What little I watched of the game it seemed Munson was assignment sure. Gruden did rip on that left tackle for being a penalty machine, but I'm sure he looks like a football player with his shirt off.

Can't remember the last time I didn't watch even a piece of a Monday Night game but I did not even take a peak. Did feel a little guilty about not tuning into Gruden who I respect but these two teams make me sick. The Lions haven't had much of a white presence for ages ( apart from the little bits from Zenner) and the Giants are right up there with Seattle and Oakland not to mention a few others who I simply can't watch unless they are playing a team I like. Imagine a Seattle -Oakland Super Bowl? Talk about nightmare alley.
Couple of minor notes. Again until the tests come through won't know for sure but the Jordy injury does not seem serious. Saints DE Trey Hendrickson is in the same boat--nothing serious.
On a down note but not unexpected athletic speedster WR Riley McCarron was cut from Houston. Their head coach O'Brien nicknamed him the "Iowa Flash" although did he also mean "in the pan?" Too bad. I am always disappointed when a white athletic stud, especially a WR, gets the boot.

I admit I am rooting for the Cowboys but I figured out a long time ago that "Zeke" Elliot is a flying turd. When he complained that he didn't get enough carries during Ohio State's loss to Michigan State back in 2015 I knew then and there he was one of those self centered jerks and what do you know that has played out ever since that game. At the time instead of reading him the riot act Coach Meyer essentially agreed with Elliot and would froth at the mouth whenever he spoke about him. Coddling a self absorbed player only encourages further bad behavior. That is why I would prefer to have a player like McCaffrey, a mature highly talented young man who understands the game does not solely revolve around him. In general I don't care for players who make a big deal about themselves. I like the modest hard working team players and would take them over the so called players with "extraordinary talent--read black" talent like Antonio Brown, Odell Beckham and Elliot etc. In baseball it isn't that I dislike Bryce Harper ( who is not all that bad of a guy) but I prefer Mike Trout who is more modest and down to earth in style. You never see Jordy Nelson bitching and whining like a baby. That is because he is a good all around person and the type of teammate that won't throw his fellow teammates under the bus.

Gronk, Hogan and Burkhead hopefully will play this week. Like Jordy, T. J. Watt is also 50-50.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Jordy Nelson (quad) is "50-50" for Week 3 against the Bengals. Nelson has avoided a serious injury, but it is still possible he is forced to miss a game. The news for Randall Cobb's shoulder injury is even better, and it does not sound like he will miss any time. Despite the scare on Sunday night, the Packers' receiver corps appears to still be intact.

Burkhead actually re-entered the game during a punt return late in the 4th quarter. He should be fully active. If Gronk and Jordy are practicing by Thursday, they should be fine. Let's hope they don't end up with worse muscle pulls after trying to play too quickly (like Woodhead).

It will be interesting to compare how many carries McCaffrey ends up getting this season to how many Elliot got as a rookie.

Chad Hansen not being used in spite of the Jets unloading almost all of their wide receivers, instead playing scrubs in front of Chad. Found this article:

The Jets are a rebuilding team. This entire year is about developing, progressing, and evaluating the young players on the roster. By the end of this season, coaches and decision makers should have an idea which guys can play a part in turning this around, and who must be replaced.

Which is why the decision to sit rookie receivers ArDarius Stewart and Chad Hansen most of Sunday's 45-20 loss to the Raiders makes little sense.

Instead of playing their third and fourth round pick, the Jets routinely trotted out Charone Peake and Jeremy Kerley after starters Robby Anderson and Jermaine Kearse. Stewart had just eight offensive snaps. Hansen two.

Peake is a special teams star who doesn't bring much to the table offensively. Kerley a 28-year-old veteran who, while competent, doesn't strike fear in a defense. The Jets know what they have in the two.

Wouldn't it be more valuable to get the rookies playing time? Watch the video above for more.

It's highly absurd that they think the likes of Peake and Kerley are better than Hansen.

Gronk and Burkhead didn't practice today, and Hogan was limited. Burkhead has a rib injury, which can sometimes take a long time to heal.

Jordy did practice today, though he's still being called iffy for Sunday. Amendola is also practicing again.

A great post on QB analysis over at Sailer's on the QB thread, about 3/4 down or more, quite long and detailed deals mainly who can pre-snap read and who cannot.
