Leaf was AWESOME last night. Down the stretch he hit a couple of key hoops down low including a smooth as butter jump hook over NBA prospect Ivan Rabb. Bill Walton was off the wall last night. Maybe he has been ingesting some of that Grateful Dead concert (candy) but I enjoyed him just the same. When Walton was asked about the low post players on UCLA he said Leaf doesn't really have a position. He said simply the guy is a "basketball player." Which means exactly that. Not a converted tight end or whatever. He looks and moves and plays like an old fashioned guy you would see from the early 60's. None of this jungle gym steroid look or ball hog theatrics just plain and simple and easy on the eyes good ole fashioned this is how you play basketball.

What a dunk by Leaf!! Man UCLA is just a fun team to watch. Alford was on last night as well, leading the team in scoring with 24. Welsh is deadly with his jump shot, and Ball is admittedly good too. In addition to Shadowlights' Walton quote, he did say one more. His play-by-play partner tried to get him to compare Leaf to Kevin Love, and Walton denounced him (rightly) saying "Love and Leaf are two different players, Love is built more solidly, whereas Leaf is more wiry and better with the ball in his hands, so don't try comparing them."

Here's a video of Svi Mykhailiuk's game-winner over Kansas State a few nights ago:

I was watching the San Diego State/Boise State game Saturday night, and I think I found another team to root for. The Broncos started three white guys, and even had four on the court for stretches of the game. Even though San Diego State is a little down this year, it was fun watching them pound one of the best teams in the Mountain West the last few years in the 2nd half, with the final score finishing 78-66 in favor of the Broncos. They have a fairly balanced team, and it showed against the Aztecs, with five Broncos in double figures. Big man Zach Haney and sharpshooting guard James Reid came off the bench to lead the Broncos in scoring with 19 a piece. Senior Aussie Nick Duncan also had a nice game, with 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. Of course, opposing DWFs love making fun of Duncan (he's a bit on the heavy side), but they can suck it! Boise State also has a freshman guard starting by the name of Justinian Jessup. He should be a good one in the future. He's fairly inconsistent now, but that should change with more time.

James Reid can really shoot it from deep.

Arizona freshman Lauri Markkanen had a career high 30 points tonight...12 for 18 from the field including 4 for 7 from three point range. The crowd was chanting him name at the end of the game

What a game by the Wildcats!! Markkanen will definitely be in the NBA one day! The dude is a future lottery pick and can do everything. He's a great athlete, at one point even guarding the Sun Devils' point guard for a series! Markkanen and his running mate Ristic are must watch basketball.

Ben Lammers was dominant again for Georgia Tech, scoring 23 points and collecting 10 boards, both game highs.

Notre Dame finished off Miami on the road in a big caste matchup for our guys. The Irish lead the ACC at 4-0! Matt Farrell had a team high 15 points, 6 assists, and 4 boards, while Steve Vasturia had the game-clinching bucket, totaling 10 points, 6 assists, and 6 rebounds.

Alec Peters had another great game with 17 points and 15 boards as Valpo destroyed Youngstown St.

Bronson Koenig had 21 points for the Badgers tonight in their blowout win over Ohio State.

Eric Mika and Nick Emery had huge games for BYU, with Mika scoring 31 points and getting 12 boards, while Emery had 22 points.

#21 St Mary's at #5 Gonzaga today. St. Mary's is 15-1. They have 12 Whites on their 15 man roster. Unheard of in Division I basketball.

If you guys can, I'd definitely recommend tuning in. St. Mary's is very fun to watch, and the Zags have a few good white players as well this year in Zach Collins, Killian Tillie, and Pzermek Karnowski.

Some results from our guys tonight:

NC State held off Pittsburgh 79-74, and the Wolfpack's two white starters played great. Guard Maverick Rowan had a season high 21 points and pulled down 5 boards, while Turkish freshman Omer Yurtseven had 12 points and 16 boards. Of course, Pitt doesn't allow white guys to play for them.

Bronson Koenig had 16 points and 4 assists while Ethan Happ added 11 points, 6 boards, 3 assists and 2 blocks to help lead Wisconsin over Michigan. Duncan Robinson had 11 and Wagner 10 for the Wolverines in a losing effort.

Ole Miss JUCO transfer Justas Furmanavicus had 15 and 9 for the Rebels in their win over Tennessee.

Isaac Haas had a team high 24 points, while adding 6 boards, 3 blocks, and 2 assists for the Boilers in their demolition of Illinois. Dakota Mathias stuffed the stat sheet with 5 points, 6 assists, 4 boards, and a block.

Really enjoying this ND Vs UVA game! At some points the Irish have had 4 white guys on the court and The Cavaliers have had a few in as well. At times between both teams it's been 50% pale faces on the court. I'm pulling for ND. Their trio of Vasturia, Farrell, and Pflueger are fun to watch!

Tuned in just in time for the 2nd half! It looks like Virginia is pulling away though, with some hot three point shooting and stifling defense. Freshman guard Ty Jerome has given the Cavs a huge lift in this game. I believe he's got 10 points thus far. As a side note, where's Kyle Guy been at? He's the one white player whom I haven't seen for Virginia yet. Their big center Salt has given Virginia some great offensive boards down low.

Some white bigs have had great games so far today:

How about Ethan Happ today?? Happ scored 32 points (over 50% of the Badgers' total) and had 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks against Rutgers today!! The Badgers had a very sluggish game, and Happ absolutely bailed them out.

Syracuse's Tyler Lydon also had a great game as the Orange handed all-black Florida State their second loss in a row, with 14 points, 11 boards, and 6 blocks.

Georgia Tech's Ben Lammers also had a nice day as the Yellow Jackets knocked off Notre Dame at home, finishing with 15 points, 10 boards, 3 assists, 3 blocks, and 1 steal.

Finally, Davidson's Peyton Aldridge had 28 points, 4 boards, and 2 assists, helping the Wildcats blow out Fordham.

Luke Kennard had a great game as Duke came back in the second half to beat Wak Forest on the road. He finished with 34 points, including 10-10 (!) in the second half and the g0-ahead 3-pointer with 6.6 seconds to play. Kennard is a beast this year.

It's now undeniable, Kennard is the Alpha of Duke basketball this year. That 2nd half he had against Wake Forest was simply incredible. Of course, the locker room filled with those 5-star "future NBA players" took a while to accept this, even trying to freeze out Kennard for a couple of games. After he saved Duke against Wake, even they have to admit who the man of the team is.

Even the media is realizing this. http://www.cbssports.com/college-ba...ccept-that-this-team-belongs-to-luke-kennard/

A missed bit from Saturday, Richmond forward TJ Cline finally got his triple-double! He had a game-high 34 points to go with 12 rebounds and 11 assists... not a bad day for the big guy!!

Villanova guard Donte DiVincenzo may have only had two points Saturday, but he made them count, tipping in a missed layup at the buzzer to give Villanova a win over Virginia! Here's the video:

To answer Leonardfan's question, Gonzaga isn't as white friendly as they have been. They have 1 white starter in Pzermek Karnowski at center, and two whites that come off the bench in freshman stud Zach Collins and versatile forward Killian Tillie.
