2 potential 2nd round gems that CF really like are Aaron White to the Wizards and Pat Connaughton to the blazers. I think those are good spots for those guys to be utilized and developed!

Thanks for the post on White, celtic. It reminds me of something I read on ESPN.com about him on draft night. It was, "Great pick for the Wizards, he can develop nicely into a Matt Bonner type off the bench."

First off, what in the hell? This is clearly the biggest and most blatant example of comparing white players to similar white players. What do they have in common other than they have red hair? Aaron White is an athletic slashing SF who can get to the basket and also shoot the three. Matt Bonner is just a 3 point shooter. How on Earth are their games similar? I'll give you the short answer, their games are as different as can be. This idiot was probably thinking, "Hey their both white guys with red hair," they gotta have similar games!"

Well now, I'd not mind being compared to legends like Stockton, Pistol Pete, McKale, Laimbeer, Sikma, Cousey, Pettit & Bird (the greatest player of all time). :)

That is one of the most blatantly lazy and racist examples of Caste profiling I've ever seen. And I've seen alot over my years here at CF. :tsk:

Not only was racist pig Steven a Smiff disappointed at the Knicks for taking that foreign "cracka" but black panther Carmelo Anthony was furious as well. He said, "We have to wait three years for this guy. I am sure he wanted one of his bruthas.

Combine stuff

For later there are three stud European athletes primed for the draft. For now Sam Dekker and Aaron White performed little under what I thought jumping 35 inches in the vertical. Probably should be listed as above average athletes NBA standards but not off the charts. Dekker is a first round pick and White probably a second.
Connaughton blew up on all the drills. Keep in mind he is a little out of shape and needs a training regiment to lose some baby fat and he still leaped over the moon!!!!! . So with that in mind and the mind boggling numbers he put up which include stellar sprint and agility times you have the best athlete in the draft or close to it. He can shoot the three and rebound. His in between game needs work. Will he become a superstar probably not? But I like the way he talks about himself, he hustles and right now it looks like he prefers basketball over baseball. If he was a centerfielder then I would not care so much which sport he chose but he is a friggen pitcher. Best case scenario is he becomes a regular high flying NBA player who finds a role ala 6th man or if he can tighten up his game even a starter.
The media has egg on its face---once again for not recognizing his leaping ability.

Always good to go back and look at what CF had to say about players back when. I and others thought PC had what it took to become an NBA player and in this case, at least for now, things are looking up for PC. My analysis above is on target, especially the way PC has played during the second half of the year.

Sam Dekker on the other hand riddled with injuries etc. has never found his groove except for a year in Houston where he was putting up decent numbers.

CF is as good as any sports media outlet when it comes to player analysis on any sport one cares to mention. The only difference is we don't get paid. Probably at the end of the day this is the best site when it comes to talent evaluation. CF is more specific (mostly white talent discussion) but still it can stand up and often out perform other so called expert sports media outlets.

I have been wracking my brain thinking about Pat Connaughton and his recruiting. I do recall him being a late bloomer and there was talk about his athletic ability during his senior year in HS but I don't remember much else. His senior year at ND sticks out the most.

Anyway for jollies one should check the talk surrounding the 2015 NBA draft here at CF. It was one of the better drafts in recent memory.

The NBA combine is coming up next week. What the hell ever happened to Aaron White by the way? Win some lose some.

Aaron White was drafted in the 2nd round if memory serves. I believe he made the decision to play in Europe rather be a bench ornament or a G League (D League) team.

Upon looking him up, I found he’s playing in Lithuania but only putting up mediocre numbers. I hope he’s making decent money as he’d have likely been screwed over by the NBA. Can’t blame him for going straight overseas.
