2017 NFL Preseason Thread

After the devastating Edelman injury we need all the good news that we can find. While I would be surprised if Reilly makes the Bill's roster I was unaware of how well he had been performing this preseason. They should keep him. I have always liked Reilly and could never figure out why scouts ignored him. He has the size, athleticism and speed to play in the NFL but I guess the scouts felt he was too raw. Not so much hands but route running was a touch rudimentary but nothing great coaching couldn't straighten out. In some ways he reminds me of Chris Hogan. Under the right circumstances he could blossom like Hogan and become an exciting fixture in the NFL. First he has to make the team. I know we have a WR thread and it would be nice if someone like Sapient etc. could give us a mid preseason update on the status of white WR's as we head towards the dreaded cuts.

Watching Bears vs Titans now.. Glennon did look good as yall mentioned. Trubisky is gonna have to wait his turn. Think Braverman's a long shot now unfortunately from what ive been hearing. Tanner Gentry seems to have taken Braverman's position as "token" white WR. Gentry is on the field now, lets see what he can do.

Nate Stupar may have wrecked his hamstring last night. I'm hoping it is not a tear. He is not penciled in as a starter, but figured to play in relief, he is damn good at it. I hate to say it, he is terrific on special teams. Bryan Braham may have walked into a fortunate situation this week. If he has shot at making the Saints team, it will be because of his special teams play and he did that well last night.

Happy to see Gentry performing well!

QB Taylor Heinicke led a game winning drive culminating with him running the ball in for a two point conversion. Heinicke looked good passing while rolling out.

His performance tonight may have earned him a spot on someone's roster this year.

Heinicke was an undrafted free agent in 2015.

Super-thug Vontaze Burfict, he of the 5.10 40 time at the 2012 NFL Combine, has been suspended five games for his hit on Anthony Sherman. Burfict's suspension is that severe because he is a repeat offender, accumulating nearly 300k in fines thus far. He knocked Antonio Brown out cold in a playoff game a couple seasons ago, one of the reasons Marvin X's boys gave away a sure win to the Steelers at the end of the game, so he doesn't specialize solely in going after White players, unlike Ndamukong Suh, all of whose dirty hits have been on White players. Here's his hit on Sherman:

Of course the Bengals will support that *******. They drafted Joe Mixon and keep Pacman jones employed.

DWFs and SJWs are busy attempting to rationalize Burfict's dirty hit. According to them, he dindu nuffins.

The Washington Times said today that the recently acquired Terrelle Pryor has been targeted seven times in the preseason and has an impressively terrible two receptions and four drops. It will be interesting to see if after this horrendous performance he survives the cut from 90 to 53.

Yes, he will survive the cut base on the "myffic" upside he possesses. He has about 2 more years of it.

Pryor had 77 receptions and over 1,000 yards last year with Cleveland, he's hardly in danger of being cut. Josh Doctson is the receiver who drives Jay Gruden crazy, being perpetually injured since being drafted in the first round last year.

I also have to give Terrelle Pryor some credit, as he somehow achieved a 1,000 yard season while catching passes from 5 different QB's (Kessler, McCown, RGIII, Whitehurst, and Hogan) last year in Cleveland. With Cousins at the helm, he and black smurf, Jamison Crowder, should flourish in Gruden's pass-first offense this year. As usual, the Redskins won't have a single white pass-catcher or rusher this season. All of their WR's, RB's, and even their TE's are all black. They do have some white quality white defenders, though.

Pryor was touted as a big free agent signing - like Don and Westside said - he is not going anywhere for awhile.

Among several annoying personal traits I have is the terrible habit of bitching about the weather. Then again so do many people I know. Perhaps this Houston deluge could set me straight and keep my mouth shut about gee" it is too humid today." Sounds pretty damn pansy like in retrospect when you think about what Houston is going through. A little perspective is good for the soul.
Then again that won't stop me from shooting my mouth off. Ha. Ryan Switzer, a caste favorite here has finally been cleared to play in the Thursday matchup against the you guessed it Houston Texans. Well the game has been canceled which means Switzer has yet to play and will have to wait until the season starts to strut his stuff. But back to my main point that is not important in the scheme of things. Still it is a rare day when a rookie does not have a chance to get his feet wet before the real season starts but it was meant to be.

At least all their QBs are white. The whole team is so black though, even the offensive line is getting darker. And Trent Murphy is out for the year. Hopefully Matt Ioannidis makes the team. After two seasons of heading in the right direction, owner Dan Snyder did his usual job of sabotaging his team by firing the man most responsible for the turnaround, General Manager Scott McCloughan. I really want Cousins and Kerrigan to do well, but I am thinking the Skins will be about 6-10 this year, down from 8-7-1 last year.

Snyder is an insane tribesman. Kirk Cousins will suffer professionally because of him.
