Some more WTF analysis from Weenieworld

Sporting News' Eric Galko has heard the Lions are interested in adding a TE early in the draft.

Galko suggests an addition to the position within the top two rounds. Eric Ebron has one year left on his base rookie contract, but the tight end's initial evaluation was based on mythical athleticism that, in reality, does not exist. He has not grown into the top 10 pick the Lions were hoping for. Even if they keep Ebron, two tight end sets can be a priority for teams hoping to create a mismatch.

This is what they wrote back during the 2014 draft:

Lions selected North Carolina TE Eric Ebron with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft.
Ebron (6-foot-4, 250) became a starter as a 19-year-old true sophomore for the Tar Heels, going on to catch 112 career passes for 1,805 yards (16.1 YPR) and eight touchdowns. We'd prefer better red-zone production, but Ebron's upside is arguably on Vernon Davis' level with 33 1/4-inch arms, 4.6-flat jets and a 10-foot broad jump. Ebron projects as a seam-stretching, playmaking "move" tight end with future fantasy TE1 potential (though not in 2014). The Lions, who re-signed Brandon Pettigrew for four years and $16 million in March, are officially a two-TE team, and loading up on weapons for Matthew Stafford after getting caught short the past two seasons. Thu, May 8, 2014 09:15:00 PM

FYI Vernon Davis has never had a 1000 yard season and is career has been in decline for several years now.

During the 2014 draft I posted that Ebron was a stupid pick for the Lions and that he would be a bust.

I was right.

The ***** QB draft of 2017 can't end soon enough. Now the mulatto mahomes is getting hyped up as well. Remember Davis Webb played in the same system, lost his job due to injury and Cuck Kingsbury never allowed him to get the job back. Webb went onto Cal and had a great senior season but due to the mulattos melanin he is being hyped up now.

Appearing on the Setting the Edge Podcast, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport revealed some NFL evaluators consider Texas Tech's Patrick Mahomes as the top QB in the draft.

The hosts of the podcast suggested Mahomes might be a pick for the Cardinals in the second round, with Rapoport interjecting "if he makes it to round two." The first round quarterback discussion largely centered around Deshaun Watson, Mitch Trubisky and DeShone Kizer, but it might be time to throw Mahomes' name in the hat. Mahomes is a completely unique player, so some teams will fall in love and others will rank him outside of the top five prospects at the position.

And Watson is being compared to Jameezzz and Prescott who again are two QBs who are flashes in the pan and in Jameez's case a turn over machine. I guess I buy that comparison because Watson was a turnover machine last year as well:

An AFC college scouting director says Clemson QB Deshaun Watson's "confidence and competitiveness reminds me a lot of Jameis Winston and Dak Prescott."

"He loves the bright lights and a big stage," the scouting director said. "He plays better when things are on the line. At the end of the day, that stuff matters. ... We all want to win and the franchise quarterback needs to believe that he can get it done. Watson believes he is that guy." An AFC scout also quoted in the NFL.com piece echoed some of the same points: "The kid is a winner. He has the arm strength and all of the tools to be an effective pocket passer but he needs to be reprogrammed after being used as a dual-threat QB at Clemson. Sure, it worked out for him and the team because they won the national title, but it sets him back it a bit as an NFL quarterback. ... I couldn't (pick him) in the first round because I think he needs some time and the right situation. If he is surrounded by a strong running game and solid supporting cast, he can win at a high level. I just don't think he is a 'plug-and-play' quarterback."

It would be awesome if the Packers or Patriots get Christian McCaffrey as they are white friendly teams.
I would prefer the Packs. I think the patriots actually have enough white skill position players. It would be better if our white skill players were more spread out through teams.

Yes. You're right. There has already been a lot of chatter about the Pats being the whitest team. Some of it became very extreme after the Super Bowl, e.g., Trump wanted them to win and all that crap.

It's interesting, Wiki lists Max McCaffrey (Christian's older, faster wide receiver brother) as being on the Packer's roster.

Combine invites are slowly trickling out but I have yet to see the consolidated list anywhere. I did see the breakdown of players by conference and all SEC players - 66 total of which 8 are white.

Agreed. I think Christian would fit the role of White, the NE scat back who came up big in the SB. Christian would be perfect for the Packers.

That's an interesting point, it's probably been discussed in depth on here before but I'm relatively new and haven't come across it yet - is it better to have a few really white and successful teams (as we've seen with the Pats and Packers), or to have them a bit spread out across many teams?

Some teams (raiders, steelers, seahawks, etc) could use a guy (or many) like McCaffrey or Kupp to make them a little more palatable, but of course those teams may draft them and then not use them based on race (or even make them change positions). It's an interesting this-or-that.

I find it scary how many drunk white fans think McCaffrey should be used as a slot back. The alleged knock on him is that he is not big enough to carry a 20 to 25 carry load in the NFL. Also the DWF's say he does not run with the power of a Fournette. What the hell? Christian broke so many arm tackles the last 2 years I could not count them. As I have mentioned; he is the most elusive rb since or before Barry Sanders yet he is much faster and can receive 10 times better than Sanders ever did.
I say he can carry the load and will prove it if he can find the right team preferably with a zone blocking scheme he will thrive.

Fournette was made of glass last year. I still remember Leo Musso knocking him out of the first game of the season!

I have seen a lot of comparisons between Mccaffrey and Brian Westbrook. I personally think that is a great comparison because Westbrook was the main cog in the philly offense for several years both running and in the passing game. But yea Mccaffrey is big enough to be an every down rb - he's just white so all of the "scouts", personnel people, jock sniffing afroletic loving experts and dwfs will do their best to tear him down because he represents everything they fear.

With Christian, I'd like to see him taken by one of the few relatively White friendly teams, or at the least by a team with a lot of White o-linemen. The few White RBs drafted in recent years have gone to teams that didn't need them. The worst landing spot would be with one of the coal black teams, where McCaffrey's personality will be in sharp contrast to the typical black dominated locker room. Exhibit A remains Matt Jones, who was taken by the blackest team in the league in 2005 and then openly ridiculed by his teammates and even his head coach (Black Jack Del Rio) because his laid back personality didn't "mesh" with his loudmouth, all-black teammates.

I wouldn't mind seeing McCaffrey go to some certain teams that are not the Pats or the Packers. That to me would represent a small victory as the anti-white bias against white skill position players is SLOWLY eroding. Depending on what happens during free agency some other teams I would not mind seeing draft him would be (this is all based on hypotheticals):

- Redskins - their RB corp is the poster child for black privilege and the caste system in the NFL. He could step right in as a day 1 starter and instant impact maker. Cousins (if he stays) will utilize Christian a ton.
- Jets - this is a team that is going to clean house - depending on who they bring in at QB (Romo, Cutler, Glennon) and how they draft I feel Christian would be a good fit here as well. Bowles does not strike me as an overtly racist coach, I think he is in over his head and the black shitheads on the roster have alot to do with it.
- Jags - I know Toby was screwed over in Jacksonville but after learning more about Marrone from his tenure in Buffalo I have to think he would be the "player friendly aka mini-plantation Pete that Gus Bradley was". The Jags running game was a big joke last year - Yeldon is a bust but no one will admit it, Chris Ivory is a hard physical runner on the downside of his career so McCaffrey would be able to get touches early and than take over.
- Colts - Frank Gore is just about done and will be 34 next season, he is a guy who will get 3-4 yards but no much else, Luck as been surrounded by overrated upside laden WRs who have not developed into a quality WR corps. McCaffrey could give them the needed dimension on offense to help remove pressure from Luck.
- Eagles - They need an RB, Sproles is a good player but father time is catching up on him and the rest of their RBs suck. Wentz and McCaffrey in back to back years would be huge in terms of caste implications.

Scout compares Christian McCaffrey to Brian Westbrook

An NFC area scout, in fact, worked two McCaffrey comparisons into the same sentence.

"You know (he's going to be compared) to Marshall Faulk, but I see him more like Brian Westbrook," the scout said. "He is a change-of-pace back and a returner. He will make some plays, but I don't think he can be your No. 1 guy."

Brooks offered New England Patriots RB Dion Lewis as his own comparison for McCaffrey. An AFC senior personnel executive described McCaffrey as a bigger, faster version of Los Angeles Chargers RB Danny Woodhead, while an NFC senior personnel executive warned of a bad comparison that might also be made.

"Don't make the mistake of comparing him to Reggie Bush. I don't think he is nearly as explosive or as dynamic as Bush was when he came out of USC," the executive said. "With that being said, I think we saw how NFL teams used Bush as a pro. I think you do the same thing with McCaffrey. ... I don't see him carrying the load. I see him catching the ball out of the backfield or getting the ball on some gadgets. I might be wrong, but I just don't see him as a full-time guy."

I wouldn't get to worked up yet. Westbrook isn't a bad comparison as I mentioned a few posts back. The anonymous scouts obviously have short memories as there was probably a 3-4 year span when Westbrook was the top RB in the league (or at least top 3). Reggie Bush was a huge bust in the NFL - he did not live up to the hype (or his upside if you will) so not being compared to him is not a huge deal IMO. Bush had -3 yards rushing this past season as well. I would love to know who the NFC Senior Personnel executive is to see his track record in free agency and drafting players because he probably doesn't know **** and just plays the caste game.

Bush was toast last season or he would have been a guy who gave McCoy a breather. I can't see Bush even being offered a contract next season but that's still more than Brian Leonard got in the late stages of his career.

As for McCaffrey, WestBrook was a brilliant back around the time Philly last played in the Super Bowl. Color aside the Woodhead comparison is brain dead as McCaffrey is more dynamic at the collegiate level.

If any posters or lurkers want see what a White back who has a playing style like McCaffrey can do in the league look up Jon Arnett. Arnett is another forgotten running back who is a notch below a hall of famer but seeing some of the weaker seniors candidates he could easily be considered if these other recent ones have been elected.

Some crazy recent stuff from Draftdaddy. Before I begin I have always liked this site because it has always been pretty much favorable to the guys we root for and see things without the stereotypes and liberal BS.
WR Chad Hansen has moved up into their top 5 senior draftable wr's. They site multiple scouts pushing him up the boards of recent and a lot of them having him going no later than the third round. Cooper Kupp had moved to 2nd a few weeks ago on their list but now it third which is strange after the D1 corners he constantly burned at the senior bowl.
Corner/Safety Anthony Cioffi apparently is training like a dog to make in the NFl not as a DB but as a slot receiver. It is a long shot but I mentioned it 5 years ago but his high school highlights showed him with incredible feet and great I mean GREAT quickness. TCU wr Ty Slanina showed this same ability along with New Hampshire rb Dalton Crossan. I hope down the road they try and make the leap too.
Sam Rogers the fullback from V. Tech is being compared to Toby Gerhart by guess who???? Mel Kiper. Wow did Kiper get hit in the head by a rock by a Trump protester with bad aim? Kiper has him as a " jack of all trades " back and has him going in the fourth or fifth rounds. I know very little of Rogers but the few highlights I could find see me thinking he could be the next John Kuhn.
If we really get lucky with this draft with Kupp and McCaffrey leading the way I do agree with posters we could see at least 10 maybe even 12 wr's taken this draft. Maybe rb Kadr Harrington even makes a 53 man roster though I don't think he will be drafted. I like him and I don't but I have been wrong many times before. The best prediction I ever made was saying McCaffrey would win the Heisman as a freshman when he obviously should have had won last year.
Also Wyoming wr Jake Mauldhart is trying to make the leap to the NFL as a TE. Interesting. Tanner Gentry better get drafted. He is good enough.

The Combine invites have been announced. Huge snubs at first glance are QB Chad Kelly, DE Hunter Dmick, WR Tanner Gentry amongst other white WRs, several d-linemen (Ivey. O'Connor), several white DBs - Steelhammer, Musso (only one was invited.) Lots of blacks with african or muslim names also have infested the rankings. A large number of small school black sumos have been invited. It's the same story every year. The QB and TE invites are way too black as the NFL tries to engineer and take those two positions away from white excellence and dominance.

There could of been at least 10 white WRs invited - only 5 were invited. 5 White DBs could of been invited only one was.

330 total players invited and only 59 are white. What a crock of ****.

Between 50-60 players is the magical number of whites that seem to be drafted each year and once again the NFL is doing its best to filter out white players. It amazes me that no one else picks up on the obvious trend of capping white players invited to the combine/drafted.

So, Chad Kelly will not be invited to the combine because of off the field issues.

Ole Miss QB draws red flag from NFL teams

Black Arkansas TE was arrested for shoplifting - he committed a crime and it was against Belk which was the sponsor of the Bowl game arkansas played in and he still got an invite. Such ********. Kelly has had his run ins but was never arrested.

I am compiling a list of white players twitter accounts who have been discriminated against and let them know the score. Some will probably ignore me, others will hopefully agree with me and maybe start speaking up.

I am not sure they will ignore you as much as you think. I was able to get a few conversations in with rb Cam McDaniel, cb Daylan Hall and Wr Mark Andrews through Facebook though I don't ever do that site other than for that reason. I got a hold of a few of our other guys but they called me a racist and did not engage in any type of real dialogue. McDaniel really was a nice guy. I got a hold of a certain Akron ( current ) player who I told was going to be moved from rb to wr and he did not believe me. He caught 9 passes last year as a soph. .
