Leighton Vander Esch - wouldn't mind seeing him declare as Harstin has done nothing but darken the team around him. Vander Esch was a former walk-on - what a shock!

No kidding. Goes from 8man HS Football in rural Idaho to walk on to MWC Defensive Player of The year. To me that's upside! The rest of the caste world doesn't deem young men like him worthy of a scholarship coming outta HS.. Gotta save em for the real affletes!

Wasn't Chad Greenway a similar story? If I recall he is from one of the Dakota's and played 8 man football in HS.
 
quite a match-up in the FCS playoffs today, with two stellar White wideouts going at it: Riley Stapleton of the defending champs from JMU vs. Jake Wieneke and the SDSU Jackrabbits. both have been uncoverable in recent weeks. Stapleton already has 2 td catches and Wieneke has 1.

I've been watching the free UFC Card on FS1. Our guy's having a good night in caste match ups!

Any updates on that FCS semifinal? Looks like Boise St. Handled Oregon and Vander Esch along with Rypien and Wolpin were huge part of success. Noticed Broncos poly dbs played well for them.
 
Yeah Leighton Vander Esch was a rock star out there..announcers raved abt the Former Walk-on at 6'-4" 240 that played 8 on 8 in HS ....even has his own custom travel bus built by family.
The NFL is on him now..still a Junior

Good to see Wolphin get more carries...23 for 71 yards & 2 TD's... ex DB Brenden Schooler caught a TD for Oregon. The Ducks looked bad..Royce Freeman decide to sit out the game; the rest of the team seemed to follow with lackadaisical play.

Michael Lawrence led North Texas w 6 receptions for 70 yards & TD & LB Colton McDonald had a 56 yard TD on Fumble recovery.

Troy QB Brandon Silvers threw for 305 yards & 4 TD's + TD Rushing
Arkansas St QB Justice Hansen threw for 337 yards; 3 TD's + TD Rushing
Colorado St. QB Nick Stevens threw for 320 yards & 2 TD's

In the Esch article linked to a NFL scout used the term "upside" to describe Esch. I'm calling for Robert Mueller and the MSM to work together to uncover the identity of that scout and then ruin his career as a scout.

NICE STORY! Just showed D-3 Texas Lutheran transfer (Walk-on) DB for Texas Tech Justus Parker...being a Patriots fan Danny Amendola was on video giving the team a Pep Talk; then camera shifted over the Gronkowski saying "Congrats Justus you just Earned a Scholarship"...the team erupted; happy for him!

CMU DE Joe Ostman & Wyoming DB Andrew Wingard should be Starters in the NFL one day.
CMU TE (ex basketball player) Conklin should get a look in the NFL too

Dylan Cantrell TD... announcer said "when he was in 2nd Grade teacher asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up"? Cantrell said "i want to play in the NFL "....his teacher "Laughed"....announcers said "We'll see who's laughing now"! WHERE is that 2nd Grade teacher Today?? Would like to meet them!
