Laskey

RB or FB out of G Tech he has been under the radar. Even though he lined up like a FB in the option attack he is more a hybrid ie more RB than FB. Not sure if he will get drafted but based on his college career and his athletic ability he seems like a steal . Throw him in with Varga and a few others and maybe these hybrid types will start playing on NFL rosters. Kind of like the H-backs who are considered Tight Ends. Every time I saw G tech play this guy was great.

Laskey is a power back with good speed for a 225lb guy. He was royally screwed over with no all star game invites or combine invite. Anytime he played for Ga Tech he was dominant and always showed the ability to get the ball down the field.

This draft has 4 very draftable RB prospects - Varga, Zenner, Scheurman and Laskey. It would be a small victory if they all were drafted.

"Early in the 2014 season, league sources from a few teams told WalterFootball.com that Hundley was overrated. He fits in the mold of athletic quarterbacks with good arms, but really struggles with pocket passing. His lack of field vision and hanging tough against a rush to deliver a pass are real weaknesses entering the next level. However, the 6-foot-3, 226-pounder has a nice skill set. Hundley flashed pocket-passing potential at times, but he just isn't consistent. "

Sounds like a typical black quarterback afflete who's skill set won't translate to the pros.

Yea he won't do much. Stanford chewed him up last year and he quit on his team. Here is a BS blurb on him from bleacherreport:

As has been discussed beyond exhaustion here - the dual-threat QB doesn't work in the NFL. The major media outlets were even conceding this last season yet it is still listed as qualifying attribute to be a top pick.

Sean Mannion also had his pro day and apparently did very well. No bleacherreport articles on him though. Mannion was one of the most prolific passers in PAC 12 history. Hopefully his stock is rising and he can be developed behind an established starter for a few years.

UCFs JJ Worton has a chance at pros coming off an acl injury. Also might have another TE prospect. Illinois States James O'Shaughnessy had a 39td catch in national championship game.

They will both go undrafted. Shipley suffered from a bad qb situation at Texas. He was probably more talented physically than his brother who was screwed over once he go to the NFL. I think Shipley should be a 4th round pick but I try to be realistic with my draft projections rather than optimistic because every year I go into the draft with any sort of optimism it gets squashed.

Yes, poor Shipley was saddled with the immortal Tyrone Swoopes at QB. One of the worst QB's that I've ever seen at a power school. Tyrone probably cost Shipley an NFL career.

I love that. Smiff and Manuel suck it up for 2-3+ years and keep getting their chances, while Manziel is written off after a couple of sub-par quarters. They are really trying to drive white dudes away from QB.

Not to mention Manziel was limited to running plays that seemed designed to fail. Remember when he got hurt on that NAKED QB sweep around the end with NO lead blocker?

Its clearly all just a sham. If Manziel was black he would have played, been used properly, and been rookie of the year last season.

In a bit of good news Petty had a great Pro day. Mayock continues to try and talk him down saying that the offense really hinders him. He did not have that sort of criticism for Griffin or Geno smiff who both played in that same offense but did not have the size, arm strength or high character of petty.

The criticism of not having play call experience at the line of scrimmage is bogus as well. Pretty sure jameez recieved the play calls from the sideline, marioTA and oregon use that off system of poster board and pictures to get play calls etc.

i see petty as the type of qb perfect for the patriots or Eagles offense. Big, strong arm, accurate and able to make all the throws especially with so much of the offense being run out of shotgun. He compares favorably to nick Foles but with a stronger arm.

Boise St. QB Grant Hedricks ran consecutive 4.6s at his pro day. Very underrated and perhaps another guy with enough athleticism for a position switch in NFL. WR Matt Miller ran a4.7 still coming off ankle surgery. Had 34 inch vert. MSU OLB Marcus Rush impressed had a 34inch vert as well.

Miller's 40 time is disappointing but the fact he isn't at 100% and has not trained as much as he could as well as not being full strength has a lot to do with it.

ODUs Taylor Heinicke has his pro day tomorrow. Word is that he's going to put on a show. He's bulked up 6'1 215,good athlete. Video game like stats in hi s career.

Hedrick,Kelly,and Heinicke were all notable combine snubs this year! All productive athletic white QBs who had average size 6'0-6'2...

Manziel has some talent. He needs to be given a chance.

I don't see why Petty isn't being considered as a first round draft choice. If I were a quarterback needy team I'd take him in the first round. I'd sure as heck take him over Winston.

Six feet is taller than a lot of NFL running backs, and 204 pounds is about average or a little below. If he put on 10 pounds of muscle he'd be very nicely sized for a starter. Maybe he's being disingenuous or he's oblivious to the Caste System, but his size isn't why he's not being considered as a possible every down back.

Definitely selling himself short but if that's what it takes for a guy who had limited scholarship offers to play in the league so be it. Of course I'd like to see him at RB but if he makes it as a slot wr I'd be thrilled.

Totally agree. Trying to take a glass half full mindset with Ross as he has been labeled and identified as a legitimate prospect. If he converts to a slot WR or develops into a Danny Woodhead type offensive weapon I would be happy. At least he isn't saying he will bulk up to become a fullback.

Awesome! Stanford LB AJ Tarpley (6'0 232)ran a 4.69,4.11 ss and mid 30s very.

Michigan St. DE/OLB Marcus Rush (6'2 247) also ran in 4.6 range had 24 reps and 34 inch vert. Rush and Bates were combine snubs . They were stereotype d as being try hard limited athletes. However their tape and numbers show they are indeed excellent athletes.
