The Combine invites have been announced. Huge snubs at first glance are QB Chad Kelly, DE Hunter Dmick, WR Tanner Gentry amongst other white WRs, several d-linemen (Ivey. O'Connor), several white DBs - Steelhammer, Musso (only one was invited.)

There could of been at least 10 white WRs invited - only 5 were invited. 5 White DBs could of been invited only one was.

330 total players invited and only 59 are white. What a crock of ****.

Between 50-60 players is the magical number of whites that seem to be drafted each year and once again the NFL is doing its best to filter out white players. It amazes me that no one else picks up on the obvious trend of capping white players invited to the combine/drafted.

The way the number of Whites drafted each year never varies from the same basic percentage, defies all odds of probability and proves that the NFL fine-tunes the Caste System. The whole scouting/recruiting/Combine/drafting racket is the heart and guts of the Caste System and needs to somehow be widely exposed and discredited, otherwise players like J.J. Watt, Jordy Nelson and Christian McCaffrey will always be regarded by DWFs as nothing but rare exceptions to the rule that blacks are better athletes and better football players.

I could rant all day about the players who were spurned because of their skin color. The only thing we can hang our hats on is that a few of these guys will get noticed by a team at their pro day and be a udfa signing. That seems to be the way our guys get into the league anyways - Zenner, Humphries, Amendola etc.

At least the depth and quality of our guys at safety and wr is deeper than in the last few years.

59 non special team white invites for the combine is extra low. Last year it was 72, and similar numbers to that in other years. Bright spots are 5 WR's invited, downside among other things is low amount of tight ends, and D-linemen, and of course DB's.

I notice in your comments when posting articles you subtly acknowledge the fact that white prospects don't get the recognition they should. Just wondering if you deal with NFL scouts and they acknowledge that white athletes at skill positions are purposely ignored due to being white. I also wonder if they might by chance acknowledge that the NFLs lack of fundamentals and over-reliance on the combine has led to an increasingly bad product on the field.

Yep I realize they are all white and yep I totally believe that both the NFL and NCAA go out of their way to ignore white athletes. You are the only draft resource who seems to acknowledge it.

Doug, glad you enjoy the site.

As far as how we do things, we honestly try to treat all these athletes fairly. So we are not big fans of stereotypes. Whether is be negative stereotypes of white players or African-American players. If a prospect has great size/speed and athletic ability, that's how we see them. Not through a racial lens.

As far as scouts telling us things, no scout that is connected to an N.F.L. team, has ever even hinted at them being biased against white athletes or any others. None would ever do that. However, to be honest with you, many agents (even big time agents) have complained to us that their white players/clients (particularly WR's) are not being judged fairly or are negatively stereotyped be the media and even some scouts. We even have had some black agents, with white clients, complain about this.

As far as the articles we post/blog, I don't have much time to each day to post, so I do a generic net search to find articles....whatever comes up, we post. It would be way too hard and time consuming to search for articles of any individual players. Outside of Musso and Mauldhart, I believe I've posted articles regarding all the players you listed..
By the way, speaking to someone over the summer that is an actual scout, I can tell you Kupp and Gerry came into the season much more highly regarded by real pro scouts, than most fake Internet scouts.

One thing I noticed about Cosell is he misuses big words that he doesn't quite know the meaning of. Probably a tactic to make him seem more intelligent than he really is.

I don't think we should get our hopes up this year in terms of overall numbers. I think if we hit 50 white players drafted it will be a miracle. This draft is looking to be a repeat of 2015 IMO.

Was meaning to comment that a lot of times Real Scout evaluations differ than there un-athletic (internet scouts) journalist schmucks! No surprise! Last year had posted an very favorable article here on CF abt Nate Gerry being a Higher Draft pick from legit Scouts. Fact that less than 80 white players selected is a joke!

If there are such many quality white players, but NFL Draft goes as usual, does that mean white friendly teams can make more smart moves by signing them after the draft? could be a steal.
Edelman talked on the show that there were 10 teams waiting to sign him (Packers might be his team if not being selected), this means some teams still wise enough to pick quality white, a good bargain?

I hate caste announcers. I finally got to watching some wr Chad Hansen highlights and early on Hansen catches a short pass ( I think against Hawaii ) at their 45 and just sprints past two defenders and splits 3 more and long strides it ( I mean silky smooth strides ) and runs into the end zone untouched.
As Hansen shows off this incredible acceleration you can see how athletic the move was and you can hear the crowd start to " wow " scream and the announcer says " and Tre Watson " in for the .... wait it's Hansen , " Chad Hansen. Come on! The move was so athletic they assumed it was the black guy. Not the blue-collar high-motor guy with good hands and who had to walk on despite being all state. Ridiculous.
On the plus side as I have never seen the kid play before he reminds me of a cross between Ricky Proehl and Terrel Owens. The receiver Owens not the petulant little baby.

WOOOOOOWWWWW. Just finished the 2016 Hansen highlight real. He makes Julio Jones on the acrobatic catches look like Elmer Fudd. This kid is fantastic. I seriously am speechless. Cooper Kupp will go higher but this kid is a top 15 pick. Race should have nothing to do with this one. The announcers ( rightly so ) routinely kept praising him and I don't mean softly. Just breathtaking stuff. The fact that the kid can run after the catch and juke corners on a regular basis also helps. Some people may be grousing about the lack of whites in the draft this year but maybe we should focus on the quality and not the quantity this year. With McCaffrey, Kupp, Hansen, and Switzer plus many more it is going to be a very pleasant April me thinks.

One last question. How long is it before wr's Trent Taylor and Ryan Switzer get compared to Cole Beasley? Beasley is great but Switzer is a McCaffrey clone skill-set wise just on the diminutive side. I know a lot about Taylor but L. Tech ain't much on ESPN if you get my drift.

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline notes that FAU DL Trey Hendrickson's East-West Shrine Game weight of 255 pounds was in part due to a stomach virus.

Now that Hendrickson has drunk his OJ and taken his vitamin C, it looks like he has begun to put back on healthy weight. Pauline passes along that he is training at 264 pounds, now. The belief is that he has the frame to play at 275 pounds without losing athleticism. As for his athletic chops, Pauline notes that he has been running the 40-yard dash in the low 4.6's and has put forth a vertical jump of more than 37 inches. He is also expected to be able to heft it 25 times (at least) on the bench press at the NFL Scouting Combine. He already impressed during East-West Shrine Game practices (even while battling illness) and further strong work at the Combine could push him into the late Day 3
conversation.

Hendrickson isn't some late round flyer. His production, shrine game and expected good workout numbers at the combine should put him as a 3rd rounder at the latest. I'd love to knock out the *** writers at weenieworld.

McCaffrey, Switzer, Henson and Kupp just to start make this one of the most exciting drafts for me in decades. I look at the talent that these 4 guys have and I struggle to see how they cannot become stars on Sundays if given a fair chance. Many of our guys have been screwed over for too many years. This hopefully will be the year of these explosive playmakers. Any team would be lucky to have the services of this fearsome foursome.

I'm excited about many other players too but this group has elite athletecism that you don't see everyday! April cannot

I am going to try to remain optimistic here, but from a playmaking ability perspective, the year 2017 might have the most white players I have ever seen (note that I am only 30 years old) at the skill positions. Below you may find a hypothetical 2017 list of our guys at the skill positions. I am only going to set the bar for six rookie WRs and 2 rookie DBs to be on a NFL roster come opening day. The list below was something I generated quickly, so I'm sure I'm missing some current active players:

* If you add the WR total #s to the total # of great catching White TEs (including rookies such as Jake Butt, George Kittle, etc.), then we might have anywhere from 35-40 white men catching a pass in 2017.

Now I'm sure that most of the rookies will have to serve some sort of a racial apprenticeship, but hey, for fans who grew up watching this game in the 90s, I like to believe that there is small progress being made at the skill position level.

That's an interesting point, it's probably been discussed in depth on here before but I'm relatively new and haven't come across it yet - is it better to have a few really white and successful teams (as we've seen with the Pats and Packers), or to have them a bit spread out across many teams?

Some teams (raiders, steelers, seahawks, etc) could use a guy (or many) like McCaffrey or Kupp to make them a little more palatable, but of course those teams may draft them and then not use them based on race (or even make them change positions). It's an interesting this-or-that.

I think we should atleast have a white skill player on every team. But McCaffrey going to the Raiders, or Seahawks, Hell no that would most likely destroy his career.
