I hope I don't come off as rude, but I'm concerned with the way people on this forum are classifying people as "white"

Ochoa is clearly a Mestizo. He has white skin, but skin is not the only thing that makes someone white, at least not in my opinion and the general public as well.

The classifying of Uruguay as a white team concerns me as well. I haven't been able to catch a full match yet but from what I have seen and heard about the team they seem to be a fairly diverse squad. Their best player, Suarez is not only mestizo but has a black grandfather as well!

Also I'm still not convinced Dempsey is white. After watching a few interviews with him he seems to have mexican blood in him. To make matters worse, Dempsey was born in a heavily mexican area. Until someone proves me otherwise, he is part mexican to me.

I forgot to mention that Portugal's Eder should be given credit for dispossessing Michael Bradley of the ball in the final moments of the USA-Portugal game. He also made a terrific shot on goal, which was parried through Tim Howard's quick reflexes. Greece got lucky with a last minute penalty kick. And, how can Balotelli be blamed for Italy's loss? He was subbed at halftime. Was it his fault that Immobile, Cassano or any of the other players couldn't score a goal? Is it his fault that Marchiso got red carded?

I did not think it was penalty after seeing one replay. After seeing the second replay from a different angle it is clear his leg was clipped from behind.

Even without Suarez I still think Uruguay has a better chance against Brazil in the QF than Columbia. I'm guessing here as the only match I've seen Columbia play was against Greece and I thought the score flattered the Columbians. Given that Greece were mediocre in all of their matches that makes me think Columbia might be overrated due to winning in a weak group. They lost their first knock out stage match at Copa America to Peru after winning their group. Their squad has no experience playing at this level.

Uruguay aren't that good either but they did beat England and Italy, who despite not being great sides are still big names in world football. This experienced Uruguayan team has most of the players who also won the Copa America, including defeating Argentina in penalties in Argentina itself, and getting to the World Cup semi-finals in 2010. So even though they are past their prime I think they are the only South Americans (other than Argentina) who won't be intimidated by the all-powerful Brazil image/reputation.

Honduras v. Switzerland: Switzerland, I guess.

Ecuador v. France: France's team is so anti-white I wouldn't mind seeing Ecuador win. I'd rather see a non-white team from a non-white country than a non-white team from a white country.

they hit the post 3 times
they totally dominated
ivory coast did nothing dangerous

he said that what made italy exit the competition wasn't this game, but the one against costa rica, when balotelli missed some big chances
after the game against costa rica, he already said that they lost the game because balotelli failed to score
then in the uruguay game, the coach had to replace him at half time because he was so bad and was going to be red carded at any momment

balotelli is 100% responsible for italy's exit, everyone knows it and admit it, even his coach

prandelli took a gamble on balotelli
he took him on the team and made him the main striker of the team while everything showed that rossi, immobile, cerci, destro etc deserved to play more than him, and on top of that balotelli could get red carded at any momment, everybody knew that

prandelli admitted that he failed, because balotelli wasn't good at all at the world cup, and put italy in danger of finishing a game with ten men (remember that before the world cup he said that he wouldn't take any violent players to the world cup because he didn't want to end up with ten men - osvaldo was cast out because of that - but he kept balotelli regardless)

so prandelli admitted it, gambling on balotelli was wrong, it has failed
and like he said it's the reason why italy failed at the world cup

they won't be intimidated
and they have a lot of fans suporting them in brazil

but greece can also attack, pass the ball pretty well
they have proved this many times
remember that they didn't score against japan because they were reduced to 10 men early in the game

The most surprising aspect of Greece’s electrifying, ridiculously-late victory was how well the black players on the Ivory Coast handled the loss after the penalty kick was awarded and the ball struck the back of the net. They seem like the only African national team that has some class on the pitch and I'll give them credit, as most Negroes would have...well, you know. Greece is a team of aging players that haven’t looked good, even in a relatively easy group. Over the past 6-8 years, they usually sport some of the best team defense in the world, but even that facet of their game seems to be slipping in this tournament. They can’t score, they struggle to possess to ball with any kind of consistency, and they’re terrible on set-pieces. Nevertheless, there is something about this team that I really like. They have nice speed, athleticism, endurance, and they have a stunning “never say die” attitude. Let’s hope this squad, which starts 10 whites and 1 Mestizo, can somehow, someway, get past Costa Rica. They’re best hope is probably a draw, extra time, and winning in a shoot-out. But with this team, you never know.

The thoroughly-vile “Group E” will be decided later today…unfortunately, it doesn’t seem as though France can realistically be eliminated, unless Switzerland destroys Honduras and Ecuador destroys France. The most likely scenario is that Switzerland (who has white players, but few actual Swiss players) can beat Honduras and move through. It won't break my heart if they don't, however.

In “Group F,” let’s hope that Nigeria is eliminated by a loss to Argentina and Iran defeats Bosnia…which unfortunately needs to occur to eliminate Nigeria.

Tomorrow, in “Group H,” it’s pretty simple for Russia. Win against Algeria and they’ll likely play the winner of the Germany-U.S. on 6/30. The Russian team has been very disappointing, but hopefully they can pull it together and defeat this team of repugnant mystery meats…

When the World Cup Finals first began, Michael Ballack stated on ESPN that: “No African side will get past the group stage into the round of 16.” Cameroon was a putrid 0-3, Ghana needs a miracle to advance in Group G, Greece’s thrilling victory eliminated the Ivory Coast, and now only Nigeria (who should get throttled by Argentina today) and Algeria (who will hopefully be eliminated by Russia tomorrow) are still realistically alive.
