it never hurts to try and find the slightest of silver linings as DS does in his post regarding Max M and Jared A.
I am on record saying I CHEER when the black skill players go down with serious leg injuries ( I draw the line on the head stuff) so I am pleased a few high profile black guys went down for the count. However last night as top TE/WR Travis Kelce was on his way to what looked like an EPIC night he was skulled in the head ON PURPOSE by Houston DB Marcus Gilchrist. Kelce suffered a concussion and that was the icing on the sinister cake where I start getting paranoid that the league is trying to reconfigure things so that the pass catchers and heroes on Sunday are nearly all black. Yet another in a LONG LINE of examples of a black player delivering a vicious head shot to a white pass catching star who is playing "too well" for their liking. As if to say this is "our ( meaning black) position white player." Once again we might find ourselves right back where we started in terms of black/white WR ratios that we saw in the late 90's and much of the early 2000's. Things are bad enough . I do not want to see a step back to that era. We need to see players gaining close to 100 yards in games. Not the 4 catches for 41 yards kind of thing we have seen lately. A few bright spots but I reckon everyone here at caste is not satisfied with the white WR status as of week 5.
Starting tonight with Thielen we desperately need more explosive numbers from the WR position.
Brian Robison also plays close to starter mins!8 on offense, 3 on defense -- Gedeon, Smith and Sendejo.
