Week 10's top performer for me was Chad Hansen, just because I was starting to think he wouldn't see enough PT to catch anything this season. Who would've thought before the season started that it would take Hansen this long to snag his first career reception!? Hansen ended with 3 rec for 33 yards vs the Bucs, and hopefully this game marks the beginning of a great career for him.

Apparently the Jets WR corps is bad-ass(hint their not), because thru over half the season they had no need to play probably their most taleted WR, with good size 6'2, 4.5 speed, and is coming off a Sr. year of college with 92 rec for 1,249 yards and 11 TD's at a Pac-12 school. The thing is the Jets WR corps is not bad-ass and is actually full of no-name scrubs. I'll take this convo to the 2017 Jets thread if anybody can explain this BS.

Wow, Brady and Burkhead as the stars in the post-game interviews on SNF. I picked the right game to watch for my first viewing of the season. We ought to really enjoy this guys. We really should appreciate such an anti-caste time as this...

Is there anything lazier and more annoying than the outdated analysis that pundits continue to get away with and use seasons after it’s relevant (namely the “vaunted” Denver D and cowboys o line)

It’s like a suburban dad using his Chinese made craftsman hammer and waxing poetically about its craftsmanship as it breaks on him while using it
Wow China was known once for their fine craftsmanship?! How long ago was this?

I doubt a white man can win a DNC primary anymore in this age of identity politics. I would expect Trump to be going up against Kamala Harris or Tulsi Gabbard in 2020 with Trump winning re-election.
I've been hearing that from a lot of people but I don't think the Democratic leadership would be foolish enough to do that. If they run anyone other than a White man they'll basically be giving the election to Trump on a platter. It'll be very refreshing though to finally get to watch a US presidential debate with two White men as the candidates. It would be the first time in 16 years

Collinsworth says "a lot of people were wondering why Belichek went out and signed Rex Burkhead because the Patriots had enough running backs." Yeah right that's why they wondered, and not because Burkhead is a white running back. Right gotcha.

Collinsworth is such an idiot. The only RB's on the Pats roster when Burkhead was signed were the undersized White and Lewis.

What hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet was that Mike Gillislee was a healthy scratch. This is an encouraging sign as Burkhead will get more carries if Gillislee is falling out of favor.

I can imagine a scenario where Tulsi Gabbard disobeys DNC leadership and wins the nomination as a rogue candidate. The SJWs will love her as all they care about is that their candidate is female and/or has brown skin. Never underestimate the Left's devotion to identify politics. Kamala Harris is really a DNC yes-woman and won't run a rogue candidacy. I see Gabbard running an alt-left inspired candidacy and trying to appeal to the Berniebots. Of course, Trump crushes the young Congresswoman from Hawaii for the win.

I'd almost forgotten about Burkhead because of his sporadic playing time and I missed most of the game. They did show some of his highlights and he does have Edelman like quicks and cuts when he has the ball in his hands.

I like to think cagey old Belichek has been holding back on him to keep him fresh for the second half of the season when so many are already wearing down.

The Hock, I was thinking the same. A fresh set of legs with the ability to do so many things. It appears that NE is gelling for the 2nd half of the season. There is no doubt that Rex will be a big part of their success.

The Broncos have imploded. Joseph was handed a solid franchise and the whole thing is falling apart on his watch.
The fact that there are so many black coaches in the NFL is probably the biggest piece of evidence we have to show that winning isn't the most important thing to NFL teams. When you hire a black coach you're handicapping yourself so much that you're basically admitting you have zero chance to win a Super Bowl. Look at this mind-numbingly idiotic play call from Clueless Hue yesterday. The media kept telling us that he's an offensive genius

Exactly. That's a great illustration of Black racism and hatred and violence toward Whites for no reason other than they hate us. Burfict is a thug c*nt. Thanks Negro Felon League...

This is Burfict trying to take out Matt Barkley's knees during a high school game and at the time they were both committed to being teammates together at USC

Even the ‘I’m NOT a racist’ DWFs here were perplexed at this move earlier this year. This guy was “runner up” when Gary Kubiak got the job two years ago (which most people took as Rooney Rule speak for we tried) and then proceeded to be in the bottom 10% of defenses when he was a DC at Miami. Ignoring all red flags elway proceeds to hire him anyway and proclaiming Vance “our guy”. It was so egregious that it almost felt as if there was an unseen hand forcing the broncos to take him as if it were their “turn” with QB or coaching diversity (though it’s not past the realm of possibility of elway being that much of a moron)

All the team needed was a solidoffensive spark (ie Kyle Shanahan) and instead they went with Vance and canned wade Phillips. This could easily be a 6-3 or 7-2 team and instead they are on the brink of some massive TNB implosion which should occur the next couple of weeks

The Carolina game tonight is HUGE. A game they SHOULD win if they are serious about moving forward. It is at home so a loss would be a big set back. As long as Kuechly stays healthy they should be able to mule their way into the playoffs. It is too bad TE Olsen isn't ready to play because he would change the dynamic of a dull and predictable offense. The coaching staff is a bit inept and truly unimaginative but Carolina has generally been a cohesive team through the years and I think one of the things that attracted CM to them was the fact that they play team ball so it isn't about individual glory despite their flaky QB. So I wouldn't get to invested in CM's individual stats. The bigger story is that the team keeps winning and I am sure if that happens CM will have chances for big moments and or games along the way and once, we hope, they make the playoffs.

I can't root for the Panthers even though Keuchly and McCaffery are on the team. Scam ruins it for me. I root for them to do well on an individual level but want Scam to continue to be mediocre.

I want Newton to basically fail and CM to bail out the team with great runs and his overall performance.

Snap counts last night vs. Denver:

Gillislee -- 0 (healthy scratch)
White -- 11
Lewis -- 21
Burkhead -- 36

One factor for Gillislee being deactivated is likely that he doesn’t play special teams and Burkhead and Bolden do. Also, Rex is far more versatile than Gillislee and his use is unpredictable because he’s a great pass-catcher and big enough to run between the tackles. Gillislee also lost a fumble against the Jets in Week #6 and was benched for the rest of the game.

The Patriot RB situation is always fluid under Belichick and while I loved seeing Rex’s usage last night, I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Gillislee.

Rex’s big night...
