Spring training has arrived. Baseball season is right around the corner. This is the second most white friendly of the major sports behind hockey.

The new commissioner seems like a moron so their won't be much hope for any change from Bud Selig.

I've been interested in seeing what kind of job new commissioner Rob Manfred is going to do. I know virtually nothing about him. In what way is he a moron?

So far he has floated the idea of banning defensive shifts and adding a clock to the game to account for the "short attention spans" of the average fan. Basically dumbing down the game for the low information fan who only cares about homeruns and big offensive numbers. In my opinion those are two integral parts of what make baseball great - the strategy aspect and the fact their is no clock.

How stupid. Any MLB player should be able to beat a shift simply by learning to hit opposite field. There's always been a shift especially against leftys. As a Lefty it's hillarious to me when guys would shift so drastically to the right when I would come to the plate. I'm more of a line drive hitter so I learned how to get my wrists around fast enough if I was jammed or wait on the breaking pitch and send the ball up Left OR Center. An inside out swing see Derek Jeter or Jon Lucroy.

Yu Darvish, signed to much hoopla and a huge contract by the Rangers a few years ago, is out for the season and will undergo Tommy John surgery on his elbow. Cliff Lee has continuing elbow problems that threaten to end his career but is trying to avoid surgery.

Starting every fifth game and throwing just 6 or 7 innings sure isn't keeping starting pitchers healthier than they used to be when 250 to 300 innings and lots of complete games was the norm for top starters.

I'm going to start doing position previews once the opening day rosters become more clear. In a typical BSPN move they are touting the all black (two are "hispanic") Pirates outfield as the best in baseball. It shouldn't come as a surprise. The city of Pittsburgh sure does seem to love it's sports teams to be as non-white as possible.

Another annoying trend is the Red Sox going all out on trying to get as many cuban players as possible. They have really done a number on what was a great majority white team for much of the 00s.

Yea, the Red Sox are definitely not a team to root for anymore. They are set to only have Pedroia and Napoli starting in the field. Just for contrast, the Yankees will start Gardner, Ellsbury, Headley, Drew, Teixeira and McCann.

The infestation of baseball by third world Latin America is something that could easily be stopped. The MLB does a great disservice to exclude college baseball players and the NCAA does nothing to work with or put pressure on Major League Baseball

The new commissioner is also pushing for an international draft that will more than likely add even more Latin players and take up more roster sports from US born white players. What a joke

Cubs have a lot of white prospects on the come up. 6'5 slugger Kris Bryant has 8 homers this spring!

Kris Bryant is a beast. He is poised to be a huge star. He is yet the next high profile white player following Trout and Harper a few years back. I'll try to do a comprehensive listing of our guys in the next week or so to watch once rosters are announced.

lol. I remember his rookie season in 2010, he hit a few homeruns early on and the media was treating him like he was Hank Aaron Jr, and apparently still are. I just checked his stats: he has a total of 84 HRs and 292 RBIs in five seasons to go with a .262 batting average. Guess he's still trying to tap his limitless upside.

It's interesting to note that the Braves traded away Heyward and the two Uptons. They overspent horribly on B.J. (Bossman Junior :help:) Upton who stole millions from the Braves (they gave him a ridiculous contract) and was all around terrible and traded for his brother Justin who is actually a pretty good ball player. Justin was traded to the Padres in December and B.J. now Melvin Upton was traded to the Padres yesterday (let's hope not to try and replace Wil Myers in CF).

Rockies up 4-0 already on he brewers. Corey Dickerson just rocked a two run homer. These boys can hit and they have white boys all through out their lineup!

Only 1 non-White (Carlos Gonzalez) in the starting lineup and they cranked out 10 runs on 16 hits. Good stuff.

Both Bryce Harper and Mike Trout have already homered in their games. Good start for the young stars.

I see former wide receiver / running back / wildcat quarterback football star at Villanova, Matt Szczur, has made the Cubs opening day roster. I know alot of us lamented his decision to choose baseball but it seems like he made the right call. He had a great spring and could carve out a long MLB career. The NFL would have probably seen him screwed over in the draft and then have him jerked around the fringes of the league for years.

Anyway, one can imagine what kind of show he would have put on if given the opportunity.....

The Colorado Rockies have already been mentioned for their CF approved roster but I might have found an even better team. The Oakland Athletics. Here's their current roster with non-White players in bold:

So that's 4 non-Whites out of the 25 man active roster*. 84% White :thumb:

* It should be noted that a regular black player Coco Crisp is on the DL. However, when he returns he could take the spot of a guy like Ladendorf.

The Rockies are not far off:

5 non-Whites out of 25.

Some of the worst Caste teams, just sorta off the top of my head, are the Red Sox, Tigers, Royals, Rangers, Dodgers, Phillies, Pirates, Blue Jays and Marlins

Good stuff Freethinker. The Red Sox have sold out and have decided that giving undeserving cubans ridiculous amounts of money is the way to go. They are a far cry from the past decade of Red Sox teams.

The Dodgers aren't a terrible team - they have the overrated cuban Puig that BSPN latched onto early but he has proven to be maybe slightly better than average. Joc Pederson is a guy I am excited about on the dodgers as well as their 20 year old shortstop prospect Seager (the younger brother of Mariners 3B Kyle Seager).

Yeah Freethinker, that's without their (Oakland's) 2 All-Stars from last season! Josh Donaldson their leading HR hitter (29), was sent Toronto and Brandon Moss, (25 HR's) was dealt to Cleveland.

Oakland is even better today. They just activated Josh Reddick from the DL and option Tyler Landendorf. They now have 22 of 25 White players! An almost 90% White team. :D

Leonardfan, you are right that the Dodgers are trending in the right direction. Peterson looks to be a future star and their bench is heavily White. Maybe later this year or next they will be more palatable. They still have too many overrated negros like Puig, Rollins, Kendrick, Uribe and Crawford for me to root for them.

Mike Trout went 3 for 4 today with and RBI and SB. He's hitting .438 and has a 9 game hitting streak.

New York Yankee Mark Teixeira hit 2 HR's tonight giving him career HR number 370, moving him past Todd Helton and Ralph Kiner. Teixeira is now tied with Gil Hodges for 75th place all time. Teixeira has an outside shot at getting number 400 this season. He has the most HR's of any active white player.

Teixeira goes 3/4 today and another HR today giving 8 on the year and number 371 for his career and passes Gil Hodges for 75th alone all time!

Teixeira has an outside shot of getting to 400 HR's this season. Should he go one to play a few more years, get say; 450 HR's, 2,000 hits, 1500 RBI's. Does he go to Cooperstown?
