One factor for Gillislee being deactivated is likely that he doesn’t play special teams and Burkhead and Bolden do. Also, Rex is far more versatile than Gillislee and his use is unpredictable because he’s a great pass-catcher and big enough to run between the tackles. Gillislee also lost a fumble against the Jets in Week #6 and was benched for the rest of the game.

The Patriot RB situation is always fluid under Belichick and while I loved seeing Rex’s usage last night, I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Gillislee.

Rex’s big night...

(((Uncle Al))) is quite subdued calling all of Rex's highlights. He starts to get excited when Rex scores, then quickly checks himself. Even Rex's punt block is called mostly with a monotone. It's one of Uncle Al's many subtle ways of calling games.

Afflete Shephard for Carolina with two drops already. Both these offenses stink.

This is Burfict trying to take out Matt Barkley's knees during a high school game and at the time they were both committed to being teammates together at USC

So he's always hated White people. So he's just an average POS from the permanent black underclass.

Newton is so retarded. He runs out of bounds and then runs into the endzone without the ball, screaming to the crowd. As if he actually did something impressive.

I cannot watch this ass, Newton. I mean not even an above average QB acting like he is best player in the league. This team is retarded.

I don't usually post much here, but I read the messages that are posted. Is it me or is it unusually quiet here tonight? I thought there would be more commentary on Christian McCaffrey or lack there of. Is everyone here in shock?

Hard to fet excited about a guy's career being ruined by a clueless team with a clueless juvenile QB.

Nah, just that CM other than the TD and play here and there, he is pretty pedestrian. He needs more touches.

Instead, Panthers other affeletic backs are having a great night.

They aren't giving McCaffrey carries because they realize Miami's defense is horrible and CM would have a huge game. Or put another way, they are giving Stewart carries because he is actually going to be able to look halfway decent against this crappy team.

I couldn't agree more. They just gave the third string RB a TD and once again CM never even got a sniff of the ball on that series! I guess I was hoping for more, but once again very disappointed!

It almost seems like they are consciously ignoring him. Gruden keeps saying they are using him as a decoy. How effective is a decoy that rarely gets the ball? On a night like tonight where the o-line is actually generating some running lanes they should be giving it to their high draft choice. Not the old man and the back ups.

Meanwhile, the DWFs and BLM type fans will wonder, what has CM done so far to warrant being picked 8th overall. I know he has talent, but the Panthers are limiting him or he has had bad luck in making big plays.

Pedestrian? If I didn't know better. I would've thought McCaffrey wasn't even playing tonight. 5 touches from line of scrimmage! I probably will go back to not watching again. I'll just read CF's posts for information.

I remember 3 yrs ago. Brian Leonard was the starting RB for a team I can not remember at this time. He went out for series and some black scrub RB has a career night. Leonard's time as a starter and in the NFL were effectively over. Really bummed CM did not do more.
