ND's Pat Connaughton just unleashed a 44 inch vertical at the NBA combine today. Now there is talk he will get drafted and might put pitching on the backburner--I hope so. Pitching hides athleticism whereas in basketball he gets to show it off. He is 6' 5" and I am sure all here will be rooting hard for him to play in the NBA.
This is shaping up to be one of the better drafts in recent memory with lots of great white athletes.

That's VERY impressive; in fact, it's the tied for the 2nd highest vertical leap in the combine EVER!! Connaughton has freakish athleticism and I hope he picks the NBA to show it off as well.

I'd rather see Connaughton stick with baseball. If he does basketball he will have to play a limited roll like Kurt Hienrich, and probably end up being a wigger, like Kurt Heinrich.

I would rather see him play basketball and I disagree about Kurt Heinrich being a wigger. I've never seen him act like that. Jason Williams in the past and some others but not Heinrich.

Way to go Connaugton. Could we be looking at a future Nba Slam Dunk Champion? I sure hope so. Would love to see him become
a starter somewhere.

Kurt Heinrich was interviewed by ESPN the magazine where he talked about growing up on hip-hop despite the fact that he grew up in a white area in Sioux City Iowa. Even more digusting is mudshark Dirk Nowitzski. I stopped watching basketball after seeing him with his orangoutang girlfriend.

I don't follow college or nba basketball closely but did follow ND, Gonzaga and Wisconsin.

Connaughton was visibly the most athletic player on the floor when they played the over hyped affletes of kentucky. It would be great if he was drafted and given playing time. Basketball is just as bad as football though in terms of giving white american players a fair shot and chance to develop. He is a pitcher in baseball so his athleticism wouldn't be put on display like it would be in basketball.

As for Big Frank - I expect him to get the typical good college player but doesn't translate to the nba because of all the magical affletes treatment. He could easily be a 20/10 guy in the NBA.

The overrated kentucky and Duke black underclassmen seem to be getting all the hype and they will all most likely bust or become average players in the NBA but will be propped up by BSPN for their whole careers.

The second highest vertical in NBA combine history. And they say white men can't jump. There was another guy, can't remember his name, who played for Gonzaga some years back who I believe had a 43 inch vertical. Can anyone help me with his name?

Combine stuff

For later there are three stud European athletes primed for the draft. For now Sam Dekker and Aaron White performed little under what I thought jumping 35 inches in the vertical. Probably should be listed as above average athletes NBA standards but not off the charts. Dekker is a first round pick and white probably a second.
Connaughton blew up on all the drills. Keep in mind he is a little out of shape and needs a training regiment to lose some baby fat and he still leaped over the moon!!!!! . So with that in mind and the mind boggling numbers he put up which include stellar sprint and agility times you have the best athlete in the draft or close to it. He can shoot the three and rebound. His in between game needs work. Will he become a superstar probably not? But I like the way he talks about himself, he hustles and right now it looks like he prefers basketball over baseball. If he was a centerfielder then I would not care so much which sport he chose but he is a friggen pitcher. Best case scenario is he becomes a regular high flying NBA player who finds a role ala 6th man or if he can tighten up his game even a starter.
The media has egg on its face---once again for not recognizing his leaping ability.

I'm still waiting for the day when a black athlete is called "deceptively intelligent." It won't happen because only Whites can be referred to in negative ways, no matter how inaccurate the description. At least more people seem to be catching on and objecting to it.

to see him call out that Katz fellow from espn in his tweet as well.

These little cracks appearing in the caste system are encouraging. We just need more dwfs to sober up and care about the systematic discrimination white athletes are subject to.

i like that phrase, "sober up"

On youtube etc i just say to blacks and DWF alike, why are all the long and high jumper champions white at the moment. There is no reason at all for a caste system in basktball, none what so ever.

He is off the charts athletic and the sky is the limit for this power forward. Probably has the most upside of any player in the draft. He will get an early call draft day.

Mario Hezonja

A Croat this high flying shooting guard is possibly the best pure athlete in the draft. It is tough for non white big men to emerge in American basketball with all the black ball hogs out there but hopefully with the right team etc. this super exciting player can make some big noise. He will also be called real early draft day.

Danilo Fuzaro

A new name just emerging. He is 21 from Brazil but looks all Italian. He is 6'5" and very explosive athletically. Loves to drive and dunk and some are mentioning Ginobli as a comparison. He has until June 15 to enter the draft. Word is he gave glamour boy Andrew Wiggins a tough time during a tournament. I sure and hell hope he declares.

Kristaps Porzingis has good athletic ability. He's a good shooter and plays defense well.

An NBA team would really help itself by drafting Porzingis.

There was a thread on the 2014 NBA draft and it had around 7,500 views.

So why the massive increase between this year and last year?

I think whites are becoming more racially aware and are consequently more interested in sites such as this.

I also think that because there are a number of white players that are expected to be drafted this year more interest is generated.
