Yea that Currie injury looked bad. He was playing well too.

I only just realised Tank Carder was white when you said that aha (I don't see much of the Browns, in Australia we have limited TV access to three games a week so understandably they have the three biggest match-ups they can) - good to see he's listed as starter at MLB! Hopefully he and the very good Schobert can start and Nassib and Currie get heavy rotational roles (both listed as two-deep backups). I'd say the Browns could be on the up...but they just heavily overdrafted three overhyped, overupside affletes in the first round and have blacks as head coach and GM, so they probably won't be going anywhere fast unless Osweiller or Kessler are allowed to play and can hit their potential that we know exists.

Tank Carder out for the year with a torn ACL. At least Joe Schobert is currently projected to replace him as Cleveland's starting MLB.

Not really any sort of earth shattering news but the Cardinals named Drew Stanton as the number 2 QB over Blaine Gabbert. I have a hard time believing that Stanton is better than Gabbert at this juncture. I thought Gabbert showed well this preseason and he is still a young QB with alot of the requisite tools to succeed. The Cardinals handling of their QB situation as Palmer nears the end of the line continues to baffle me.

The Cardinals have a weird liking for Stanton. He has a lifetime quarterback rating of 66 and the last two seasons he saw action he played very badly.

Gabbert is a better choice.

As if the aptly named browns couldn't get more nauseating this week, they just basically named Deshone Kizer the starting QB For this weeks game which means it's basically his if he has a QB rating above 40 and doesn't get injured

Yea another huge black quarterback push is going on right now in the league - it's not just a top down approach but every year more and more black quarterbacks fill out depth charts.

I watched most of that Giants-Browns game and the two backup qbs for the giants were both black with rookie Davis Webb getting no game action.

Before we know it Tom Savage will be out of a job because of dat upside as will Alex Smith in KC.

Luckily next year's group of prospects may be able to help our cause with Rudolph, Falk and Mayfield coming out after their senior year and potential early entrants like Darnold and Allen.

Kessler was given no chance in Cleveland.

Zach Line reduced to fighting John Kuhn for crumbs as a blocking fullback. He should have been a power back in the NFL. Dwid made a short highlight film of Line a few years back, he had a lot of other highlights not shown in this video during his great career at SMU, where he had 4,185 rushing yards (5.4 ypc average) and 47 touchdowns.

Saints signed FB Zach Line. Line spent the last two years as Adian Peterson's lead blocker in Minnesota. He had offseason hip surgery, but is fully recovered. With John Kuhn the favorite for fullback duties, Line is likely just training camp depth.

I hope whatever is bothering Rex is very minor, especially now that Gillislee is healthy.

Burkhead (undisclosed) missed practice Tuesday and Wednesday, making him unlikely to play in Friday's preseason game against the Lions, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. Burkhead had 70 scrimmage yards and a touchdown Saturday against Houston, but he apparently came out of the preseason game with some kind of injury. Meanwhile, Mike Gillislee (hamstring) returned to full participation at Tuesday's practice, potentially setting him up to feature in Friday's matchup with Detroit.

How is Zach Line a FA until today yet Matt Asiata was signed by the Lions in the offseason? Oh yea the CASTE SYSTEM

Sad to watch. I saw most of his games...Such a monster.....His measurables were similar to Asiata's without the college production.......Basically holds all SMU records alongside Dickerson........

Kupp is out this weekend with a groin.........
Hopefully he'll be ready in 2 weeks.....

Just saw that Edlman left with a non-contact knee injury...damn! Hopefully it's not as bad as it looked.

Hogan with 70 yards and 2 touchdowns. Amendola with a few catches. Edelman was tearing it up before the knee injury.

For the Lions, Abbrederis had a touchdown catch. Hope he makes the team but Jace Billingsley is also competing for a spot.

In the other game, Alex Smith looks good but his receivers (Kelse was guilty too) have been dropping passes. On D, Daniel Sorensen is all over the field.

Tough weeks for our skill players.

Edelman may have suffered a serious knee injury tonight in a meaningless game. He grabbed the outside of his knee, which means it could be a meniscus tear. Could also be a dreaded ligament tear. He jumped up and jogged off the field immediately...but so did Jordy Nelson after his ACL tear in the 2015 pre-season. Not good.

Burkhead and Woodhead are both missing practices with injuries.

Kupp with a groin injury.
